  3. you did notice his name is meathead , no?
  4. Actually ML should be almost as good as Spiller according to draft slotting he was a #12 Spiller a #9. The fact that he isn't a star is one of the reasons he has gotten the bad rep he has, even though he is damn good. Freddy has proved that he too is a damn good back, esply when last season is considered. IMO I think they can and will use all three. I doubt that ML is going anywhere and Sunday is his audition for the better team. CJ you can tell, will be a star. Of course, as Pilsner said we need some line play to get him some running lanes. I don't completely agree with TE needing to improve much for us to be able to run but it wouldn't hurt that's for sure! Fact is this team wasn't bad at running the ball last year w/ TE in there stinking the place up too, does that mean Freddy is the the best one? or just that he had some lanes because they made them for him. I think the fact that ML and FJ don't break many is because the line was/is sup par. CJ's speed will make that less of an issue.
  5. He's got Donte's Indian name mixed up with Trent's HeRunsBackwards
  6. I think McNeil is worth a trade but not that trade VJ meh
  7. Yeah these get old. No don't trade Evans and Whitner for 2 hold outs. 2 team 1st guys for 2 me 1st guys
  8. Nice !! Reed has to get in this year!!! BTW good work, and welcome here we need more womens voices round here. Voting now.
  9. good I hope if we trade him we get a whole lot more for him, (some other desperate team must have a starting quality tackle when they need a good back because of injury) another ILB who is good at run plays but not great at covering TEs in our division or a draft choice who may bust (esply if it is a lower one) just isn't worth it IMO, plus what I have been saying wevery since this all started, I really don't want to see another ex-Bill having a great career somewhere else, been there done that .
  10. It is strange that they put him at inside especially with what we have on the outside. Has anybody ever heard why they did that?
  11. Nice talking to ya in the shout box good luck and gesunthiet
  12. damn it im out already no way did it think the freaking Cheifs would win!
  13. Nice work but she could have stayed with him Thanks for sharing
  14. That is good information that I never have read before. They don't need to have an open bid in that case then? Would other owners be willing to approve it if the price seemed low?
  15. The fact that Kelsey is the longest tenured pick we have at 7 years always slaps me in the face pretty hard. Hitting no one in the draft that you hold on to is not the road to success either.
  16. That is a nice post but yeah the money is an issue, and I think ML is under a reasonable contract until the end of 2011 (am I wrong? he has a six year deal, no?). I always thought that Hawk was a bit overrated to be honest with you but maybe I am wrong. He seemed to be better a couple years ago for some reason. I never thought he was all that in coverage but honestly who notices LBs in coverage unless they blow at it. The restructuring deal seems problematical this year in particular. I hate LB tackle stats because assists are counted (he didn't average more than 100 in his first 4 unless you add those in, in fact last 2 years not at all even with them in). Some agent must have thought of that idea. Actually looking at his stats he is better than I thought but I am not sure we should do it. I think we wait and see how we are with 3 backs first and if whatever Chan had plan for the 3 of them works at all. Or maybe Nix is just shrewd as hell and he will do something like this and it will work out great. I will be real jealous if some other team gets one of our good players and makes something out of them. I have seen that happen way too much in the past. GB is more desperate to get this done than we are, I hope if we do it, it is under very good (we take advantage of them good) terms. I don't think player for player is THAT good; a very good draft w/ him is.

  18. Hmmm Drinking , pot or meditation, Serenity now isn't working
  19. "I told you so" might be in order around week 12 and on at the earliest (and only about this season as you can't use it about the future). This is not a 1 year project anyone who thinks so has their heads looking up somewhere at a whole lot of brown. IT WAS ONE GAME!!!!! They will see what they have and what is salvageable. Bill is right they improved where they thought that they could in the offseason this year on the D. Last year they made some nice picks on the Oline and even D backfield. I know it has been 10 years I been through it too, I have my own criticisms of the job they did but playmakers are a NEED we have NO star players. CJ is supposed to fill that role. ML's contract is up in 2012, Fred is going to last a few/couple years. It was a good pick as he was BPA. I think if you are going to doubt a choice Troop would be it but that was also a need. It is not denial to realize ones limitations some things had to be addressed according to who is the best option too address those needs. The uncertainty of 2011 no doubt had a role in what happened too. You can"t expect the to fix it all in one season, this team has at least of 4 years before of very bad management. We have one player from drafts 7 years ago, 1 and it is Chris Kelsey. I'm still excited about this and next year. Even if they don't win a lot. I think we will see progress. That is what I am looking for. Rome wasn't built in a day.
  20. His stats look ok but he would be an inside LB here, that is the biggest reason I cannot see it happening. I mean we kept ML this long and yeah injuries might be driving up the asking price right at the moment but in effect we would be trading depth for depth. I think Hawk sounds pretty good. The best we could do is to trade depth for quality starter and by that I mean someone that would start at a place we don't have a quality starter. If it was this guy and a 2nd rounder yeah you go for it.

  22. Only to keep the Cheats down to 1-1 Jests
  23. Nix is is a good position to help the team with a trade but sending a 1st round pick who made the probowl (and would likely make it again for GB) for a 3rd would not be a good move without a player who was damn good along for the ride. The LB they are offering with the 3rd isn't it. I agree with the Mike in Ss opinion that this could look bad for BN if he did it, so he prolly won't. I just looked it up they signed ML to a 6 year contract as a rookie? wow. I thought he was up at the end of the year. so double no he isn't going out for less then a second and a decent player. And this guy sounds like one of our players already, in the league since 2006 and no sacks? mid 60s in tackles http://sports.yahoo....fl/players/7754 also keep in mind it won't be a lower 2nd or 3rd round player, more like an early 3rd or 4th.
