  1. I saw a vid of this kid last year sometime maybe they are bringing him in to teach Fitz? I kid.
  2. James Lofton V2 do it in a heartbeat.
  3. Please this I know Chan said it but I don't buy it, if it was true teams would blitz every pass play. There is this ^ And then there is this ^ This goes for VY (as much as TE) as shown last year too (although he just takes off and runs, which he is fairly good at). Hopefully our line looks better than Philly's did last season (because they looked like crap by the time VY got in there). I think he might be as talented a QB as any we have had in a Bill's uni in a long long time BUT (and my favorite kind of BUTS are big ones) he has got to stop the bad performances combined with the crazy bobble headed crap (he might be just plain loony let's face it, we just don't know. If I was interviewing him I would include a really long talk with a professional and get a profile for the guy). So in conclusion: from what I saw last and the year before??? I would rather Dennis Dixon as well, who I know with out doubt is a level headed back up and has shown results of his own.
  4. There is no afterlife, sorry for your loss. Ralph is a Mayan, now it all makes sense.
  5. Under contract with the CFL means they couldn't if they did want to, if I remember correctly.
  6. Since corners are 1. better when they are still fast and youngish 2. cost a lot if they are great. 3. A weakness in the making(before the draft). 4."you can't have enough of them", I like the pick, they got their OT in the 2nd and even added depth @ OL later. The mid to end of the draft was great (big fan of Tank, love a kid with a great football name). The kicker well a KO specialist, that is using the FO's head. Good stratigy
  7. I agree with you John, with the two backs we have and the size of the line and Chan's love of putting it on Fitz (who I do think is good BTW) we totally passed to early and often and Hopeful made a lot of good points in this thread too. Chan said he wanted to run more after some of those games and the season, I want to buy it. I hope he changes and finds a way to truly put the ball in both of our backs hands this year. I want them on the field together too. We have more talent in our backfield than in our wideouts. That is how this issue should be decided, rely on the most talented playmakers. It is not that hard of a concept. One part of the game can open up the other (it really doesn't matter which). I think you need to use whatever is the stronger against your particular opposition. I don't think Chan always did that and he definitively didn't adjust well when the talent got injured. There were games when we would go up by 14 and when the other team got it back to 7 and Chan went to pass, pass, pass. I do give them some credit they did finish 14th rated O in the league and it was much more exciting. It just could have been better.
  8. Where did you hear that? and nice screen name.
  9. Chan really does need to get this team running the ball more. He said they would have if they could have last year, I sort of wonder if it is true. He really seems so in love with the passing game making the QB the hero, basically a college philosophy to win in the big league, maybe he is right and it will work but this year we need both our backs on the field at the same time. He needs to be better at making changes during the season. It was kind of a cop out IMO that they didn't get to work on it in preseason stuff we heard, last year. We have a D that has the potential to win games on it's own. Or at least win close games with out having to comeback. The question is can we blow some people out and be stout against run teams (I think the draft will help that but may take development time). There is talent now. Chan may be facing a test. He kind of is in my book, anyway. Al that said I don't like Marty as a coach (I did like him as a player and do respect him as a coach) the man's teams are boring (og poster said it, run run pass punt, how much does that sound like Dicky ball?) and can't win the big playoff games. He has no rings. 5-13 W-L in playoffs, 0 SB won. Next. IMO Chan gets 2 years to get us a division title, winning record this year. I am not 100% sold on him doing so. I like him though so I hope he can find ways to get his team there. No winning record this year, Chan is either on a short leash or gone. And the guy who takes over is not Marty, he is already our D coordinator, no reason to look further than that (unless the D really blows even with all the money and changes this year, could happen. Don't think it will we are not Phily after all, but it could).
