  1. Now the Bills in your house on Sunday and my weekend is complete Thx! Leafs. I am surprised by our goalie tho!
  2. KCs defense made the same 43 to 34 switch last year and it went about the same way ours has up until the last few games, give it time guys (and personell)
  3. So why didn't they just go the injury settlement route? Isn't that a cheaper option? Green does not need to be here next year and as of now he is still a Buffalo Bill. Am I missing something? Why isn't he cut?
  4. Ok I admit they have not lived up to my hopes or expectations. Thanks for pointing out it was wrong for me to be optimistic about my hometown team and that I am an idiot for calling out the press for being such douches about our chances. I love I told you so's.
  5. thanks guys I just found it out in the shout box, yeah when you go back, we will be 12 hours ahead of you, 11 now so next week I stay up until 4am. Better than last year when we had so many 4pm starts was hard to stay awake for those (and through them LOL). Oh and DST is what the Bills website says this week.
  6. So what time is the game on today is it 1 pm EST? When I look at the web sites it says 1pm EDT. I am in Bangkok, we don't have daylight savings time here. Did you all just fall back this week? Does that fact that this is is in KC make it later?
  7. Still talking about that backwards bounce pass? LOL
  8. I hope you are right. I think it will be a pass out of the backfield if anything, they lined him up out wide earlier this year. I look for that again to get some mis matches and cause confusion. I would also try running C. McIntosh up the middle as a real full back against the Chiefs, they are fast and hard hitting but a little bad a wrapping up.
  9. The Chiefs are for real this year, no doubt it will be a tough game. I expect Chan will go to the air early and often to get some points on the board first. The pass to set up the run. It is a team he is fairly familiar with so I do expect a good game plan. I think he was almost happy with the D after last week and what they did at the end of the 4th. It will all be about stopping the run and if KC also decides they want to score quick with their plan or if they establish the run like the Jags did. If they go with the Jags type plan I see a similar game if they go with the Ravens plan we may win. In either case it is a pass first league these days and I think since the light is going on for Fitz and the Oline is doing a slightly better job we should be able to beat a running team. If our lines hold up. Pass well, stop the run. Keys to the game in my mind.
  10. Those are good points and his abilities to read the D and communicate to the blitz pick uppers and his Oline has improved a lot the last 2 games too. His arm is plenty strong but his hands are too small (could account for wobble on passes but that is easy to correct). He still side arms his motion a bit or sometimes throws a Joe Capp/punt/pass but his mechanics are heads and shoulder above when here got to Bflo. Actually I have been thinking that since the Indy game last year.
  11. not that I blame you but I hope you stick around, I would hope since that post was removed you also understand SDS or some mod was looking out for all of us who appreciated you and your participation.
  12. This is from Jerry Sullivan's News column CNN just quoted it. About the rookie cap it will still be high, no way NFLPA wants it down low. Rookie salaries are now based on Vets at the position already plus bonus. Everyone in the league plays through college waiting for the pay off in the pros. Plus the career is average of 5-6 years for most players.
  13. THIS ^ and THIS v I still understand and like the pick and just as a reminder the Bills OL has been less than stellar this year as well. He are some stats from another rookie who was called a bust by fans on a team with a bad OL Rk ▾ G# Date Age Tm Opp Result Att Yds Y/A TD Rec Yds Y/R TD TD Pts Rt Yds Y/Rt TD 1 1 1969-09-14 22-067 BUF NYJ L 19-33 10 35 3.50 1 2 64 32.00 0 1 6 3 68 22.67 0 2 2 1969-09-21 22-074 BUF HOU L 3-17 19 58 3.05 0 1 5 5.00 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 3 1969-09-28 22-081 BUF DEN W 41-28 24 110 4.58 0 5 45 9.00 1 1 6 1 17 17.00 0 4 4 1969-10-05 22-088 BUF @ HOU L 14-28 13 27 2.08 0 3 32 10.67 0 0 0 1 22 22.00 0 5 6 1969-10-19 22-102 BUF @ OAK L 21-50 6 50 8.33 0 1 11 11.00 0 0 0 2 51 25.50 0
  14. I agree for the most part although, I would say BPA within our needs (with a high enough pick and as many needs as we have, that should be pretty easy IMO). I don't ever want to hear the word "reach" again.
  15. Neither position should or will ever be worth number 1 pick unless they are superstars and it is a very late #1 (and if a RT is a superstar he should be a LT). I also pretty much agree with Albany but could see the Bills taking Locker or Mallet (just because RW said we were going to get a QB) I would hope one of them would last til the second rd.
