All of Bills Front Office moves were WRONG this year
spartacus replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they could have gotten him in the 2nd round the same way they got their other overhyped defensive stud, POZ, in the 2nd round -when Marv wanted him at #12 in the 1st. you can understand how the Bills continue to reach for questionable talent (Whitner, POZ, Maybin) when you see the talent evaluators had POZ ranked ahead of Patrick Willis. -
Bills have contacted Charlie Weis
spartacus replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Inner Circle Jerk lives on building a team backwards and upside down. Hire a GM who understands that you need to be a power football team- not a finesse passing team with a "schematic advantage" Weis as HC will be an unmitigated disaster -
Major rebuilding project ahead for the Bills

Lynch is the same dumbass thug in any scheme Fred Jackson is your starter -
yeah and he then went on to reference the TO contract as his big example of spending the big bucks 50 years of not hiring top notch coaches and front office people tends to offset the occasional sound bite designed to keep the fans interest hyped.

its not as bad as you may think
spartacus replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on your plan, the bills would only be few players short assuming the rookies play as advertised- which has not worked for a Bills draft in a long time a right DE- Schoebel if he does not retire is way too small to play RDE in a 3-4 Williams is a reach at LDE, Denny though might be functional you would only need 2 NFL caliber LBs- Mitchell blows wherever you play him and Maybin has never played in space. Although all the experience he has gotten this year will be invaluable. The best you can say about POZ is he has not showed to be a complete washout at OLB- but his blazing speed would be a big asset in coverage (not) -
What is this nonsense, Fitzpatrick gametime decision?
spartacus replied to Mr. T's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's really quite simple Brohm is jnext year's TO- although at a fraction of the cost the next savior QB to be used to sell season tickets this only works if the lemmings buy the hype. Having Brohm actually play and shatter the illusion with his craptacular performance will ruin Brandon's off-seaon plan. -
you must still be reading the media hype from Brohm's junior year at Louisville. they guy was cut by Green Bay after beaten out by a 7th round rookie. Nobody wanted him so GB carried him on their practice squad all year. Still nobody wanted him until the Bills claimed him Green Bay, who knew how "good" he was, failed to outbid the Bills for his services. Although the guy is probably worse than Fitz, Brandon will be able to spin him as the next savior unless he actually plays in the next 2 games and shows how bad he really is.

Major rebuilding project ahead for the Bills
spartacus replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wood may never play again Butler has not been healthy for more than a few games in a row in his entire career and Bell has never been healthy period. good guys to build around - if they were even functional to begin with (which they are not) The OL is a complete mess - but at least the Bills saved $15 mil in 2009 by getting rid of the only guys that actually played. -
Brandon and/or Wilson have never committed to anything other than firing Dick. post any link you can find in which Ralphs says anything more than he is considering the "possibility" of changes in the front office which came out of JW's interview with Ralph. Everything else has been media speculation based on what could, should and might happen. Unattributed "reports" that the Bills will do something after Christmas are no more reliable than postings on this message board.

spartacus replied to takmwhitey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you guys are being overly critical of Brandon. He made the decision to run Peters out of town. and he followed that up with the decision to play the 2009 season with a junior high quality OL. What's not to like in the guy as a GM -
yeah - sort of like that Rick (Randy) Mueller combo you have been pushing head of the UFL is not exactly an NFL front office but that's what being hypocritical is all about!!

Mike Williams vs Bryant McKinnie
spartacus replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Williams pick was always a stupid arrogant pick. It was bad enough to waste top 5 resources on a RT, who already had serious motivational and weight problems. The pick became inexcusable when they passed on a legit LT to do it, especially one that played in a pro style passing offense at an elite college program. Donahoe, as with all of his picks, was out to show he was smarter than everyone else so he could face time on ESPN. Williams was touted as being "quick on his feet for a man of his size". The dumbass media bought into the nonsense that quick feet and the fact that he protected the lefty QBs blindside at Texas made him a LT. -
if Donahoe had half a brain, he would have traded up to get Ben instead of wasting those picks to move up for Losman.

only a loser organization would let the acting GM conduct the search for his replacement - especially when his biggest attribute is his ability to sell tickets for a crappy product a real team serious about winning would hire a NFL consultant like Ron Wolfe or an executive search firm to find and evaluate capable and qualified GM candidates from successful NFL organizations. Unfortunately this whole discussion is moot because the Bills have no interest in cleaning out the front office and firing a GM with real powers. All GM discussion has been the product of unsupported media speculation -
Ron Wolfe go back and look at all of the NFL quality QBs drafted, acquired and developed by Green Bay when Wolfe was there. Bills should hire him as a consultant for the QB and GM search
-
1. Agree that the only indication of money being spent by the Bills has come from unsupported media speculation. Having eaten Dick's contract, any real NFL coach will require Ralph to fire the remaining staff which will not sit well with Littman. Expect Fewell to stay as HC or another craptacular has-been like Haslett who will be required to keep most of the existing staff. (It was the injuries in 2009, not bad coaching) 2. Disagree on GM. No one in the Bills organization has indicated that ANY changes will be made in the front office, let alone a total overhaul with a new GM. The most Ralph has said, is that he will consider the "possibility" of making changes in the front office and that was immediately after firing Dick. Now that he has calmed down, don't expect much. People are going to be sorely disappointed when next season starts with the Inner Circle Jerk intact, except for the likely addition of the 70 year old Buddy Nix. 3. Polian. Even with Polian, Ralph did not suddenly become an astute talent evaluator. At the time, Polian again was the cheap internal promotion- after Ralph's hand picked GM, Terry Bledsoe, failed miserably. Without a topflight consultant like Ron Wolf or an NFL executive search firm, the likelihood of the Bills obtaining a quality GM are next to nil.

This team really is a mess. Look at the depth chart

who needs to run when you are tall? all of that route running, separation, ball catching, running, etc is vastly overrated -
Sounds Like Hardy will be activated this weekend.
spartacus replied to commish95's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hardy is tall so he is good. Actually very tall, so he is very good Don't understand why inability to run routes, get off the line and catch the ball have kept him anchored to the bench when he is so tall -
Where would you start to fix this squad?

Eric DeCosta would be a better choice anyone associated with Lou Holtz is tainted by his recruiting violations which put every school he ever coached at on probation after he left. -
$10 Million dollars on the table and no one wants it?

you don't change 50 years of operating procedures overnight Expect Stew Barber's clone as GM -
$10 Million dollars on the table and no one wants it?
spartacus replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This unnamed league source also said Cowher "told them he's not interested in interviewing at this time" So the Bills made an offer before even talking to or interviewing Cowher. Even Brandon is not that stupid. Just more propaganda and speculation, nothing solid from any living breathing Bills rep. -
$10 Million dollars on the table and no one wants it?
spartacus replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't believe the Bills have ever committed to paying a coach any amount. The $10million and the partial ownership for a coach story is pure speculation put out by Vic Carucci which have turned into urban legends. The Bills will not hire a caoch any better than Perry Fewell and will keep the Inner Circle jerk intact --and the lemmings will set still more season ticket sales records -
Poz weighs 238 just like Maybin weighs 250 a little artistic license with the playbook
