  1. Kiko just looks and sounds like he smokes weed and now everyone is doing it again and the government wants to legalize it.
  2. Go Fitz! I hope he does lead them to the POs against us. I think we'd win that! But seriously I still am rooting for the guy, he is a quality person and a good back up. I was a bit sorry to see him go but that was for the best probably.
  3. The only problem with trading Byrd is that NOW OR BEFORE the trade deadline is not a very good time to do so. His stock goes up before the draft, if a desperate team may offer a 3rd, if they need a FS then getting a 3rd for him isn't great and they should and can do better, it is not a Lynch type situation. The team that might do this would be a high pick too as they would have to think they have a chance at and in the POs. And that is if they if they trade him at all, I would just do what they are doing and let the chips fall until the off season when we have a better idea of how it all plays out. He might play (maybe) and be crap but I think he won't be. If we make the POs he would be an asset to the team and playing for a contract even more so. The team still holds the cards in many ways. I wouldn't give in, let him be "injured" oh well, it is only one roster spot. What are we going to save it for an extra kicker? And the locker room in this equation really isn't that important. If they continue to show they are on the way up players will want to play here, they may feel some resentment toward him but they too know that "it is a business" and I am sure some even feel for him. I doubt it is as divisive as it is being made out to be, he is not Aaron Maybe. Lastly, he isn't doing smart things, if he could be playing. Yes, he may get hurt, it could be bad enough to end his career even but odds are teams would show more interest in FA if he gave it his all. Even with his talent. He isn't Revis either but injury isn't that much of a determining factor, he will get decently paid unless his feet fall off (and 7 million plus what he has gotten the last few years should be easy living for a long, long time).
  4. The way the rules are about catches these days is just bad. Thing were different and better a few years ago.
  5. We actually could go to 4-2 or 3-3 but I don't see us losing both those games. Really hope McGilmore and dare I say Byrd are back for Cincy.
  6. Zazie try to keep positive my friend, there are negatives about almost any game, even if you win. The fact they kick the Ravens in the 1st half well enough to win shows some moxie and some luck. EJ was less than perfect, you are right by he did enough and we prevailed, I am happy with that.
  7. So wait, can DC Tom still call people idiots?
  8. Edgar Allan Poe The Raven [First published in 1845] Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door. `'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door - Only this, and nothing more.' Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December, And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor. Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore - For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore - Nameless here for evermore. And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before; So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating `'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door - Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; - This it is, and nothing more,' Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer, `Sir,' said I, `or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore; But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping, And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door, That I scarce was sure I heard you' - here I opened wide the door; - Darkness there, and nothing more. Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before; But the silence was unbroken, and the darkness gave no token, And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, `Lenore!' This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, `Lenore!' Merely this and nothing more. Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning, Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before. `Surely,' said I, `surely that is something at my window lattice; Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore - Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; - 'Tis the wind and nothing more!' Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter, In there stepped a stately raven of the saintly days of yore. Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he; But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door - Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door - Perched, and sat, and nothing more. Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling, By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore, `Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven. Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore - Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly, Though its answer little meaning - little relevancy bore; For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being Ever yet was blessed with seeing bird above his chamber door - Bird or beast above the sculptured bust above his chamber door, With such name as `Nevermore.' But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only, That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour. Nothing further then he uttered - not a feather then he fluttered - Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have flown before - On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.' Then the bird said, `Nevermore.' Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken, `Doubtless,' said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store, Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful disaster Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore - Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore Of "Never-nevermore."' But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling, Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door; Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore - What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore Meant in croaking `Nevermore.' This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core; This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er, But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er, She shall press, ah, nevermore! Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor. `Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore! Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' `Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! - Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted - On this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore - Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' `Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore - Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn, It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore - Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels name Lenore?' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' `Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting - `Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore! Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken! Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door! Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.' And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted - nevermore!

  10. “He is an honest man who quickly realised this belonged to someone else,” the head of the gendarmerie in Albertville. “He could have kept it to himself but opted to hand it over to the police." He is an idiot!
  11. I took a badminton class in University, sort of the same thing.
  12. Truly picked the right name for yourself It is funny cause it's true. Wow, really you must still be in jr high or whatever they call it these days.
  13. Shouldn't it be SOSDD? I mean that in reference to the board and this thread, of course.
  14. Trade this tread for the time I spent looking at it and you will get -3 minutes.
  15. We get small King Cobras around my house, I have seen about 5 now, two out side peoples down the streets houses and one inside my next door neighbors kitchen, all have been around 2 feet longish. I just relocate them if I am the one called upon do something about them, (sweep them in a box, with a towel and let them out in a field down the street, I have done that with 3 of them to date, just saw the other 2 in the grass). Even the little ones are pretty lethal though, have to be careful they can shoot venom at you. We also have a large dog sized mentor lizard that lives in a field up the street a bit. I am glad it doesn't come down to visit.
  16. Hockey fights are barbaric and stupid , 2 crappy teams going after each other. Who cares? (although that was the most awesome Sabre's clip I have seen in a couple of years). I am still on strike, first because we still have a crap GM who should have been gone long before the coach (who should have been gone too), a rich boy owner who has thick wool over his eyes (and made a fortune on fracking) and second because of the strike. The owners are more money grubbing low life by far than the NFL and that is saying a lot. i.e. the number of this years winter classics/whatever you call them.