  16. If he does can we demote Edwards and hire him for DC? Please
  17. Buffalo Bills Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating Ryan Fitzpatrick(notes) 29 43 374 67.4 8.7 1 0 4 2 106.2 Baltimore Ravens Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating Joe Flacco(notes) 16 31 250 51.6 8.1 2 21 3 0 111.0 it was the INTs that hurt his rating and one wasn't really all on him as he got hit as he let it go. Overall Fitz was better than JF. Really encouraging stats from the game Third Down Efficiency 11-17 2-11 Time of Possession 38:36 25:30 Total Net Yards 506 364 Total Plays 79 62 Average Gain Per Play 6.4 5.9 The 4 turn overs killed us and the refs finished the job. I still kind of think Bal. maybe heading to a SB this year, so I was impressed with the game. Esply the gonads the team showed in the 4th on O and D. The 2, 3and outs at the end that the Bills gave the Ravens were very big (although I have no idea why they didn't run it more). It was good to see the Bills D step up there.
  18. They didn't blitz a lot (like the Jets) but they did try some. I think a few things kept it at bay even in the shotgun we had Mc Intire in motion on the line and blocking (nice move coach) and handed off in that formation a few times. I thought the blitz was read much better by Fitz a few times when he saw it coming and got it out quick to his WRs. The O-line just played better, too. I like Howard a lot more than Green, he had help but man he is a large step above the 3 million dollar man. It was a good offensive gameplan and good execution, something we haven't seen in a while around here.
  19. Wow, couldn't read the whole post but I think that being a teacher, you learn that if you can't control a kid with your smarts, something is wrong with you. So the question is are you smarter than a 1st grader? or a 10th grader.
  20. Agree with number 2 that should go. A bunch w/ receiving and D interference seem to make differences in games like never b4.
  21. Next year is the year to make some substantial FA pick ups after the CBA thing this year there are quite a few more than usual and no where near as many RFAs. I am particularly excited about the LBs available. Sorry I had a link before but I can't find it now. FWIR there are not that many decent OTs, so we will draft one or more IMO. I also expect picking up a TE as even if Nelson is good we need two (If trends like what NE started this year are any indication).
  22. I would agree but I just can't. Think about it this way; who were the QBs when this team in the 60s and the 90s? You need a super good QB to play in the playoffs (and I think RW is right 3 years for winning in the POs). There is no waiting until next year for that pick again because we may improve and not be in the position to get that pick again. This appears to be one of the strongest QB classes (so far)in a long time. We have to go for it if the opportunity is there. Then that pick will have to ride the pine and develop behind Fitz or someone we pick up (who is starting quality) if we get really lucky in FA. The line has to improve or we will run the risk of effing up the development, watch what happens with Mc Coy in Cleveland if he is left in there the rest of the year now. Our OT pick can be a #2, sounds like no one is going 1st round (at this point anyway) I want our lbs and TE DL in the next 3 rounds in BPA order and then BPA regardless of position for the last 2. We can fill other holes in FA (esply w/ LBs next years LBs are good) the class is 2x the size of this one and we should have some good chances to sign if we are willing to spend (which we should have some money to do it, more so now than in recent history).
  23. The only good thing about this is I go through these threads when someone quits and put ppl on my ignore based on how they respond to it, of course some ppl in this thread have already earned that. When Die hard "quit" a bunch of ppl earned it, same with Lori. I wasn't really around much the week that TG quit. Also using the report feature really does have an effect and if someone is being a dick, I don't see any reason for hesitation. It is snitching to say hey, this person doesn't know how to function in a society? No, it is common sense, the board monitors really can't and don't catch everything. It is the purpose of it, self policing on the board is kind of like a "neighborhood watch". I am all for freedom of expression until someone is a rude butthead.
  24. Sears used to have a scratch and dent store on Elmwood out past Hertal somewhere near where the Pirrce Arrow old car factory was, I bought a 600$ dishwasher there for 140$ in the 80s and it looked good the scratch was on one side no big deal at all. That DW worked like a charm until at least 2006 when I moved and sold it for about what I paid in the first place. JFYI I haven't lived in Buffalo since 93 but who knows that store might still be there. About the Jimbo and his collective buying the Bills thing, yeah somethings up. JK and RW aren't going to tell us just yet but it must have a side that the other owners don't like about it or there is a good tax reason or some fool thing that we don't know. Lets face it they would both hurt their legacys' in a big way if something doesn't keep the Bills in Bflo. They know it, they both care about it and they both have wagged their tongues about it a bit now.
  25. It would be nice if this was in the terms of service statement and the moderators would have done something about it when it happened before any one of the journalists decieded to quit. I would have reported it often if I knew that statement existed before TG left as he was getting tons of crap from ppl. I though both you and JW were better at handling it, to be honest and both of you seemed not to get offended very easy but JW sure did let it go both ways at time too.
