  1. Try taking the night boat to cairo:
  2. Thurman, the next time you want to write a post to me, extend both of your thumbs and sit on them, that way we can both be happy.
  3. Where in the Middle East? My first reaction would be to go. A dear family friend of mine spends a third of his time in sales there. I suppose you learn what not to say and do, but normally a host family or company will make arrangements to ensure the safety and comfort of business travelers.
  4. I think law enforcement would be able to shut this down very easily if they wanted to.
  5. Kelsay is totally fooled by every form of offensive trickery. He is a physically talented guy, but unless they use him exclusively as a rush end we are screwed. I think he is the weakest link on the defense. If Schobel wanted to play, he would obviously be much better than Kelsay at this position. I am surprised nobody else than Ellis and Batten are competing for the position. They wont start a rookie there until Kelsay gets benched, so in week 3 look for a change.
  6. Promo the Robot posted the vegas odds: http://www2.vegas.com/gaming/futures/ I would bet against dallas, considering these odds.
  7. So we know mpl, thurman, and buffalokie are the same person. Who else wants to own up to trollhood?
  8. I fart in the general direction of those rankings.
  9. I cant believe I made it out of my twenties, especially out of jail. I dont think I would be so lucky after ten more years of that. Hundreds (at least) of drunk drives, wanton hard drug abuse, dealing drugs, driving well over 100 mph, football, rugby, fights, whitewater kayaking, all kinds of things like that. Just give me a rocking chair on the front porch these days. I once found myself squatting in a bush in a drugged out haze and realized I had been there for a couple hours and it was 20 degrees out and I was wearing a t shirt. Good thing I was drunk and in great shape, or I would have frozen to death.
  10. This was already covered in the other thread. This smacks of trolling to me.
  11. Honestly when youre old enough that you cant get it up, you cant really have a huge sex drive to satisfy, why should you take a pill to? Just move on. I will always remember being in the thin walled room next to my friend on Viagra and ecstasy at a rub and tug and hearing my friend grunting and a woman saying "I didn't say you could do that! I have kids!" and start crying. I understand viagra helps with altitude sickness.
  12. Yeah, I couldn't have helped any of my friends who were addicted. Its a cliche, but when you are addicted to drugs you cant see that they are your problem. Especially since when you quit, things get worse in a hurry.
  13. Her response surprised me. I would not have imagined she would be so shocked.
  14. One of my friends just died of a drug overdose. 30-40% of my youth and college friends have died, been to rehab or jail, and when I got to know them they were all sober. I wish I had never seen a drug. We tend to glorify drugs and talk about how fun they are I am guilty of that, too. I partied for a decade, and honestly it was the wrong decision. Drugs arent even close to being worth it when you think about how much trouble they cause in this world. We were track stars together, running backs, friends since second grade. Drugs didnt have anything to do with what was important to us. For it to end like this-- I'm out of words. I'm not even looking for sympathy. Im just saying dont let your friends do the same thing.
  15. That stat says a lot, good job. We lost because our small players couldnt hold up against the run and we couldnt pound the ball. Fewer injuries at linebacker and a deeper defensive line might have made the difference, as well as bigger players. I think the main reason was coaching. We did not play a run-stopping defense when other teams ran. The Giants put in two extra tackles and finished the game with 13 runs in a row against us and won the game. After 11 straight runs, Jauron finally changed the base 4-3 and put in an extra lineman. Lining up Donte Whitner in front of an offensive tackle is pure insanity. Jauron was stubborn, doctrinal, and totally inept in some ways, but that statistic, 14 out of 16 games, shows he did a lot of things right. I dont think it would have been too much to expect for a GM to step in and address a problem a coach isnt, when the problem has persisted for so long and is so obvious. Teams coached by Bill Cowher and Joe Gibbs were 150-0 when going into the fourth quarter with a lead and more than 100 rushing yards.
  16. So far as blues are concerned, Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials. He played a tiny club and we got to talk to the band before and after. Big Daddy Kane was my favorite concert.
  17. I thought Gailey did a poor job with the offense at georgia tech. It seemed to me he was asking college players to run a pro-style offense. But for now, I will pretend Gailey is the answer to all of our prayers until he screws up.
  18. I saw Milli Vanilli in 1991. I was just a kid, and it was still dumb.
  19. Yeah, I take the bait every time too.
  20. Rob is a great guy. Mpl deserves to be eaten from the inside by parasites.
  21. Whatever, you bleeding drama queen.
