  1. We didn't take Cody because those man boobs would of just distracted everyone in the locker room.
  2. Hell, feed Cory. My idea on short yardage is to line him up with Smith and have him get the snap. Bowlingball right behind Wood and and a guard. There are so many run combinations that we should look to establish, just like the passing game spread the ball around rely on your work horse but spread the ball around. Running is something we should look to do now the weather is going to turn and we need to have more balance through more variety.
  3. First half decent showing, second half. D on the field too long and can't get off. Big and strong got tired and beat down and I don't, never did and never will like bend don't break. Makes some sense against NE* but we should have put real pressure (blitzing that team would have been good) on the rookie QB and keep AJ doubled like flys on ****. Benson isn't Fred Jackson and wasn't going to kill us anyway.
  4. This Agree with the conforming part Sr. is like a legend, jr is like the kid of a famous person. I think it should be 3 sexy lesbians and me and we don't play golf but do try to get holes in one.
  5. Wow, love the conspiracy theories on this board, we need more of that.
  6. I like to think of what you are talking about here as a "Bills moment". Sort of like a senior moment thing. But no, for some reason I know lately that this is a different team. My team is past that.
  7. I kind of think Wanny is the back up plan, and George is a likable guy, I was kind of referring to his personality a lot more than his coaching (at least in the series of play reviews that they had on BB.com). Batton is a special teams beast and I liked him in preseason, I love his aggressiveness. I would like him and Moat in there to spell players more and get better looks at them. I think Spencer is playing well too D. Edwards not so much, too bad too I liked the signing a lot but I just don't see him doing anything good.
  8. Fitz is as good as his line and apparently his gameplan. I fault Chan more than Fitz for the results today.
  9. I don't really care about the Jests and just hope we have an answer for their D this year. When I lived in NYC I was actually a lot more interested in the Giants. Maybe it was just a thing for thier colors.
  10. I watched today with a iffy stream so I may have missed a lot, I am not really that sure one way or another. That being said some views from here. 1. I thought we should come out on the first couple of drives going for some longer passes, it looked like one of the few Cinnci weaknesses going in and I thought it would work to open up the run game. Chan seemed to think so too and I think he tried sticking with it too long. What I learned today: Dink and dunk works for this team, make the other team take that away first. 2. Why pay Brad Smith and CJ if we can't get them into the gameplans, I thought we would have some imagination on offense. BS was working good in short yardage against other teams and they had film on it. So why not put him back there to do that but throw a short pass instead. Or hand Cory Mac the ball once in a blue moon, the guy is pure power. I could also see FJ and CJ in the backfield as a tandem, stop putting one in the wing back position when you have them both there and leave a team guessing who will get it, We need to pro set a bit more against 4/3 teams IMO. The 4 or 5 wide sets with short yardage isn't going to work against good coverage teams who can put pressure in Fitzys face, we need some alternatives. We need a good running game to have TOP in these games. Besides TOs we need to win that battle more. 3. Nate Clements was a good pick up for Cinnci, we maybe should of considered that, he is stout against the run and at least good still in coverage. Mc Kelvin just is not getting it done consistently. Brain Scott, hell of a game! And Byrd is the best tackler we have in the backfield. 4. The middle of the Oline was a bit weak against a good tandem of rushing ILBs, I actually thought there were too many pass attempts that took too long to develop though so in honesty in the pass game I thought they did all right. The running game not so much, but another thing about Chan here, why can't we try the outside a little when the middle isn't working? BTW Hairston played good from what I saw. Is the Bell experiment going to end if he is out a while? 5. I sit here and hope and pray the Merriman experiment works out but honestly (and it kind of kills me to say it) Kelsey is out playing him and is getting more contain and pressure. Shawn is an upgrade over what was there last year no doubt but I wonder when they run right at him and Edwards. Oh and I like Spenser Johnson better than Dwan this year, he seems much more hungry. A Davis is still better than people give him credit for too. Today at least, Barnett had trouble getting off blocks in the middle of the field too, Kyle too. That Cinnci Oline is stout and that really helps the rookie. 6. George Edwards; hmmm I like you George, loved the off-season watch the tape series you did on BB.com, sorta liked the game plans against the Pats* and Faders. But a rook QB, who played a bit like a rookie today and we didn't blitz or stunt much at all? I give you until the bye, if we don't improve (which we did as the season went on last year, I will give you some credit for that), don't forget Wanny could take your job. 7. The Tuck rule, Okay I understand the rule BUT I don't understand its purpose. I would expect it is there to stop the QB from getting hit after he has tucked it. BUT it doesn't work, football is just too fast and instinct takes over on every application of the rule I have ever seen. The hit still happens no one pulls up and good defensive plays are cancelled, the qb could still be left laying injured on the ground = ineffective. I think most people are against the rule because THAT. The judgement aspect of the rule aside. Very poor game by the officials all around, in my biased opinion. Made up for the luck we had the last 2 weeks. 8. I think next week I have to find a new lucky tee-shirt. 9. We need our Dline to JUMP UP with the hands up more. Next week it is really important. If we can't pressure get your hands up damn it. 10. Fitz is as good as his line and apparently his gameplan. I fault Chan more than Fitz for the results today. 11. One game, we can come back from that and I am confident that we will Still tops in the east.
