  1. You can tell that the ref realized how stupid he sounded as he made the call.
  2. Ya, good move Gailey. Let's force our best receiver since Andre Reed out of town because he likes scoring TDs.
  3. It's definitely both. It can't be a coincidence that the sacks went down drastically last year when Fitz stepped in week 3. He gets the ball out quick. But credit has to be given to the job Joe D'Alessandris has done as O-Line coach and the performances given by Hairston, Pears and Urbik from week 1. It also helps that there is undeniable depth and versatility on our line as well. Rinehart has stepped in a played on a starting level, Urbik moved to center and did a bang up job. Levitre had to learn 3 different positions. I think it's safe to say that after years of ineptitude the Bills finally have an offensive line that doesn't need drastic change going into the offseason.
  4. Compared to prior years, yes. But it is not the rate you'd hope for for a team heading into it's third offseason with a GM/coach combo. I think most people will agree that last year's draft was much better than 2010. We rung the bell with Dareus, Williams looks to be an asset that can only get better with age. Sheppard has shown flashes. They may have also found a solid, starting caliber LT in Hairston. But that being said, I'm still not sure that this team is one more good draft away from a playoff spot. They need at least 2 more legitimate pass rushers, (regardless of what scheme they're in next year). For the 15th (16th?) season in a row, we still have a QB question. We need to resign Stevie and we could definitely use a #2 WR (preferably a slot receiver). Some more depth at CB and in the run defense. I just don't know whether Nix can fill all these holes through his draft only philosophy.
  5. He's just not good. It's definitely an indictment on him that Gailey would rather dress Kamar Aiken and Derek Hagan over him.
  6. From day one Nix stressed the importance of good drafting and making sure that you retain those who have proven to be a starter on this team. Not resigning him goes against his most basic ideology as a GM. If you're not going to be active in Free Agency, then you have to make this deal. 7.5 million is a total bargain for a guy with Johnson's abilities. Not to mention he's a team leader and, unlike many other former Bills, actually enjoys living in the city of Buffalo.
  7. Stevie's asking price: http://wgr550.com/Source--Stevie-Johnson-s-Asking-Price-to-Bills---7/11853952 Sounds VERY reasonable to me.
  8. A lot of the guys listed are pipe dreams. Just get me some more beef in the front seven please. Avril from the Lions?
  9. The guy hasn't played a down in the NFL.
  10. I keep hearing "patience" from both the Bills and Sabres. The truth is it's a lack of accountability from both sides.
  11. Several more years???!!!! Are you kidding me! it takes more than 3 years to take a team that was 6-10 under Jauron and make them win four more games? Patience my ass! It's been 12 years!
  12. Like many of you, I don't like the guy or his brother or his family in general. But I'll take anyone who would come in here, change the atmosphere, give me a legitimate NFL defense and give us some swag. I'm tired of Gailey's cute and inconsistent offense. It's no better than jauron's system, or anyone before him. Time to get a hard ass in here. If it's not Ryan, fine.
  13. Obivously pending Gailey's firing: Dream hiring: -Fisher -Gruden -Billick -Reid (pending his firing)
  14. -Jets -Dolphins -Cowboys -Giants
  15. Hey Ralph, either you chose a really bad time to tell us this or you just liking screwing with us. Gosh I hate this guy more and more everyday.
  16. I think Dareus played tremendously this year, especially because he was out of position. He is built for a 4-3. His numbers and productivity would sky rocket if we switch next year.
  17. Im not going to lie, I saw some value out of several class of 2011 members. Dareus has already proven that he's a staple in our defense, and that sack yesterday reinforced that. I also though Williams and Sheppard had one of their best games as well. Sheppard might not seem like a very good player to compliment after yesterday's porous run defense, but he made a ton of plays, including at least two TFLs. And then there's Rogers, who has definitely earned a nickel CB spot and showed some serious jets in the return game yesterday. Bad effort overall from the boys yesterday, but I did like some of the things I saw from the rooks. Give them credit, the defense may terrible right now, but you can't expect a 3rd round pick to be player much better than he is right now, (Sheppard).
  18. This is just an indictment on Edward's coordinating skills. If I were a betting man rooting for a different team, I'd put my house down on the fact that he'll be fired this off season. But history for the Bills in recent years doesn't make me feel to sure.
  19. I heard a rumor he was in a commercial for Ugg boots, oh wait...
  20. I'm sick of hearing the term rebuilding year. How much better is this team from last year? two years ago? three years ago? 12 years ago? It's just one big excuse covering the a** of a horrible franchise. Arguably the worst in professional sports.
  21. I'm saying it now this team will be in a 4-3 by opening week next year. Edwards is going to get fired. He has to be. Somebody needs to get the ax for this ineptitude. You build based on the best guys you have already. I'm pretty confident Williams and Dareus on the inside would be a deadly combo. Build from there. Draft a 4-3 DE in the first and a sam/will backer in the second or vice versa. Barnett to the mike. Kelsay back to DE for the time being. Sign another CB. Boom.
  22. It seems to me that this guy is better fit for a 4-3 Weak side LB? Which sounds good to me. Despite two years in the system, we're STILL better fit for a 4-3. Williams and Dareus in the interior? That sounds good to me. If Upshaw is there, take him and put him a WIll. Make Barnett the Mike (not sure if he's ever played in a 4-3 but I'm sure he can make the adjustment). That sounds a lot better to me.
  23. Face it, we won't be able to get him. Even if we lose out, we're not drafting lower than 5 and even that is a stretch. Blackmon goes top 5 easily.
  24. Not worried about the NFL. I'm worried about the fan base of the Buffalo Bills in particular.
  25. Are you serious? You're telling me you have seen no difference between the Pegula sabres and the Quinn/Golisano sabres? Yeah, their play through one quarter of the season hasn't been awesome but they'll significantly better than last year. The arena renovations mean nothing? The fact that we're willing and able to throw money around whenever we want means nothing? Please. It's all about the ownership. This team won't change while Ralph is still the owner.
