  1. yeah- we usually take our gun-toting WRs in the 2nd round the 1st round is reserved for gun-toting thug RBs
  2. yeah the draft should be a big improvement both Modrak and Nix were here last year and did such a swell job with Maybin - how can they go wrong this year.
  3. he would fit right in , nobody on the Bills have ever played a 3-4 either
  4. There will not be a CBA in 2011- but there will be football. The owners will unilaterally implement new rules and invite the players to play under them. The union is a joke and will not be able to control enough of its members from wanting and /or needing to play. Ralph will be ready to hire scabs to save even more money than he will in 2010
  5. no the driver was paid to stage the whole thing the 911 as well as the cop told him numerous times to put the car in neutral and the driver refused to respond to the operator
  6. looks like John Guy was not not the guy who had no clue about how to evaluate OL talent. some other rocket scientist at OBD has no clue about the OL
  7. but we overpaid him by a lot so he must be good based on his salary one of his biggest attributes is that he will give Bell a run for his money for most penalties.
  8. I believe Miami cut him loose when they had the worst OL in the league he was one of the reasons why
  9. exactly - so why not tender Incognito unless he costs too much for the big spending Bills
  10. It was a another stupid move by the clown show at OBD. The proper move is to tender the guy and retain control over his rights until you see what you can replace him with in the draft and free agency. There is a chance someone else wants him and gives you a pick. It's not like the bills are overflowing with healthy OL under contract. same story as the past 10 years, cut loose guys to save money and create more holes than can be filled in the off-season.
  11. of course it makes sense he costs too much 7th round and UDFA scrubs cost less
  12. Yeah too bad Nix and Modrak weren't here last year when Maybin got picked oh- wait they worked for Buffalo - but that's what happens when you work from home in a distant state
  13. Fortunately for Dallas, there was a QB worth drafting . also helped that the Vikings gave them a boatload of picks as ammunition to add those other pieces
  14. he's also bigger than Maybin and most of our LBs
  15. The info on that site seems to be seriously flawed and hence unreliable. with the 2009 cap minimum at about $110 mil, how can the Rams have a salary number of $62 mil? and with the Bills employing a cash to cap strategy, why is it surprising that their listed salary base of $111 mil right around the league mandated minimum of $110 mil. Without understanding the details of how USA Today compiled those numbers, your reliance on it is worthless.
  16. you can add Schobel, Kelsey, Stroud and Whitner to the overpaid and underperformers who will be cut loose to slash costs. Payroll will be cut to around $75 mil with no minimum in 2010 as Ralph builds his war chest. The payroll purge started last year with the gutting of costs on the OL (dockery, Peters, Walker) with nothing spent to replace them. Starting an injured 7th rounder at LT and bringing back a guy so bad the Bills cut him to start at RT is an indication of the kind of commitment you will see in 2010 to replace the bloated contracts cut loose. With a lockout coming in 2011, don't expect any good free agents to be brought in. Gailey and his teachers were brought in to coach the young, cheap (and not very good) players that will populate this team in 2010. Nix better not miss on any draft picks this year.
  17. Kelsey, Schobel, Stroud and Whitner all will be gone before too long. and forget adding any expensive free agent replacements Ralph will take advantage of the uncapped year - good thing they changed to a 3-4 making all of those underperforming, overpaid defensive guys disposable.
  18. playing in cold weather where? Notre Dame finished its season around Thanksgiving - barely after the leaves came off the trees and just a little bit before the snow and cold
  19. always a fun time to discuss draft picks of the Bills no one ever responsible for the duds not the top national scout not the head of college scouting must have been Chuck Lester filling out the draft card without the knowledge of OBD - but only for the busts I guess these guys have no pull regarding the draft when they spend no time in Buffalo to make their comments known. Tennessee and Florida must not have good phone lines.
  20. and you have insider insights to all of these team's draft boards how? the only team that we know for sure had him graded as a top 10 player was the Bills.
  21. this is all true the real weakness with Marv were the marginal staffs he assembled. Outside of Marchibroda, Marv was pretty incompetent in bringing in top coaches- and Ted was probably here because of Polian.
  22. has anybody corrected them? who exactly would call them out on the record? Ralph someone from the Inner Circle Jerk - who are all committed to deflecting responsibility? that about covers everyone in the draft room help me out
  23. just what the Bills need, more overpriced gadget players
  24. Trying to hide behind incohent mumbo-jumbo does not change the fact that that trying to use the same 3 small guys on the D-Line to stop the run in 2010 will work even worse than using 4 of those small guys to stop the the run in last year's 4-3 cover-2. The reason the 3-4 is flexible is that you can move the LBs around to create confusion. The Bills have no LBs that are big enough to take on OL from a 3-4. The talk of converting former DL to LBs is so much nonsense since those players have never played in space to cover receivers and backpedal. The biggest impact of teh stated change to a 3-4 will be the gutting of the big money contracts of Schobel, Kelsay, Denney, Stroud and Whitner who won't fit the new scheme- no matter what they really end up playing
