  1. This is true - Ralph is again ahead of the curve in planning for the lockout He knows there will be a lockout in 2011 and he is assembling the perfect staff to coach a bunch of young, unskilled replacement players. By getting coaches well versed in coaching 2nd tier recruits at GT, bad talent at KC and NFL rejects in the CFL, the Bills will have a major advantage over all other staffs in 2011. not to mention the CFL dude will have an inside pipeline to scab players from Canada - a perfect tie-in to the Toronto connection. Ralph's plan is to win the Super Bowl in 2011 - nobody will remember if it was tainted by the lockout. Anyone know where Shane Falco is?
  2. Most of the players that do play for the Bills don't live here either.
  3. well - there has to be some explanation for the craptacular staff they are putting together
  4. as usual, this conclusion is flawed without knowing the defense that will be deployed. Any LB that can create havoc is worth taking if the coaching is smart enough to know how to mazimize that skill set. the bills have missed out on premium talent and playmakers because they have passed over studs to fill holes (that were generally self-inflicted).
  5. Looks like Gailey and Nix are putting together a good staff. 6. this franchise has not been "proud" for at least 10 years. Vick can't hold a handle to the stupid decisions and cheapness used as standard operating procedure by Ralph. Vick would actually be a positive step towards improving the product on the field
  7. as bad as the Bills played under Jauron, this staff will be worse and the results will probably be as well butr what does Ralph care, since the lemmings will set season ticket sales records just because Dick is not the coach. QB coach and DC from the CFL???
  8. your definition of "good" is suspect. I wouldn't exactly be using Chan Gailey to prove your point. but I guess he has not fired by such a glamour league as the UFL Ted has been fired because he has failed miserably at all coaching positions except when working under Wade as LB coach - which indicates Wade was the reason for any success the D had and not Ted.
  9. "it's always been done this way" is the stock response of course, there are many teams that are now moving to a spread offense out of the shotgun because the NFL continues to pass rules to favor the pass. Manning and Brady operate this way most of the time. As good college programs continue to turnout spread- option QBs, NFL teams will start to adopt the spread as a standard formation. Although Tebow gets a lot of flack, he will be drafted and if the right coach gets him-he will be successful if allowed to run the spread. A skilled coach can design run plays out of the shotgun that are more effective than the traditional run plays. (just don't tell the old-school types)
  10. Cite something that confirms that Dick is making more than $2.5 mil, as is Chan. I have not seen anything official -as the Bills like to keep all contract details secret. Highly unlikely either one is making more than $2.5 mil / yr.
  11. I would be surprised if Ralph ended up spending more than $10 mil per year on Gailey's staff, Dick's fired staff and the front office and scouting dept.
  12. but then again the NYG have an NFL caliber scouting staff The Bills have 8 full time scouts and part timers in Modrak and Nix who work out of thier homes in distant states. sounds like the coaches need to be there to have a shot at getting some good talent.
  13. yeah - Ted would fit right in fired as DC by 4 different teams and now fired by the UFL the Bills can't get a coach better fitting their bottom of the barrel salary requirements.
  14. Bills fans are the most gullible in the sporting world Does not matter how stupid or weak the hire, they will defend it to the max as long as it was done by the Bills.
  15. Acorn probably has that lady looking for handouts registered as a Democrat by now
  16. it will set the franchise back 5 years if they chase the overhyped Clausen or Bradford.
  17. He's bigger than anyone we have to play LT could be a real steal
  18. and if the Bills get him he will become the next savior. Lynch is a remorseless thug who runs down women while drunk -= and he has the biggest fan club on any Bill.
  19. we also could have drafted Big Ben by giving up the boatload of picks used to move up to take Losman
  20. just like they "tried" to a high profile GM just didn't "try" very hard to close the deal (or even start the process) nobody spins the fan base better than Russ Brandon
  21. we will probably never know
  22. only in Bills fantasy land. the same place where Bryant McKinnie is better than Mike Williams, Whitner is better than Ngata and Lynch is better than Revis.
  23. winning 6 football (not basketball) games in the ACC is pretty darn impressive! some years he even won 7 games - so you can tell he is a top notch coach pretty crappy recruiter, which must be why he hired his recruiting coordinator to coach LBs
  24. and when that guy gets hurt, then you're defense is a sieve
  25. I did not see the first half, but from when I started watching, it sure looked like the refs were favoring the Vikings. It's too bad the ref gave Favre the penalty on the first legal hit. because after that, NO was in a frenzy to dismember Favre. and none of those hits would have happened if the Vikings had punted after the sack on the bogus roughing call.
