  1. Good news for N. Roosevelt bad for the rest of us, blowing out a knee always sucks!
  2. I definitely think the Bills will pick up some cuts, but "the other teams cut them for a reason" types are going to be all that there will be. They won't cost much unless they are cut because of the size of their contract. The Bills (if you look at that way just cut one of those in AS).
  3. It could be that the journey man is good, there is that chance. I hope it isn't that he's a coaches favorite. I saw a few of the giants games the year they mentioned and he did look good but look who he was surrounded by.
  4. Torbor, at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, has a bigger, stouter frame than Maybin (even though Maybin is listed at 6-4, 250). Torbor also has a firm grasp of the Bills' defense because he played the past two years for Bills defensive coordinator George Edwards, who was inside linebackers coach in Miami. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article97375.ece * sorry if it is in the other more immature Maybin thread already *
  5. I don't think it is too much to ask but last years team was a mess and he is real young that is all. I don't accept mediocrity and am hopeful he shows something. My point was as he is a fav because he is a Bill and that is why I will support him. If he just sucks it up we will see how long Galley holds on to him. My opinion is he get time because of his upside. Truth be told I (hell even Buddy) wish we would of drafted someone else. None of Jarouns tweeners is really a fav with me but we have what we have at this point.
  6. I like the Bills media lounge stuff, Chad Jackson looks good in those clips, I can see why Chan said he's impressed. I get the feeling Stevie J., Chad and Lee might have the most catches this year, I hope somehow Rosco can fit in there too, if who ever our QB ends up being it does seem like we have some potential targets anyway. If one of the TEs steps up as well, the Oline becomes the big issue. It is getting more interesting....I can't see it being worse than last year..
  7. He is a Bill so yes. I want production just as much as anyone but damn, it takes time to mature. Bruce is a really good example of that, maybe the best Bill defender ever, so was OJ let's just give the kid a chance. I have jerseys older than this kid. ***disclaimer. I am not saying he's Bruce or OJ*****
  8. I was wondering if Huggins would make the team as a special teams ace again, Easely has sounded good in OTAs and camp wish them both the best. If either or both get IRed then the only positive I could think of would be that N. Roosevelt might make the roster.
  9. Fixed, I hope these guys you don't think have the right to express a positive attitude about the team and their game have good seasons just to keep your big piehole closed in the future.
  10. The Detroit model? I am blocking the Hossage and MPL (whatever numbers he uses) posts so I don't know or care what they say but John put part of the chat (w/o edit) and too fat pig poop, just proves he is an internet troll right there. I wish he would be banned here too. Then I wouldn't be reading this. Anyway Jerry has an opinion just like everyone, and a butthole just like everyone the difference is you guys engage his and so he gets paid for it unlike hossage. Although I might be willing to pay him NOT to add his TROLLing crap to every thread posted on here. JW gets my props for sticking up for his friend and colleage but I would have given up on arguing with this particular poster long ago, no one cares what he thinks anyway. And if he was AS's friend (which I doubt btw) he was prob just his yard guy or gas pumper or something. Why bother just block him like I do.
  11. I remember this one pretty well, August 17, 1973 The Bills played their first game in Orchard Park, losing to the Washington Redskins, 37-21 at Rich Stadium
  12. I was only a lurker on here the first few years after I found the board. I only joined in the discussions after I moved from the States. I hope she comes back, I am on a few other boards.....(not about the Bills but just as large) that are much more moderated. They don't allow personal attacks 3 complaints against you and you are off on one. Going off topic should be ok but even in this thread (I just read up to page 8, I want my 7 mins back please) should get a warning to stay on topic 10 of those warnings and your off. I think there are enough posters on here to police it as mods if that was wanted. I could also see people getting warnings for just being completely out there and saying they did this illegal thing or your daughter sounds yummy or what ever, there ought to be some way to keep a level of respect.....10 warnings about that too? As far as negative posters go, I just started blocking them. Lori or TG could use this option, it works ok until some one quotes them in the thread. And I noticed one person who said good riddance to TG in this thread was the person who was responsible for his leaving......proud of that are ya bud? The board used to be better, it could stand some improvement.
  13. haha jw calling out the op, who is such a wonderful poster along with mpl0000 that I block them both, gotta love it. Sully writes some decent stuff and some crap, just like anyone who expresses opinions about stuff, I don't agree with some of it and I do agree with some of it.
