Bills interested in DT John Henderson
spartacus replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Russ Brandon is a genius To offset every boneheaded move they make, they immediately divert attention by floating false hope of the next big signing and of course the lemmings fall all over it keep buying those tickets Super Bowl baby!! -
the most I saw substantiated was their open and only disclosed offer - $7.5 mil / yr any higher number is just a fabrication from the Brandson spin machine

How do YOU grade Buffalo's off-season, thus far?
spartacus replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
probably because as bad as you think he may have been, what he was replaced with has been worse and the LB corp is worse same is true for most of the player cuts made by the front office. -
Clayton says Bills likely not done dealing

then maybe we should run a few of those plays for him -

that's right after the draft, we will have a whole flock of new names and we can pencil in some 6th and 7th rounder as starters and future hall of famers and all of the problems are solved good thing we have a spin doctor as our GM!! get those season tickets!!! super Bowl baby!!! -
Dominic Rhodes signed for 2 years

His body is shot anyone wonder why he has bounced around the league for the last few years?? -
Did anyone here likes the O-line from last season??

can't understand why he would want to leave a perennial playoff team with a crackerjack front office positioning the team for a Super Bowl run. just look at the expert handling of the Fred JAckson situation and who wouldn't be impressed with trading the league leading punt returner for a 5th round pick If he stayed in Buffalo, he would have easily gotten a deal similar to Philly - right after he showed up for 2 more years and proved he was worth it -

what is your official title in the Bills front office? it is impossible for any fan to support the idiotic moves of this team to the level you do, unless they are being compensated for posting such drivel. thanks -

using a cheap, patchwork OL made up of castoffs and bad rookies has worked so well for the team over the last 15 years. by not spending resources on the OL, they have afforded themselves the luxury of spending numerous picks (3 #1s, 2 #2s,3,4,5) on QBs whose careers were promptly destroyed by lack of pass protection and run blocking at least the team has consistently made the playoffs I wonder if there is a corelation there -
in bizzaro Bills world, they delay with the hope of a serious injury destroys market value before the deal is done.

thank you Bills fan are facilitating the madness at OBD Stupid is as stupid does

agree with everything except about Dick. No way he gets fired in 2009 He's here for the duration- and the Bills just stamped his "get out of jail free" card with their personnel moves- 1. giving away Peters & Dockery 2. alienating Jackson 3.trading Parrish for a 5th rounder. It's tough to win in the NFL

sounds like Stew Barber is back running the Bills Successful organizations are successful because they don't treat their people like crap, just because they can tough to extend Fred when he doesn't have a contract -
-
maybe not for the rest of the league the problem is that the Bills have been unable to identify and acquire good OL since Polian left. probably because Linda Bogdan is not a very good talent evaluator. in any event, the Bills are relying on a front office who has proven to be inept at bringing in OL to magically replace 60% of the OL without using a top 10 pick or any big free agent money. wish Trent Edwards good luck - because if the DEs don't kill him, the fans will run him out of town as they cut the OL a free pass to support the front office brilliant moves this off-season.

Brandon handled this situation very well -for what he was looking to accomplish. The Bills had no interest paying more to Peters since he had an existing contract. Tey determined this last year and told Peters point blank that in janaury. From that point on, Brandon has engaged his spin doctors to paint Peters as this big malcontent and evil person who was holding the Bills hostage and destroying locker room chemistry. Funny how Peters or his agent NEVER made any demands thru the media or bad mouthed the front office of the team. The spin has all been one sided. Also funny how the players never bad mouthed Peters either. and obviously, it has been supremely effective as evidenced by the nonsense being spewed in this thread. Bell, a talent so highly thought of last year that 32 teams passed on him through 6 rounds of the draft. With minimal college experience, we will plug him in at LT in his 2nd year and magically have upgraded our OL from a 2 time Pro Bowler. Yeah right Now the Bills are onto getting rid of 2 of the 3 playmakers on the team they are screwing with Fred Jackson because they can. yeah- he is an RFA who they don't have to pay. But why act like jerks when your other RB is already suspended. They also think trading Roscoe for a 5th rounder is a good plan. Like a 5th round backup LB will be a good exchange for the league best punt returner. But the brilliant fans of this team fully support these moves which continue to gut the team of talent. Bills fans get what they deserve in supporting this front office a full decade of no playoffs with no improvement in sight.

disagree Jackson deserves more money, much more. the Bills are making it clear that they own Jackson and can (and will) force him to play for far under his market value. the signing of Rhodes pretty much was the final nail in the coffin his career is short It's in his best interest to get paid now looks like the only approach available will be to create a distraction and force the Bills to cut him loose so he can go to a team willing to pay market value. of course, the Bills will play hrdball and probably let him rot on the bench- and continue to wonder why good free agents don't sign with teh Bills
-
these comments are right on they also point out that the Bills have the fans so conditioned and brain washed to justify and even praise each and every absolutely stupid and incompetent (and criminal) action by the team. how anyone with even half a mind can think that giving away a pro bowl LT in his prime for marginal draft picks will improve the team in 2009 is completely delusional. for the last 15 years the Bills have proven time and time again that they are incapable at identifying OL talent. they have blown a high pick and wasted enormous money in free agency. Now they are magically going to replace 60% of the OL in one off-season without a top 10 pick and with no big free agent signing. not sure why the front office has a death wish - but their philosophy hasn't worked this decade at making the playoffs- now it looks unlikely they will win 6 games in 2009. can't wait till they trade the top punt returner in the league for a 5th rounder
-
Typical short-sighted, backwards way to run an organization leave your better players for last IF there is any money left Bills do the most stupid things just because they can they should have done the smart and right thing and signed Jackson in January Jackson's agent is right to call out the hypocrits at OBD who preach character but give big bucks to thugs and criminals - while letting good, clean players twist in the wind.

what good is a TE if the OC does not have a clue how to use one

Rotoworld reports that JP Losman has received no known

Even scarier is the fact that the free agent talent evaluator is even worse than Modrak and he's still here too. -
you are way too cynical. The Bills have signed TWO scrubs from other teams and our own scrub in Chambers AND we have a Hall of Fame 7th round draft pick ready to punch his ticket to Akron. Super Bowl baby
-
If Peters stays, do we still draft for the O-line??
spartacus replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is he won't can his daughter - the chief OL scout - and I use the term loosely -
He does not carry a gun forget about it he would not fit in
