  1. better but you need to download the plug in http://atdhe.net/22917/watch-buffalo-bills-vs-detroit-lions
  2. Nah I lived in Korea when the Steelers won the SB although Hines Ward was a household name they really don't have much American football to watch. Plus they didn't get it if it was on. I tried to get some Korean guy friends to watch the super bowl lol. The poster that said soccer is the worlds most popular sport is 100% correct. Plus there was a world cup in Korea. It is by far the biggest thing in Asia. Basketball is pretty popular.
  3. Costa was one of my favorites! Oh an Tom YOU are on the list already lol J/K Jason, Wow you choose to love the Bills? I thought it was a childhood disease I caught.
  4. In Thailand where I live there is little to none opportunity to watch games, I have no doubt it is the same in China. Football isn't as easy to understand as B-ball either I was teaching the kids at my school American style football last year and it takes real time to get the ideas of the rules. They all think it is football because it should be kicked all the time lol. Plus the NFL has no global vision, no developmental leagues in other places, no little league programs very little programing or marketing. The NFL saying they are trying to be a global brand doesn't translate into the NFL doing anything to actually do that. I would love to have a job to expand the NFL in Asia somehow. If I were them I would exploit Austria and NZ since they have football of sorts already first. I know it could be done but they aint trying. They also could go for Mexico and Canada (although Canada would get all protectionist about it, they could work a deal). Germany did pretty good from what I remember in NFLE, they just didn't do the whole Europe thing right. They could also have farm leagues in smaller cities in the US, I know college ball does that for them now but look at the financal oppertunity they ignore, it's crazy IMO, the real problem is that development takes time and cash up front and they (the owners) can't own the NFL only the teams so there is no real profit for them to think long range and outside the community they are in, hell they have to compete against each-other on the financial playing field it is not in their best interests to work toward a global market.
  5. Maybe sitting him was a good thing,in some way, he sure seems to have the fire this year. He didn't get hurt or use up his body that much more. I always like him and never understood the ppl on here or DJ's not using him. And sitting him after the fumble was stupid, I said it then and I repeat here now. I really didn't like that last year they said they were going to find ways to use him and then the only way they came up with was the end around (early in the season) after that it was just like ahh he takes up a roster space but we don't know why. I am sooo freaking happy DJ is gone! I am excited we have Chan, I am excited they used Roscoe last week in a creative manner.
  6. I honestly don't know but it is a great problem to have. I would guess we see about 50+ touches by rbs a game divide that by 3 who ever is doing the most damage any given day getting 30ish? IDK lol
  7. Always liked the pick. I am looking forward to being in awe of CJ "tear it up" Spiller for a long time and thx John for saying you were wrong but give it time you might not have been . No JK the team needed a playmaker & he is that, hell I was in favor of Tebow just because he was such a TD machine. BTW I do think it was a need given ML's issues off the field and the fact his contract is up this year and FJ's age (although I doubt it is as much of an issue as many of you do).
  8. funny Just think of it this way we got 2 1st round picks this year and one might not be any good (happy we didn't trade up for it) but could be better than that bust we took and cut last year. Does that work for you? I really hope this kid can work out for us, we badly need a pass rush and we will be missing the other Aaron this year.
  9. FWIR, I thought Simpson, C. Harris ,C. Gaddis J. Corto were all active roster last year doesn't that matter for PS elligablity? I kind of agree about the Hardy Nelson thing but think he won't show much on Thursday (I kind of hope I am wrong though). I don't see Wood being back up center unless we have a good back up at guard on that side. The only thing I have going for Chambers is his familiarity with more than one line position or he would definitely be a cut. I would really like it if they taught him or Gaddis to LS to free up that spot on the roster. Then either one would be worth keeping IMO.
  10. Some ppl don't have a high threshold of irritated, I know sometimes this place well, let's put it this way phhhpt! I wonder why I waste my time.
  11. With what Chan did with Thigpin I would think Edwards could be lined up short (pistol position), with a flank and an I behind him. It would work because you have three Rbs and 2 wr, hell if you have a slot receiver and leave the TE off the field it is almost a spread. It would be a good formation for a very quick out or slant. Getting your flanker in space would be easy because of the mismatchups. The more I think about this there are many things you can do. I kind of hate that the WC has the QB out wide #1 it is readable #2 your QB isn't protected.
  12. you may be right. I just think they might try to do that with him. I like the kid a lot he was tough do that with. I think it is an over loaded position though too. It will certainly be interesting to see what does happen with those 2 RBs.
  13. Die hard you joined a couple days after I did. I was a long time lurker before but finally signed up when I left the country. I remember when you joined because you posted in the I just joined the board thread right after I did. I was 7 when you started playing for the Bills and some of those teams you were on during that period were my favs even though it was the toughest period in the franchises history. Who could forget beating the Jets, the year they went to the Superbowl. I would have a lot of questions for you if you did stay. Like; what made the team crash and burn so bad? Is Ralph the reason as much as we think he was? Who was the best you played against? Do you like Ralph? What did you do after FB? That football card some one posted brings back memories, I had that one. There are a bunch of ppl on here who are on my ignore list because they say stuff that is just rude, didn't like it as a fan in the stadium and don't like it here. Thanks for reminding ppl that others have feelings. At least here you can ignore them. So finally I am glad you were on here and somewhat enjoyed it. I have been thinking about getting off here too. Sorry to see one of my favs go.