  14. So no building for the future with you, just entertain me a little now and same crap different season Brown and who ever they pick next year could both be busts and or take a long time to develop but you don't care about that aspect.
  15. BFILV,I agree especially after this year because of the way FA was there will be a glut (and if there is no season next year a super glut) of good football players available. If the Bills have another sh1t season though there will still be a problem getting them to sign here.
  16. Ok I have read this and similar things many times on this board now, and I don't totally disagree but, and it is a but I would think about if I was playing. Vets salaries are based on the rookie scale that is determined by the market when rookies sign these outrages contracts, (I mean when they go FA) plus as rookies if they are drafted high, they make a lot. So, why would they agree to this RPS thing when they go to the bargaining table again? And this performance their first season? What about Tebow's situation, chances are he won't see a lot of playing time for a bunch of reasons his first season, so he shouldn't be payed well until he is? He will be making the team plenty just by being there even if he touches the ball 5 times all year. 3 years might be more like it and most sign for 4ish so there is more security for them in that regard too. It is a lot to give up I think. Lastly are they rfa or ufa when they don't sign 2nd year contracts? They don't get paid (with money anyway, at least not legally if they do) in the whole college football experience and they make plenty of $ for their schools (which in effect are farm teams for the NFL). I don't know.... I really can't see it happening, I could see a scale but a high one, kind of like the cap. There are a lot of issues with it though and I just can't see it getting far on the negotiating table BTW I don't like the hold outs either but that is the way the business is right now. One last thing happy birthday water bug!
  17. saw it online also and if you like RW you will enjoy it.
  18. Some times the board malfunctions (or my browser not sure which) and something gets posted twice, this never happen to you?
  19. So what, you remind me of the ppl on here that are saying the bills will suck this year, if they do are they going to come back on and say "hey I was right". Really, I just think your lonely and bored.
  20. Or AS let them know he wouldn't be in for a while longer than he said, or they were trying to force his hand for money reasons or they just wanted to know and AS wouldn't call them back or........... but I hope you are right.
  21. Injuries happen but working in pads will make the team tougher, so it is acceptable. It is not a country club atmosphere and I like it even if someone indispensable gets hurt.
  22. IMO AS retires. if he doesn't. we hold the trade cards unless he shows up here. They say they will release him if he does but that isn't written in his contract (I think this could be a bluff, as they don't have to release him if they didn't want to at that point). I think at that point they really would start to look for a trade partner, there will be injuries and such before the season starts, the time is not past IMO. This is playing out that they decided he needed the push to retire and was missing too much camp to satisfy them. They needed to deal with this because of his lackadaisical attitude about coming into camp. They also have others on the roster who they have to be fair to. This is a management of players issue and I think they are dealing with it as best as they can. It is and has been all up to AS, giving no commitment to him or him giving no commitment is bound to bite some one in the ass at some point. We just reached that point. I am a little relived myself, someone must be showing something in camp (or maybe he informed them he would miss all of camp or some other thing that we are not privy to). I don't really believe it is all about money, to me that just doesn't make sense. AS is an unknown quantity at this point and didn't have leverage to get what he wanted. I think he will be done. I think that the Bills know the story more than they are saying and it maybe the best way to deal with it. It is messy because AS made it that way, the FO has been very professional with a long time player and it shouldn't be a messy divorce but if your ex stays living in your house and you are not getting sex, love, promise of a further relationship or anything out of it maybe she leaves or you do, you don't stay together for no reason indefinitely. FO sounds like they just made the choice because AS wasn't 100% committed one way or another.
  23. In 73 when the new stadium opened the Bills started the pre-season against the wash redskins with a punt pass and kick contest. The kid who won threw it well over 60 yards. He was 13 at the time and he later became a HOF QB anyone one remember or know who it was? BTW he was from Pennsylvania. PS I am working on my own 13 year olds memory at the time so maybe I am not remembering it it right but I think I remember it correctly.
  24. LOL above in case you have the same problem with the options button thing you can go to the profile and block him in internet explorer (I never use it though), but I do see his original posts in this thread, so maybe it isn't going to work? opps edit I blocked his messages to me 1st time now I ignore his posts that is better