  10. I thought they wanted Wilson and thought he would drop to the 4th, I would have taken him with one of the 4ths. I think they did want a bigger WR and would have gone for one but I kind of like the guy they got. I love the draft even the KO specialist makes sense to me. I like what I have read about Corp, we still have a little space am interested in the rest of the UDFAs and if we make anymore moves in the FA market. This offseason, I think we built better than since the late 80s, I am excited. Go Bills!
  11. I think he meant UDFA and the did get Corp.
  12. Just saw this and thought I would post it. The Bilicheat had an interesting draft philosophy. 2 first round trade ups (I wish Hightower would have fallen but anyways) then a super big reach (and we thought Nix was crazy with our 3rd rounder) and a pretty no name guy next, all defense. Then they were all but done except for a 6th and 2 7ths (and one of these picks was arrested not long ago). I love that we had a better draft and offseason so far. Last year I thought we don't really have to improve THAT much to be a better team than them and well, they did make it to the Superbowl. This is the list of the Patriots draft picks going into the 2012 NFL Draft: Updated: April 28th, 2012 1st Round (Pick 21) Chandler Jones (DE, Syracuse) 1st Round (Pick 25) Dont’a Hightower (LB, Alabama) 2nd Round (Pick 48) Tavon Wilson (S, Illinois) 3rd Round (Pick 90) Jake Bequette (DE, Arkansas) 6th Round (Pick 197) Nate Ebner (DB, Ohio State) 7th Round (Pick 224) Alfonzo Dennard (CB, Nebraska) 7th Round (Pick 235) Jeremy Ebert (WR, Northwestern) Picks traded away: 2nd Round – (GB – Trade Down) 3rd Round – (CIN – Trade Up) 4th Round – (DEN – Trade Up) 5th Round – (GB – Trade Down) 7th Round – (KC – Jarrad Page) 7th Round – (via PHI, to MIN – Randy Moss) 6th Round – (PHI – Tracy White) 5th Round – (CIN – Chad Ochocinco) http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/01/2012-patriots-draft-picks.html
  13. Beck (the rock star) is a really nice guy, I met him a couple of times when I lived in NYC. His girl was hot too (back then) so the part of hetro-challenged, I am not so sure about. I think he is just David Bowie-ing for fame and fortune. I like his music too.
  14. Good teams drafts sometimes have room for kickers. This is a depth draft, I hope we are that good now. The FO thinks so. I like the whole draft at this point. Should be an interesting camp. Go Bills!!
  15. Wow, I actually agree with with you (and for the most part I never do but I like you anyway). I will be so stoked if that happens, but I still don't see it happening.
  16. glad this was pinned, so sick of the draft.
  17. Huh? stoned? you do know he was a DE in college and in the 5 games I watched him in last year, he did really well setting (which was a weakness in his game, during his best days in SD) the edge on runs and was doubled almost every pass play. He as far as I saw and remember didn't line up outside the TE by much if at all . I kinda think people like saying "wide nine" it is not really even used much except by Philly and I saw it in the Denver game (and the jests with Maybin but that is actually different).
  18. You know the OP is right, we don't know WTH this guy does for RW's money, lets put up a billboard and get rid of him.
  19. So all the solid OL pick ups which stacked talent at positions that we didn't even have to draft, Nix get no credit for? The guys will get better as they play together more too, remember a few years ago all we talked about on this board at times was the Oline gelling, now we have some players who are decent and getting time together, that isn't and improvement (and our Oline coach is doing a great job for a change)? The "journey man" TE who had one of the best seasons of any TE (who was a crafty Nix steal BTW) on this team in years..... sure we should get better there but really no credit for that? The D has stunk, I still think they will add to it high in the draft. The O was average or better statistically over the years before even with a boatload of injuries. I am quite sure they will improve talent in the draft and some guys will just get better this year. A good or great D will only make the O better.
  20. I bet you made a thread about Hardy over Steve a few of years ago too, didn't ya?
  21. yes I would. BN and mularky not too sure about.
  22. If he falls someone will move up, who and how high is the only real question. And he won't get past 10, the heading should be fixed
