I like Coach Sal on WGR55 Postgame
bills1960 replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I turn on Dope and the Bulldog right after the game and the first thing I hear one of those clowns say was "I've never thought KC was a good team...". They just want to be right about their negativity all the time. Make coach Sal the #1 football man on that station. -
Wow, love the confidence. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this team will be 8-8. With what they've gained with their improved defense, they're still going to be held back by an Offense that cannot possibly be that much improved from last year. That being said the offense wasn't horrible last year, but then again they did finish 4-12. That's my two cents.

Buffalo 21 KC 27 -
Bills 50 Falcons 0. Seriously, Ravens 24 Falcons 17

They should give it to Freddie. Show him that they do appreciate his services.

I hear you. But say the Bengals do have the first overall pick and they intend on starting Dalton next year. With the new rookie wage scale, I would guess that the number one overall pick would be easier to trade because teams would no longer have to worry about the huge signing bonus in addition to the amount they gave up to trade into the first spot. I could definitely see the Bengals shopping the pick around, imagine how much the could get for it. Possibly two first round picks? maybe more?
-
The Bengals are very high on Dalton. I understand the trend in the past decade or so has been the team with the number one overall pick must take a QB because the league is more passer friendly then ever. I get that. But if Dalton can show even the slightest glimpse of potential, why not hold onto him? Luck is a once in a lifetime player, but there will be highly touted players from other positions that will be pushing into the top 5 (Coples, Kalil, Blackmon). They just spent a high second round pick on Dalton, if he proves he has a future as a starting QB, why waste your vital 2012 first round pick on a position you're not necessarily missing?

Perfectly done. WGR can flash around their ratings all they want but the truth is that they have no competition whatsoever. Driving home there's only one option for Buffalo sports talk. Let's hope a guy like Sal Capaccio can one day talk over for that clown.

Why would losing be a set up for a sale? I also love how they're speaking for the whole fan base when they say we've given up. That's nice, because I haven't, and I know many people on this board haven't. This team was 4-12 last year and the first 3 home games have already sold out. So yeah, looks like we've finally given in (sarcasm).

Dareus new home jersey. Not only is the jersey itself nice, but it has a great player and an awesome number on it.

If Palko is the starter, load the box. Don't let Charles/Taylor beat you. If KC wants to win, palko is going to have to do it. Bring constant pressure, hope that our secondary is a solid as our coaching staff says it is. Bring no less than 5 defenders on each play, regardless of the situation.

I feel I need to say this.....
bills1960 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I would never wish injuries upon anyone to begin with plus it would be a questionable win if he didn't play. Let' beat a team straight up, no excuses, just a plain old win. -
Never want to wish injury on anyone but that would be key. The pressure we're capable of bringing against an inexperienced Stanzi or Palko could be deadly.

Andrew Luck Sweepstakes
bills1960 replied to altruisticbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First of all, the chances of us getting the number one pick are slim to say the least. Luck is a special player, but there is no player worth blowing a season for in the sport of football. Maybe in Basketball where one player can dominate the game, but not football where there's 22 starters on each team. Second of all, with such a deep QB class coming up, there's no reason to even consider blowing games. If anyone here watched the first half of the USC game, you saw Matt Barkley show why he could, by the end of the season, be compared to Luck in terms of his pro readiness. Not Landry Jones, Nick Foles, Ryan Lindley, Ryan Tannehill are all considered to be top tier pro prospects. I'd kill to have Luck, but there's no reason to believe that the Bills have a shot at him. -
More Cuts per T. Graham
bills1960 replied to BillsFanThru-N-Thru's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would they release Coalman unless they like Robert Eddins better? -
Don't like matt cassell Merriman, 'lights out', get him. revenge from last year.
-
There's absolutely no way Easley will get cut.
-
We know what we're getting with Dareus. Williams definitely hit a learning curve, but has made some great, athletic plays. Sheppard, hard to tell but looked very solid tonight. Searcy seems like a good special teamer coverage guy, yet to really show anything on defense. Hairston looked great in limited action. We'll see how he'll develop. White has shown flashes, but whether it's his fault or not he hasn't been able to pull any great plays. Probably because of the second team O Line, but still the truth. Rodgers looks too small, he'll be cut. Jasper has no mobility or push, won't make the team, maybe practice squad.

Is this Fitzpatricks last season here?
bills1960 replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly believe that no matter what happens this year they'll be looking for his replacement with the first pick (which at this point I'd guess would be around the 10-13th overall pick). So if Fitz doesn't want to sign a backup level contract it may very well be. -
I wasn't particularly upset with the first team O. Fitz had time to throw and although he missed some passes and there were some drops mixed in, wasn't it our main concern three weeks ago that our line could not block for their lives? They've look manageable in the past two games. We saw what Fitz could do last year with a little time, and Stevie for that matter.
-
Yeah Thigpen and the second stringers not looking good at all. If some WRs decided to catch the ball a little more that half may have ended a little differently.
-
My god that guy had promise up until that hit. Frustrating to be honest.

Bring him back! I heard he's a big Bills fan.