  14. Thanks Pilsner, I like your photo/aviator
  15. I like Blood for ML because he can be a bruiser I like Sweat for FJ because he has worked so hard to get where he is I like Tears it up for Spiller because he will tear up the field and the record books Altogether you get Blood Sweat and Tears
  16. Edit button only works a couple of times for me LOL. Final thought after doing this Fitz or Brohm one is a likely cut as well just for pure numbers. Then you have Brown on PS and still have three (what Buddy said he wanted), I pick Brohm to go at this point but could change that after Thursday.
  17. I posted it in the on the bubble thread but wonder what other think. My 53 man roster as far as what I think will be sept 12 this is what I think they do. This is pretty hard!! (to do). lol offense QB Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brian Brohm Levi Brown PS FB Corey McIntyre Rodney Ferguson PS RB Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch, C.J. Spiller (could go Thurs decision Chad Simpson) Joique Bell PS WR1 Lee Evans. Chad Jackson Naaman Roosevelt PS LT Demetrius Bell, Jamon Meredith, Ed Wang (I don't think Wang goes PS or gets IR'd) LG Andy Levitre Jason Watkins (to go lower likely PS) C Geoff Hangartner, Sean Allen (is possible too go too but I think C. Gaddis) RG Eric Wood, Cordaro Howard RT Cornell Green, Kirk Chambers (I might cut Chambers to go lower) I have 11 Oline men I doubt that so it is likely that J.W goes and maybe we keep Chambers and keep 10, if they do C. Simpson is gone. TE Jonathan Stupar, Shawn Nelson, J.P. Foschi WR2 Steve Johnson, Roscoe Parrish, David Nelson 25 or 26 still too many!! defense boy D is hard!!! LDE Marcus Stroud, Alex Carrington, Depends on thurs John McCargo may go DT Kyle Williams, Torell Troup RDE Dwan Edwards, Spencer Johnson Rashaad Duncan PS LB Chris Kelsay, Chris Ellis LB Andra Davis, Kawika Mitchell LB Paul Posluszny, Keith Ellison, Arthur Moats honestly I have no idea KE may go LB Reggie Torbor, Aaron Maybin, Antonio Coleman LCB Terrence McGee, Reggie Corner, Ashton Youboty RCB Drayton Florence, Leodis McKelvin FS Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Cary Harris PS SS Donte Whitner Bryan Scott Ellis Lankster possible PS as well I guess 25 or 26 The rest were cut (or bubbles) STs K Rian Lindell P Brian Moorman LS Garrison Sanborn (I hate that we keep LS as a ST player but thats just me) 3 total So I have 3 or 4 extra at this point Bubbles would be Ellison, McCargo, Lankster, C. Simpson, J Watkins, Chambers my 4 cuts/PS are underlined I cut Schoulman and Hardy, just a feeling I have about it. so I guess they were bubble too. I am not sure if c. Harris can go to PS if not cut my PS stands like this L. Brown J. Watkins E. Langster R. Duncan R. Ferguson J. Bell N. Roosevelt K. Calloway
  18. I think he makes the team by default of not having good tackles, it is a shame he has been injured. I think he'd be plucked from PS. I cut a guard and a center before him.
  19. I get rid of Hardy and Jones Roosevelt to PS, Go with 5 I could see anybody left going for number 2 except Parrish, coach thinks he is #2 so at this point it is not up to me. lol Spiller is not likely to be used that way just because he never was one, running routes out of the back field is very different then a WR set. I see the point but he is not a 2 position player. I could be wrong but if I am I guess I won't be surprised now. It sure sounded interesting I am all for creativity.
  20. You have a point and so do, I see yours but think that the we are better if we have all three.I think (and so does Buddy at this point) trading either of them for many of the reasons in this thread is just not a good idea. I am finished arguing with you. Sorry I got a bit over the top with the stats. I could prove God statistically. ~ George Gallup

  22. Lunch is my breakfast (most important meal of the day).
  23. In todays NFL the pass sets up the run, this may have been true since the advent of the no-huddle and all the pass happy rule changes. In fact you could see it last week in the first quarter when we tried run first and had to pass to soften it up. I don't think you need stats to back it up just look at the last 20 or so superbowls. So far as the line being good at pass blocking yeah that is a good truism in consideration of the first point. Getting a high draft pick running back, well if you don't your team better be able to run block well. A quality QB, check (another no brainer). Pass rushers AND secondary IMO and LBs who are tough against the run. One thing about all the 3/4s nowadays, if a team doesn't have good LBs you can run on them (as we are going to witness this year I am afraid). The best teams are well balanced or if they are totally pass happy they can run when needed. And yeah the Bellichick school says you don't pay a lot for backs. Sorry I didn't read the article because it is all basic truisms and I am not surprised Stats back it up. I think that it is interesting that Chan and Nix seem to have a little different ideas (by their actions thus far), I hope that the thinking outside the box works with the young team they inherited.
  24. No you are wrong 1/2 the backs are not 1000+ runners; back that up if you are going to post that crap, Lynch and Fred have both been rated top 20 rushers (Lynch 2007 11th, ML 2008 17th, FJ last year 17th) this doesn't include either of their pass catching. There are 32 teams each has at least 2 RBs that is 64 plus there are in reality more than that. so you are just brown eyed in this case.