  11. It was a bad game where they matched up pretty well against us and we didn't out-play them. One bad game doesn't ruin a season if we don't let it. Credit to the Cinnci team, they have really improved on D (and are better than I thought they were just in general) even if we were not firing on all cylinders. Oh and I have seen some badly officiated games in the past but this one rates right up there.
  12. I usually don't mind that much because he was such a great Bill but this game he was like the Anti-exBill, just 100% annoying. He was never good but this was a new low.
  13. Okay I understand the rule BUT I don't understand its purpose. I would expect it is there to stop the QB from getting hit after he has tucked it. 14. I am not sure why Kyle Williams and others on the line are not getting criticism, in fact Spencer Johnson and Bryan Scott are the only people on the team with sacks. Seems like a more key defensive stat at this point is TOs, the Bills are plus 2 in that department.
  15. This ^^^^ and the gay stuff on here gets annoying. I mean come on it's 2011, gays even play football professionally and probably always have. It wouldn't be funny to you guys if this was about race and you should give it a rest.
  16. One other thing, I also assume that Morrison is healthy again? Maybe this was the plan since they picked him up.
  17. First "star" QB we've had that didn't have the initials JK. Whole new world
  18. It is kind of funny to see all the complaining about Merriman's pass rush, if you read SDs fan forums when Lights Out was Lights Out, they loved his abilities at getting at the QB but really had some complaints about his play on run downs or against run teams. IMO he is greatly improved in that area. I also think the shoulder must be bothering him at least a bit. I would also point out that we haven't been playing the same scheme (by a long shot really) that SD used to (they were strictly the original 3-4 type D). It takes time to adjust your game to the differences and you might not put up the kind of flashy stats that you did previously in another scheme, i.e. Jaruis Byrd. It doesn't mean that you are not doing a good job. I also expect Merriman will improve as the year goes on as long as he is healthy. I also like the fact that we have some young guys moving into back up roles that don't seem to be that much of a drop off. Our LBs are a bit old (not really very old but it is like the rb position age wise in some ways) and we will probably lose at least A. Davis in FA this year (or let him leave). I happen to think that is kind of a shame as he is a great gap player (IMO) and is really comfortable next to Barrnet and they seem to have really good chemistry. I love that they have Moats back at OLB (as it seems he is more comfortable and as far as I can see better there) but I like that they gave him some training at the inside. I think it is great we have that kind of option after years of just having terrible players at both inside and outside. Our D seems to have some depth for the first time in years in the front 7. Now it is just a matter of having some in the CB position lol, irony of ironies after all the years of DJ.
  19. That is a nice write up, didn't realize Fred had a twin brother. Interesting at the end he says he feels he has 7 or 8 years left in the tank, that would be some kind of record, a 38 year old running back. I hope we re-sign/extend him this season. Love this about CJ too One thing I like about this Bills team is having competition has stepped up peoples skill levels or at least brought out the best in players.
  20. I have thought since last year that Rhinehart is better, but the staff must feel Urbik has more growth potential or something. It will be interesting to see what happens when Urbik is healthy again and just as an aside, I wish we had this kind of depth at the tackle position. I also want to give credit to Chan, Alesandro and mostly to Buddy for getting these kind of guys in here off waivers and PSs last year.
  21. i like that it kind of explains the spread but i don't like it mentions the difference between the college and pro games but doesn't explain that.
  22. Thanks for stopping by, tell them (Chan) they need to feed Cory the rock sometimes. I have wanted that for years. Love the guy, would love to see him run it. He can do mean things!
