Why play the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl or even have the exhibition at all? There are now 14 “new” “Pro Bowlers” because of the missing Super Bowl team members.

Whether the Bills go up for auction or RW lives forever, the stadium is going on 40 years old. What happens when the Bills demand and don’t receive huge taxpayer assistance to maintain/renovate/rebuild when the stadium lease expires?

It is great that the Bills appear to be saying that they need to get better football people, but just as important as taking the step to clean house is the ability to replace the staff with quality people. Since other teams are doing the same thing, it will be interesting to see if the net result of of the Nix regime is an improvement or not.

You are right probably about that, but I have to wonder what the interest is in reading this thread (like I did) - and then thought that it must be like seeing one of your fellow commuters crashed into a tree on the side of the road - where you might slow down and look to see how bad it is. Yes, the Bills have been better, they haven't been to the playoffs in a decade and did not hire Bill Cowher. But the Bills are still here in WNY and it is better to have lived and lost in the last ten years than never to have lived having a NFL team in Buffalo at all. Rome wasn't built in a day - but hopefully it won't be another 10 years before we get back into the playoffs because going to a home playoff game is a great experience and is probably why there are so many die-hard fans today.

8&8, just making a general statement, not just specific to "rock stars", but my point is there are more than a couple nice natural resources in WNY. Sure, there are more bars and night life elsewhere, but you already knew that.

Yeah, internet tickets are a lot easier to come by once the winter weather arrives...and home tickets are priced at what the area can support, just like the tickets in Toronto or any other place are priced at what the market will bear...its all about the math.

If you've lived anywhere else in the world, WNY is not so bad, but I guess it depends on what you view as important in your surroundings. If you like traffic and sitting in your car, any other big city might be for you, but if you like state parks and the area lakes...

The difference between the Bills and the Redskins is well over $100 million a year in revenue and growing (this article is from 2007). There has also been recent reports of NFL owners planning to alter revenue-sharing. I guess you could say money isn't everything, but is sure helps if you know how to spend it. The Bills player choices (ala the Modrak and Guy tandem) since the Donahoe era has been about as bad as Dan Synder's choices with the Redskins, but Synder has had much deeper pockets in which to recover from.
