  1. It's more going to be because of the owner imo
  2. I don't get it either...I was actually annoyed at first, but more so because of the commercials and the add placement... it's not something that's a big deal to me anymore personally, they show people's families in the stands all the time when something good happens, shoot they showed Giselle all the time and she was probably more popular than Taylor Swift and people didn't have this reaction. The answer to your question is you're probably on a different algorithm from the one that is causing people to have that type of visceral reaction. There are people who say they view her as a political threat, but really I think they are just trying to capitalize on her popularity as well and use her popularity to amplify their message to a broader audience by driving increased engagement numbers...it's all a grift and it's just grifting to the next thing that can be used to amplify that grift by getting people all amped up about something else that they didn't care about last week and didn't realize they cared about today until they started getting blasted with it on the social media dopamine phone crack dispenser.
  3. The biggest takeaway for me is they are going to be trying to do short term solutions to try and save their jobs. I think Saleh is probably a good coach and hoping for his own sake he learns from this and does a better job blocking outside stuff out going forward (my guess is a bunch of us would get caught up in that stuff as well in his position the first time we face it). That said, I think they probably should have made a coaching switch only because the second most dangerous thing is a coach making short term moves to try and save their job, and the most dangerous is a gm doing that.
  4. I'm worried about someone getting hurt in that flag football game... at least it's not on sand I guess, but flag football definitely can get physical and they're probably going to actually try
  5. What on earth are you talking about?! He had a bit over 1,100 yards rushing and like 450 receiving...I'll help you do the math quick... 1,100 + 450 = 1,550 1,550 ÷ 17 = over 91 yards a game Teams were absolutely game planning for him, one of the opposing coaches called him the best Bills rb since Thurman Thomas. I'm just confused by this take, it's really confusing and just ignores reality.
  6. Why do you say that about Cook? Can you back it up at all?
  7. You actually think the nfl is liberal?! Omg, who the heck is telling you that jiberish?
  8. I do think with the rotation, sack rate as a function of pass rush situations is probably more important than just looking at sack count. Or maybe total team sacks, or total pressures in clutch pass situations.
  9. That's freaking embarrassing... Bills fans also destroyed McKelvin's lawn after his fumble
  10. Here's to hoping that Shorter is a huge revelation next year. People who scouted him in high school and college said his college wr coaching was really bad and with really good nfl coaching he could be a huge steal, but it would take a year...here's hoping that's true.
  11. Losman was actually really solid in franchise mode in Madden 06 or whatever after a few seasons fwiw
  12. I'm not sure those broken play scrambles to the right aren't actually by design...he leaves the pocket awfully early sometimes and has receivers coming open when he does
  13. LeBron in year six of his career then?
  14. The money grab is the lack of adequate rapid public transportation and the building codes and ordances that require a certain number of parking spots per new construction and the highway system. Bunch of stuff on YouTube about it.
  15. Not necessarily true
  16. I thought it was a fake slide initially, but then on the last replay they showed, it looked like he hesitated, but his head never went back and his hips didn't tilt or anything... I'll watch it again, but like I said I genuinely was ready to say I thought he was fake sliding and that it's cheap, but I think all he did was pause.
  17. You do understand why the government would have a hard time preventing people from protesting though right?
  18. Wonder if playing a game without fans is an option?
  19. Oh screw getting cold for practice...I remember practicing lacrosse in high school in March in the cold in Rochester and I got slashed on the wrist and I actually felt it, lol...in a game it wouldn't have even registered. Just a totally different mindset in terms of needing to deal with adversity in practice...you're working on specific things, not proving to the world you're tough (now if he was towards the bottom of the roster, that's different)...they'll see just how tough you are in the game and there's no one tougher than JA.
  20. Why, it's a valid question and a valid thread imo
  21. So they start dating, she falls deeply in love and you want her to ask him to stop the only dream he's likely ever had that like .001% of the population (if that) even has a chance of achieving?! Your dairy farmer analogy isn't a good one (I do appreciate sharing a personal story)...basically anyone can become a dairy farmer if they wanted to and can find a comparable job if they choose to do something different.
  22. There is a pretty decent chance her husband is going to have significant medical and potentially psychological issues after his is done playing and she is going to have to be his primary caretaker way way younger in life than if he wasn't playing football, while potentially largely raising a child by herself. You have no idea if she actually wants to have this life or if she preferred to just have him be a normal person doing a normal job. You're equating money with happiness and frankly you're doing the exact thing she is literally calling out. You don't know her, you are being judgey and doing the exact thing you are essentially accusing her of doing.
  23. That's what I'm saying though, they obviously think he has enough athleticism to be out there or they wouldn't be playing him...my point is let's assume they are playing him because he is showing at least the athletic floor required to play the position, so why isn't he playing at least a little bit ok?
  24. I'm curious if this shows Miller was relying on his athletic ability and not enough on his technical skill set...or maybe everything was based on his ability to get bend and he never developed a more nuanced technical fundamental set of rush moves. It's really the only thing that makes sense...obviously they had to have seen Miller wasn't able to do the same from an athletic perspective, like elite hall of fame level athleticism, but they had to have figured he was going to be able to rely on the technical part of his game to still be impactful, but why hasn't he? Like Beane and McD aren't morons, as much as people might have issues with them, they are pro level talent evaluators maybe one or two people on this board are even close to the same range in terms of player evaluation... there has to be a reason they keep playing him...what is that reason and it's not that because they're morons, just please for the sake of respect for me typing this all out on a phone, please brainstorm a reason that isnt that to help further the discussion (though I fully support trolling me with "because they're morons moron" lol)
  25. Omg, why did it post like 5 times?! Gonna edit this quick, not my intention
