  1. I'm okay with it but Mount Shadow is better IMO
  2. Good luck Lee, Thanks for your time in Bflo. I thought the Raven's were going to the big game last year, maybe having you aboard will help their cause. I wish you the best and that you and Fitz would have sparked a bit more.
  3. really funny stuff! About TO, if the WRs we have suck up the joint now or suffer a lot of injuries and TO stays available and our record is good enough to stay in the playoff hunt ....... maybe he would be a fit. If we do have a bad receiving corp now, I am sure Gailey will be regretting this move. But at this point I am wait and see about it. This particular lower 4th round pick had better SHINE when he finally gets here.
  4. It could be argued that at least from the 2nd round on 2009 was a Nix year as well (at least in the draft part of this).
  5. How would "that's two for Mc Adoo!" work for a DE anyway?
  6. When ever someone says the Oline was ok last year I think about the Jets game where the team couldn't move the ball at all and then Fitz picked up 10 yards on a broken pass/run play. They seemed a bit sparked by it but it just shows you how Fitz's ability made up for some of the terrible play. I thought Rinehart played better guard than Hang last year too. Wottro seems good as back up but Howard was beyond raw. I think Urbik is getting the call because he was "next on Buddy's board" during the draft and they have faith he will be good if they play him. Pears I think can work out, he was a starter on a kind of badish team but he has looked better than some of the scrubs we have had in there, in the recent past. I would love to see another (swing tackle or starting GOOD rt please) player or 2 brought in when cuts are made, trade or maybe they will raid more practice squads. It seems to be a case of will this guy fit and what do we have at the same time, I am sure gailey is at least showing a bit of frustration with it so far. I think they have brought in bigger (which is a major strike against Hang) guys and that, that is a good thing. I guess they just are kind of waiting to see what these guys can do if they are healthy and stay that way. Clabo was the only tackle they looked at because he fit IMO they just didn't see it with others that were out there in FA. I understand 3 year rebuild plans take time but it is hard on us fans. I am willing to bet though that all these players that teams like Philly filled up on are going to not be as good as everyone is thinking. FA is a good place to fill out your team but not to build one from. In my opinion the Iggies are going about it like all these pieces will show up on gameday like the prison boy did and I think that he is an exception and they are over looking that fact. Parts of a team need to gel, even play making parts. To be honest look at the first 5 or so games to be a bit disappointing (but probably better) with all the changes in our D. I do think that this O line stuff takes time, even once they have the guys, they have to play together for a while before they look good. That has been one of the biggest problems the last few years IMO, too many damned injuries to gel into a unit coupled with less than stellar talent and little depth. I do like that BN goes at this in a pragmatic (if somewhat cheap) way. There are always linemen that develop out of late rounds or even UFDAs (Clabo, Peters for 2 instances) maybe they can get by with these guys, they seem to be devising some schemes to try. And next year I am sure they go after more. Here's to hoping and staying patient.
  7. Good post Kelly I agree but I would say a 2nd (I kind of think you implied a 3rd there a 3rd and another I might think about) or a player who can start on the Oline, that price is right. Now is there a team that will offer that? Time will tell. And BTW if the team looks like they can't move the ball with out Lee they could always resign TO. This is not a losing situation really. Fitz and Stevie like TO and he might be okay by week 6 or something like that.
  8. +1 I love how Nix got him too, very tricky http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2010/12/2/1851794/report-bills-claim-te-scott-chandler-on-waivers just in case you missed it
  9. I don't really understand this. Why take the excitement and foot out of football? Rex Ryan scare them or something?
  10. Actually I have thought about this and looked at from both sides over and over. If they actually do get a 2-3rd it is above the usual selling price and worth it, I would rather they didn't and kind of hope they don't. If it was for a starting RT or a young and very decent swing, who might compete to start at RT. Pull the trigger, I guess. Chan half complains about Evans and he moans just this week, that WE NEED Oline help. If they do this, that is the most logical thing IMO. So far as it being Lee, I like him and always have. Good but not great player at a position that we seem to be kind of deep at. It makes sense for the right price. Buddy please do this only if you get the right price, okay?
  11. Did you watch it? I knew I shouldn't have said conspiratorial.
  12. He was also 1st rounder their other tackles don't intrigue me and honestly either does this idea of trading Lee unless we get a 1st or a "youngish starting rt"..... next
  13. Player for player, youngish starting RT or nothing. Is their Levi Brown any good?
  14. The Burchfeild Penny center is across Elmwood from the Abright- Knox too, real nice area around them too (Deleware park and the streets around that side of the Albright have some nice homes to see). Also there is the Martin house (by Frank Loyd Wright).
