  1. This has been getting a lot of attention and it will be interesting to see what punishment the commish orders for a "pattern of bad behavior and bad judgments". "The issue here is with respect to a pattern of behavior and bad judgments," Goodell said. "You do not have to be convicted or even charged with a crime to be able to demonstrate that you've violated a personal-conduct policy, and reflect poorly not only on themselves, but all of their teammates, every NFL player in the league, and everyone associated with the NFL. That is what my concern is, and I have expressed that directly to Ben..." Update: Nice, the town where the alleged incident occurred is now a tourist stop (story includes photo of Ben with appropriate t-shirt).
  2. Is Detroit interested? I am sure the Bills would not mind picking up Detroit's 2nd round (34th overall) pick.
  3. Almost like Trent Edwards?
  4. It might be a big gamble for S.F. to wait for Spiller and I am not saying Lynch would be a perfect fit for them, but Gore has had some durability issues - so this deal is doable for both sides. Seattle has been rumored to have an interest in Lynch and the Bills have been rumored to want at least a round two pick for him, but OBD would likely want S.F.'s number 17 pick over Seattle's 28th in round two.
  5. Right, the dynamic will be who is left on their board and just how much they would like to move Lynch - which might be good after decreased playing time and off-field issues like the hit and run, gun charges and stealing money at TGI Fridays?
  6. Both would be good and we might not miss Lynch as much as the Seahawks would welcome him. The Bills want to rebuild via the draft - right? What better way than have three 2nd round picks (and in the process release the police blotter RB - that at the end of last season was hardly on the field)?
  7. If the Bills are interested in a second round pick for Marshawn Lynch One possibility: The Bills trade down 4 spots with San Francisco to the number 13 spot– plus give up Marshawn Lynch for San Francisco’s second round pick. The Bills could still hope to take Trent Williams or Anthony Davis in the first and would gain the 17th pick in the second round – saying goodbye to Lynch. San Francisco would then have the 9th and 17th overall picks in 2010. Another chance? Seattle seems to be in the mix for Lynch and the Bills might look at trading for their second round pick, but Seattle’s second rounder isn’t until pick 28 - which is a lot closer to being a third round pick than the 49er’s solid number 17. Here is a link for this year's draft order for each team - as it stands right now…
  8. Fred Jackson is more of a shifting RB than a 'water-bug' but unless something happen to Lynch, I do not see the Bills going after a RB this year.
  9. That seems like a good change if you don't mind waiting in line and have your ipad with you.
  10. Hopefully, the Bills know who they have and who they need by now or they should have just kept the DJ crew.
  11. right, the difference might be that Campbell has just been replaced and the skins know who their QB is. We on the other hand are continuing our extended period of not knowing who our starting QB is - which will most likely continue into the season.
  12. The bottom line is that the dude has a history of suspected boorish behavior - at the least (see civil case in Vegas) and BR probably needs to be a model citizen from the commish point of view. Not sure, but locking underage drunk girls in a bathroom so you can get your rocks off really does not seem to be what the commish might have in mind.
  13. And with the 11th pick in the draft, wasn't Maybin the Schobel replacement pick made last year?
  14. The Bills board (hopefully) reads: OT DT LB DE If we don't go OT first, it won't matter who is at QB. Then there is the matter of being near last against the run and the inability to rush the passer...
  15. It would be great to see the Bills either move up or down - depending on how many OTs get taken in the early rounds. Seattle with two first rounders might be interested.
  16. Gailey hopefully sees that there are more pressing needs and builds depth on the line of scrimmage before adding gadget players...
  17. Hope springs eternal - right? The reality is near last in the league in many areas = much improvement needed in many areas. yep, it is that simple and one thing is for sure...the other teams in the AFC will not be sitting on their hands.
  18. We will have to wait for the TV movie or tell-all book to come out before we find out what really happened or there could be another civil case made against him like the one in Vegas. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/07/21/ben-roe...ok-at-the-lega/
  19. oh...so it was the intoxicated girl that thwarted Big Ben's body guards and locked him in the bathroom against his will? Why didn't anyone rush in to help poor Ben (the 6'5" 240 lb victim)?
  20. You are right, that is a lot of miles...and the sense is that when a RB reaches age 30 (plus all the miles), they start to slow down.
  21. Some thought Thomas Jones was washed up before last year and look what he did. Yeah, okay, LT is not in his prime, but he was dinged up last year and probably has enough in his tank to take on the nearly always last against the run Buffalo Bills - especially with the Jets solid OL. What is our answer? John McCargo? LOL.
  22. seems like we have been saying "wait for next fall" (to be better) for a very long time.
  23. Maybe there is a place in the Raider's organization or if that can't happen, maybe he will end up in the CFL or Arena league.
  24. Peters was signed as a TE and it wasn't until he was traded that Walker was moved to LT. Jennings could never stay healthy but it will be a real surprise if the OL is not addressed.
  25. Roethlisberger at the very least, has appeared to have used bad judgment. While a suspension might not be warranted, the team might want to consider some sort of internal action such as a team probation period - based on his involvement with a minor. His statement was: "I'm truly sorry for the disappointment and negative attention I brought to my family, my teammates, coaches, the Rooneys and the NFL." Roethlisberger Statement
