  1. I like Kalil a lot, but if it means we have to give up our second round pick then no. If we go OT in the first, we really have to go WR in the second by taking a guy like Sanu or Reuben. You need to at least have the option of taking a WR in the second. Trading up would most likely disallow that.
  2. I'm worried Jacksonville or Miami will snag him before we can get to him. Those are some pretty weak receiving cored right there. But they idea of him and Stevie wrecking havoc on secondaries is very exciting.
  3. Yeah, from what I've read (mostly draft magazines), Martin is soft compared to Reiff. If the plan is LT, it should be Reiff or nothing.
  4. I say if he is what some say he is, you do it. We don't want to look back in 5 years and regret choosing Sheppard over an Urlacher type player.
  5. This is an interesting thread. I would have to agree, the safest bet would be at Houston, but you never know with the NFL. Who would have guessed that we were going to host the Browns on MNF a few years ago? I'd also love to get Miami on primetime. When was the last time that happened? It would be like reverting back to the Kelly vs. Marino days. But I'd also just like to kill Miami on national TV.
  6. I love this resigning. Scott is one of the most undervalued Bills on the team. Extremely versatile, built like a LB but moves like a S.
  7. Sorry, meant strong side. Not a huge fan of the idea of Kirk Morrison there.
  8. As long as we don't break the bank for this guy I'm all for it. I don't think there's any doubt that Anderson has the skill set and size to be a pass rushing specialist. But I really don't like the numbers he has put up in seasons other than lat year and his rookie year.
  9. If you go on buffalobills.com chris brown posted a picture of Anderson outside the same restaurant Williams was at. Either Wanny is in love with that restaurant or there really aren't any fancy restaurants in Buffalo.
  10. This is a strange development for sure. Nix said he was done with FA, obviously that was a smokescreen. I also find it odd that he would fill a spot that we already addressed. Yes, he would be a major improvement over Kelsay, but I would think WLB is more of a priority. Whatever, I like it. At the least it adds some depth for our pass rush.
  11. I beg to differ. I think it would be an honor for both Williams and Bruce. It's like saying hey, you were out best defensive player ever, now your number serves as an emblem of success.
  12. This goes against two things the Bills have always stood for: 1. Paying two guys at the same position starting money. 2. Trading up.
  13. I think it narrows it down to 4 players: Reilly Reiff, Jonathon Martin, Micheal Floyd or Courtney Upshaw. I think Upshaw might still be the leader, being that there's still a major question mark at the other OLB spot.
  14. Love his passion. Been a fan of his since guys on this board were posting links to his Justin.tv show a few years ago. Very impassioned. Loved the show tonight in particular, he sounded so pumped, saying things like "get over it NFL, Buffalo finally got there guy" which is exactly what we're all thinking right now.
  15. can we please make this 300 pages long?
  16. Please! I'm just doing my part to contribute to the madness! Mar-i-o! Mar-io!
  17. This Russert's Mom thing is BS. 1. Luke said his mom heard from a witness. It wasn't even her. 2. Williams is a profession that needs to maintain a good reputation. He understands that every media outlet has already reported he's staying. Do you think he's going to pull something like that? Absolutely not. He will be at 1 Bills Drive tomorrow, whether he signs or not. Believe it or not, the business of sports is not that classless (with the exception of the Baltimore Colts of course).
  18. That is the exact reasoning Ralph Wilson has used since 1960. "We were never supposed to get him anyway."
  19. He's not going to dip on them like that. At least any athlete with the slightest bit of class wouldn't do that.
  20. That's what common sense would say. Who in their right mind would spend 48 hours with a team, including almost 12 hours at the team head quarters, spend another night and then decided to sign some where else?
  21. This is pissing me off so much. We don't know for sure about anything at this point. Now that Meachum is gone, that Buscaglia report is now void. The Bills may "expect to sign Williams" but we don't even know who else is out there because nobody knows anything!
  22. In the words of Buddy, show me the baby.
  23. Oh no you didn't...