  15. I kinda like one night stands. I opened with what she thought was an offensive line, so she went on the defensive and I showed my big front 7. While she was impressed by the size she told me my 2 minute drill wasn't working so I went with the run and shoot. After a brief time out, it was back down into the trenches, my guys were penetrating her back field pretty well and the game and her were tied up at the end of the half. The third quarter opened and I took the kick off all the way. My front 7 was again plugging all the holes and we intercepted a pass to her tight end. When on the offensive again we marched down the field on a long drive and were into the redzone. She tried a safety blitz but my wide receiver caught the ball for the score. The 4th quarter arrived and she had the ball, she fumbled it away but recovered a turn over on the next set of downs. We were up and down the field the whole time. My game plan was proving a success and I anticipated she would tie it back up so we could go into overtime. She got six but it was a 7 point game her offence stayed to make a two point attempt to seal the deal. It was a fake though and her quarterback back drop kicked the ball through the uprights, so we went into overtime both tired but hoping we would move on to a victory. I won the toss and elected to receive, she kicked off and I took the ball at the 5 and ran it back 69 yards. On the snap of the next play my qb fumbled from under center and her weak side backer recovered. She proceeded to separate the men from the boys and got the ball back down to my redzone. She went back to pass but I got the sack on some good penetration again. She went up the middle and was stuffed. Then she tried the end around and I demolished her wide receiver. She went back to pass for the fourth down, my guys weren't finished with the goal line stand, her qb pitched out to the fullback who tried to bull it up the middle again. Stuffed at the 2. Turnover on downs. I took the ball and decided this is where it would end. My QB tossed a perfect 80 yard hail mary that was tapped around but came down in my tight ends hands. He rumbled for the remaining yards and went in for the touch down and spiked the ball. Victory was mine.
  16. Not flaming as I was working on mine yesterday and it is really, really similar , My changes: Caussin and Chandler as the only TEs (last year we had 3 but less talent in general, why waste a roster spot on a marginal player who makes it obvious we are going to run?) I think Rossie goes on the WR roster and maybe depending on health and the rest of camp Easley, if not straight up cut or PS/IR. My surprise vet cut is S. Johnson, Jasper makes the roster just for being to tempting for other teams if he is PSed. Oline I would cut Horward (I know Gailey likes him though) because Mansfield Wrotto, got a new contract, I doubt he is cut. I have one spot open because I don't know about Easley and of course there are other team cuts and PS players trade possibilities to come.
  17. #34 Hi and welcome to the board, 10 posts in and you went on my ignore list good job!
  18. Yeah, kind of plays on your emotions (as a Bills fan) when you watch that. Very weird it is buried on the google search too I had trouble finding it again (some one posted in in the shout box about a month ago and I watched it). I usually don't go for the conspiratorial stuff but this has a lot more to it than the norm.
  19. I think the Bills are putting it out there that he is available, getting the phone ringing so they can get a starting RT in exchange for him. Lee is a good player they know the advantages to keeping him and they might just be gauging value. If the right team bits a player for player trade could happen. If it was a good, young starting RT, I would see it as a good move. He is one of the only real players (that doesn't quite fit the team right now) that we could trade and get anything out of at all if you think about it. For draft picks not so much, Lee is a proven commodity, draft picks are bets or at best like investing in a shaky stock market. The way Chan spoke after practice with Wang in there the other day you know there is going to be something done. Couple that with what he has said in the past about Lee finding other ways to be of use to the offense and the perceived glut of young talent we have at the position and lack thereof at others, these rumors make sense. Cutting Lee out right is a dumb plan. Would just make me do this
  20. I am hoping that we STILL are not done working on that line, there are cut downs that will make some talent available and we can raid more teams PSs again this year. It actually goes along good with the "building through the draft" as Nix pointed out when they picked up Urbik last year he was like a free draft choice. I am not entirely sold on him as I thought Rhinehart was better but the Bills have faith.
  21. I was gonna say that but would have used the Pats*
  22. Me too, I think one TE is out and we go with 2, unlike last year when we had 3 (even if they cut two, I think we have 4 in camp right now, there is a strong chance one of them is sitting on his couch waiting for the phone to ring) and keep Jasper and 9 LBs with the addition of Smith. The real tough question is going to be which WRs are going and who are going on PS this year.
