  1. and all of these players were happy the prior year under the tutelage of McNally. Enter Turk (as OC) and Kugler(as OL coach) and everyone is running for the exits. couldn't be the coaching or front office hi-jinx - - must be the Flouride in the water in Buffalo
  2. in January 2008, when it mattered and when they could have easily made their best player happy, Brandon point blank told Peters to stuff it and were adamant that they were not going to give him an upgraded contract... in 2008 since he had 3 years left on his contract. if they rewarded their best player for pro bowl performance at this time, there would not have been a hold out. in retrospect, this situation is too stupid to comprehend. The 2 guys that were getting megabucks that pushed Peters to ask for more money have now been cut outright savings tens of millions of $$$$. Of course, none of this money saved has been applied to fixing the LT hole, as the Bills are again employing the lowest paid LT in the league.
  3. you forgot - Ol' Ralphie is unwilling to fire his current coach as long as there is money due on his contract so all of the above are moot
  4. what you fail to factor into your equation is that by going back to Philly, Runyan would be passing up the opportunity of a lifetime to be coached by the imminently renowned genius of Sean Kugler.
  5. that is mostly incorrect before the no huddle, the offense at least moved the ball at times and scored, but they were inconsistent. However, that is light years ahead of where this offense is. the Kelly offense was much more effective using the no huddle because the OL was able to exploit superior conditioning to dominate DLs. without it, they struggled when going man-to-man because they were physically superior to the DLs they faced.
  6. we've got more DBs on our active roster than most, if not all, of the teams in the league. that's got to count for something
  7. 57,000 bought season tickets not sure there are many more out there
  8. when your C gets thrown back into the QBs lap on a recurring basis, that is probably not a good thing for the OL but hey, that's just me
  9. another fine free agent acquisition by that talent guru John Guy.
  10. The reason you haven't heard about it is because it is typical Bills propaganda created to shift the blame to the recently released player. Walker was not a LT - not a surprise but to attack the guys integrity and attitude after kicking him to the curb is a typical Russ Brandon hachet job the same type of program he orchestrated against Peters lucky for him -the Bills lemmings buy this crap hook, line and sinker
  11. why is it that the Bills continually insist on running schemes that don't fit the personnel they have. they knew Walker was fat and slow - it's not like this happened overnight They spend years acquiring talent and then adamantly pound the round peg into the square hole
  12. too bad they have an inept OL coach responsible for doing the "development" hopefully he doesn't alienate this bunch like he did with Peters, Dockery and Walker, etc so they don't have their heart in playing for the Bills.
  13. I find it amazing that all of the Bills OL decided simultaneously that they did not want to play in Buffalo - Peters, Dockery, Walker, etc Let's review- in 2007- Jim McNally is the OL coach the bills bring in 2 highly paid free agents. the OL as a whole performs better than at anytime over the previous 15 years. Jason Peters makes the Pro bowl in 2008, Kugler takes over as the OL coach. Peters "regresses" and does not play up to his standard - his hold out is blamed, and he is traded in 2009 Dockery "regresses" significantly in 2008 and it is determined that his play does not justify his contract - he is cut outright in 2009 Fowler and Preston "regress" from servicable players to outright liabilities. The are cut at end of 2008. In 2009- the Bills run Peters out of town and move Walker to LT without his prior knowledge knowing they will be running the no huddle. 2009- end of pre-season, Walker is deemed to have "regressed" badly and is cut outright. In a brilliant revelation, Kugler and staff realize Walker is overweight and poorly conditioned which severely hinders his play. Since no healthy OL is available to play LT, the Bills re-sign Kirk Chambers who was cut the day before because his play had "regressed". However, he got better overnight and now qualifies as one of John Guy's tremendous free agent OL discoveries. seems there is a lot of "regressing" under Kugler's watch. Coincidence??? I think not and the bills faithful expect Kugler to take 3 rookies, a cast off and a always injured OT playing out of position and turn then into a cohesive OL. Better hope they all decide they don't want to play in Buffalo anymore
  14. you left out the part where they cut Dockery to save his big contract without a replacement plan in place Dockery was so bad that he had to wait until the next day to sign a $25 million contract with a team well versed in his skills. The cap would have gone down if they had signed Peters
  15. what you didn't see were all the reps that Bell got in those 2-a-day practices refining the techiques to play LT at a high level. oh wait- nevermind
  16. hey Russ - nice spin I know it's tough to gut your team the week before the season starts and convince the fans it's a good thing. Whatever Ralph pays you, it's not enough for the genius you've brought to the PR and marketing of this craptacular product keep up the good work PS - your job would be a lot easier if you hired an NFL caliber front office and coaching staff.
  17. more likely Dick knows he is guaranteed to be paid $6 million no matter what he does. Based on Ralph's history, there is little chance he gets fired, especially if there are "extenuating circumstances" for why the team tanked. so he has free reign to do as he pleases. At this point, he may even prefer to get fired and collect that money sitting at home and working in some lower capacity in a non-dysfunctional organization either way, Dick is in control
  18. Turk had a lot of "passing thoughts" - especially on 3rd and 1 in the red zone
  19. lack of depth?? you are looking in the wrong places we have plenty of DBs - kept 11 who needs OL -
  20. force his hand? how - by buying record numbers of season tickets - like they did this year to show their displeasure with keeping Dick???
  21. disagree. Dick has the excuse generator on full. Ralph won't eat the 2 years as long as Dick can spin some tale of woe of why it's so hard to win in the NFL.
  22. As I have been saying for weeks, Walker is paid way too much to play anywhere but LT for this front office. The clown show is convinced they can field an OL of rookies and free agent cast offs. Since they set a record for season ticket sales, I guess they are right.
  23. John Guy should take a bow. how a guy with that track record still has a job has to be worthy of the Guiness Book of World Records
  24. giving up what turned out to be Fred Taylor was bad enough but the real inept move was givng RJ a massive $25 contract extension before he played a down for the Bills
  25. Dick knows a crappy offense he should they follow him everywhere he coaches. coincidence - I think not
