  1. well - if you thought he could play LT, then he damn well should have been a stud LT any other person with half a brain could tell that an unmotivated, fat and slow RT who couldn't handle speed rushers from that side would be a disaster at LT
  2. this is true./ also does not help that your LBs are severely undersized
  3. stop the nonsense we just want our premium picks to actually stay on the field and be at least somwhat productive. The play of Wood is what Bills fans expect from a premium pick. Unfortuantely they get squat, summarized below off the top of my head: for example Hardy -no skill other than his height, offered no help to team desparate for #2 WR McCargo--injured when drafted and still injured, complete bust Lynch- -- suspended, outproduced by undrafted Jackson POZ -injured when drafted, injured twice after, great white hope Maybin - Bills dropped the ball in getting him to camp, little impact Whitner - no impact plays, passed on Ngata JP - multiple picks spent for QB without a brain- compounded by bad coaching the list goes on zero impact players from the draft
  4. and you knew about these faulty parts for how long before the "event"?
  5. could be a 1st rounder in 2015. that's worth something, eh?
  6. it sure would right up to the point where they got their boatload of money.
  7. but at least it was entertaining The Bills lose and games are downright painful to watch on both sides of the ball.
  8. cash to crap indeed The Bills saved almost $15 in running Peters, Dockery and Walker out of town. This was money they included in their roster to meet their cash-to-cap budget. Yet that money went right to Ralph's pocket since they did not use a dime of it to upgrade the roster. and don't even bring up TO, since he was signed long before this fiasco and paid for with increased ticket sales
  9. same reason Trent blows on Sundays he practices all week with the DBs 10 yards off the WR so they are always wide open no so much on Sundays when real teams play aggressive defense and the WRs are not as open as he is coached every day in practice.
  10. and you may have stumbled on why the Bills have no OL in 2009. The Ralph plan seems to be to make the team so bad that Dick would prefer to quit than put up with this disaster of a team and the fan backlash.
  11. sounds like Russ may get a bonus of 10% of the salary he can dump
  12. Brandon started this disaster in 2008 when he decided to strut his power in his first act as GM. He decided to play hardball with his best player and told him in Jan 2008 that he would be get no new deal in 2008. Showing the arrogance typical of the Bills front office, he failed to address the consequences of an extended Peters holdout - which became quite likely as Peters did not show for any off-season activities before the draft. so instead of drafting an elite LT (Ryan Clady) to give him leverage in his hardball play with Peters, he drafted another injury prone DB.
  13. why would they think they were not going to keep Walker?? they had already paid him his multi-million $$ bonus in March - a huge indication from this team that they were keeping him. They had the same situation with Dockery and decided at the last minute to cut him to save his bonus money. they had him playing LT for all of the off-season work. they gutted their OL to save money -
  14. so as bad as the OTs played, why did neither of them get any help from a RB or TE for the entire game? what exactly was Van Pelt looking at from his air conditioned box???
  15. maybe if they had 2 NFL quality OTs, they could compete. but the Bills thinking is all backwards, as usual seems that waiting for NFL castoffs, re-treads and rookies to make you competitive with an inept coaching staff pretty much ensures you won't be spending for the playoff push any time soon.
  16. the "double team"excuse is pure horse-hockey another excuse for a team famous for them there are probably not more than 5 times the entire game where any WR is covered by 2 separate players for his entire route. Almost all "double" coverage is short / deep with safety help over the top. Routes that are less than 15 yards never reach teh deep safety so the "double" coverage never kicks in. In addition, many of the teams we face play zone where DBs only cover an area of the field. NFL caliber WRs and coordinators know where to exploit the seams in the zone. This is where the 2 DBs applying the "double" coverage hand off the coverage and allows a window where the WR is basically covered by no-one.
  17. with as little as Chambers was moving his feet, it looked to me like he has some serious injury. this would be par for the course for the Bills to go in to the season with only 7 OL and 3 of them already had serious injuries.
  18. if your scheme relies on 2 safeties to stop the run, you are screwed anyway.
  19. yes - Buffalo is rolling in the dough in 2009 they are well under the cap and even farther under the cash to cap nonsense they want to play since the big bonus money of Walker and Dockery are in the cap but not the cash flow.
  20. The Bills ran out of town Peters, Dockery and Walker saving almost $15 milion in salary for 2009 alone and did not spend a single dime of that savings on improving the team. what is Ralph spending the money on??
  21. now that Miami has shown how to take away the dump off will the Bills have any offense at all the rest of this season. they were sitting there punishing every single sucker who caught a Trent dump off. without the dump-offs - will Trent's head explode next week?
  22. He is still tall (although not as tall as listed in his college program) so he still must be really really good.
  23. Trent may be the QB at the moment , but he sure is not the "leader" this team desperately needs. The major problem is that there is no leadership from the players or the coaches.
  24. they would also have to replace the front office with some real talent evaluators who could identify who the "stars" are seems our clown show overpays the average talent and runs the good talent out of town
  25. why else gut your OL to save the huge money of Dockery, Peters and Walker's contract and not spend a dime of it on replacing them (let alone improving the OL)
