  1. [quote name='Peace' timestamp='1283260399' post='1950179' As far as trading one vs the other, I don't care. RBs of their caliber are a dime a dozen. I totally disagree, this team blew last year and the 2 before for that matter and yet both managed to get 1000+ Two of our backs are #1 picks and the other one we got lucky and developed after playing in the bush leagues. Yeah they are better run blockers up front but the backs were/are good. Our Oline has and is been very bad and these two light up. Plus our new play maker makes defending just the RBs a chore, first the first time in a few years there will be more to game plan for than the running game. It will work, getting rid of any one of these three right now would be stupid. Saving a Bell or Simpson on the PS to develop for next year is a good idea because ML will be gone.
  2. I really think the OP should go to BB.com and read deHaven's bio, he is not Bobby April but he certainly knows what he is doing.
  3. yeah because trading your best players is the best way to build through the draft I want to hear this argument again in week 11 or 12 and you guys do know this is MLs contract year right? That maybe reason #1 they shopped him a little earlier.
  4. I haven't had any issues with this install but I am using IE not Firefox (which is not the browser I use for anything anyway). I also must say if you are out of the US like I am NFL games are just not available on NFL network or direct tv or any other way I can find (in Asia in any case). So not by choice I have to watch it this way. The Thai government has been blocking a lot of the sites too because they love to block stuff here. Justin, Channel surfing and most of those types are being blocked. The one this guy has been pushing is to me one of 2 options I can find this year and it is far better quality, in fact really the best stream I have had in 3 years of doing this. So I am thankful for it. On a sort of side note: It is a shame because if the NFL really wanted to they could develop a market here. There are a lot of Ex-pats from the US here and Thai's could learn to like it. Right now, I pay for premium satellite service (they have no cable here), there are four games a week, always big market teams even in pre-season and they play them over and over during the week. That is it and it really sucks. There is a TV show that they talk football on but it is all in Thai and I don't understand it much. They really could make more money but they chose not to pursue the market because it is small. This points out the NFL is never going global, to me. They could also spend some money to have little league here, I am a teacher and last year I had an American football "club" after school and the kids liked it a lot. If they could see games and knew more about it they would get into it for sure>
  5. In Your Opinion Jackson doesn't. We just don't agree with your opinion. More quotes about stats: An unsophisticated forecaster uses statistics as a drunken man uses lamp-posts - for support rather than for illumination. ~ Andrew Lang There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics. I can prove anything by statistics - except the truth. ~ George Canning I could prove God statistically. ~ George Gallup Statistics are no substitute for judgment. ~ Henry Clay
  6. huh? release the 2 back ups and keep Brown on the PS, that leaves us with Trent. Well, that would leave us some room for OLBs and WRs.

He guarded the gate to Hades (the Greek underworld) and ensured that the dead could not leave and the living could not enter
  8. SDS I understand your concern but that site that he listed is the only one I could get to work here in Bangkok and I am happy it was there to see the game. I don't use my IE for anything else so having the toolbar installed doesn't bother me.
  9. I think he will but yeah he needs to learn the Blitz pick up thing, he got beat at least 2 times that I saw the other night. Not knocking him just sayin
  10. Doubt it, we keep all three and Grown goes PS. Fitz is our best back up. in fact it is a great role for him. Don't think he has good trade value in comparison. TG needs something to write about. No doubt he gets paid by word count.
  11. I think your poll needs some kind of PS option.
  12. I don't think there are many surprise cuts. Unless you are hands down 1st team, a part of the 3 headed monster or a very good back up, your job is on the line. If they don't fit in one of those categories they can and might go.
  13. With ML an FJ you get players with different qualities but they are both good. I like both so I have no giant preference towards one back or another at this point. They are role players. We use them differently when they are healthy and missed one or the other when they were out because they didn't fill the other ones role as well. ML has the ability to have guys on his back and carry them into the EZ, he was used that way last year and the year before. So yeah he has more TDs than Fred. He is good at it and that has been his role. He lacks great field vision and tends to dance when he is backed up in space. Freddy is great at hitting a hole hard and quick he has good vision and can catch balls out of the backfield better. So, that was his role. He did in fact tend to get plugged up when the space wasn't there as the field was shorter and he doesn't have a knack for carrying people on his back as he runs. If there are stats to back that up really doesn't matter, that was how they were used and we all witnessed it. This is a funny debate, yeah with Spiller we are going to use them all differently and have even more options. Watch how Baltimore uses it's 3 headed monster, they all have the roles they play based on the strength of their game. Mcghee is the red zone guy for them just like ML has been for us. If you don't see it and just want to argue the point that is your prerogative but I don't see your point as that is not what we all saw for ourselves. I kind of hate that you think using stats is going to prove your point. It is an overrated tactic on this board and in football in general. Statistics are like women; mirrors of purest virtue and truth, or like whores to use as one pleases. ~Theodor Billroth Do not put your faith in what statistics say until you have carefully considered what they do not say. ~William W. Watt Then there is the man who drowned crossing a stream with an average depth of six inches. ~W.I.E. Gates
  14. I don't see any reports of any, is it possible there weren't any?
  15. yeah last years preseason meant nothing, just ask our O line and the offensive coordinator that got fired after it.
  16. Trent's stats for a half Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating T. Edwards 13 17 153 76.5 9.0 1 7 1 0 122.9 In a full game that would be 26 of 34 for 306 Those are stats of a real QB!
  17. if anyone sees one can they let me know thanks
  18. Wow yeah don't like to see it but there you have 2 guys trying hard to make the teams. Scary but football is scary that way. not sure you are ever going not to see this stuff.
  19. Fitz is a great back up which is a great thing to have Trent is what we want if he countinues playing like he did today in the real season
  20. they keep all three this year too many weapons is the best prblem we can have, ML goes nowhere
