  1. don't forget Shanahan and Cowher and Tim Tebow little too much of denial having Ralph go ballistic for there to be nothing to it
  2. why is this a surprise? typical Bills keep wasting first round picks on the same small player position. that's 3 first round and a 2nd round RB this decade too bad we have nobody to block for him
  3. yeah - after he busted last year with Maybin, 2 in a row would be a bummer
  4. convenient how those rumblings only came out after the season Modrak is the master of revisionist history
  5. Hardy still can't run routes after 2 years - so not as easy as it sounds
  6. they need impact playmakers either a stud LT who can neutralize an elite passrusher by himself or a passrusher who can disrupt an offense and requires the offense to gameplan around top 10 picks need to studs, not slugs
  7. same 6 scouts same director of college scouting- working part time from Florida same Buddy Nix- who was here last year for the Maybin pick looks like not much has changed
  8. the 2010 QB class is weak Clausen is talked about as top 10 pick because the usual suspects are even worse, but the media need to hype some QBs in to the top of draft It's similar to when Joey H came out- and we know how that turned out
  9. "Clausen is better then anything we have on this roster right now.." you must be basing this conclusion on all of the NFL games Clausen has played in Clausen is no better than Brady Quinn, but with a better PR dept and a weak QB class. he may have physical tools but there is no proof he can handle the mental part of the game. his physical tools also do not include being able to consistently escape elite pass rushers who will be abusing our non-existent OTs.
  10. much more difficult to find the elite pass rusher than any other spot on the defense you need playmakers and impact players from the top 10, not slugs who just take up space. like RTs and slow, non-penetrating DL
  11. but then again, Nix is 70 years old and does not need to position himself for future long term employment. If Tebow turns out, Nix is a god; if not, he goes back to retirement he can make the risky pick if he so chooses
  12. of course, what you conveniently forget, is that the Jets are already a contender with a stable lineup while the Bills have gaping holes everyone. The Bills need to add free agents and draft picks just to field an OL and a front 7 now shifting to a 3-4. The Jets already replaced Jones with Shonn Green and added LT for good measure. Their WR corp will have Edwards for a full season in addition to Holmes, Keller and Cotchery. You are right, we have Hardy and Johnson and Chad Jackson- no upgrade needed there for the Bills. they have a top 5 OL, we have a retread at RT and nobody at all at LT - no upgrade needed there either for the Bills. We are switching to a 3-4, the front 7 has never played it and we don't have an NFL caliber NT on the roster - smoke and mirrors should suffice - no upgrade needed so I guess you are right, we are right there with the Jets
  13. YOU think they need a stud lineman THEY think Bell is the next coming and we will stop the run with numbers expect them to ignore the trenches and to draft a small player to sell tickets
  14. What's the big deal? the team knows they won't be paying Schobel in 2010 from their standpoint, he is already retired
  15. Your position must be that it's not "technically rape" because when she told him NO she was too drunk to mean it?
  16. you do realize that to reach 1000 yards you need to generate a whopping 62.5 yards per game not exactly a high bar you've set there, ace when you spend 1st and 2nd round picks on guards, they need to dominate to make the pick worthwhile because you passed on true impact playmakers to make the picks. for a team without any OTs, they needed to spend one of those premium picks on an elite athlete able to play LT and handle premier pass rushers by himself.
  17. Exactly Terrence Pennington was another rookie starter drafted by Marv He didn't even stay in the NFL more than 1 year The Bills are forced to start these rookies because they create gaping holes on the roster. Last year, the rookies had to start on the OL because the Bills had no other options (NONE) because they cut or traded away everyone else looks like they may do it again this year when they trade Lynch and waste the #9 pick on his replacement while failing to improve the trenches
  18. 04/13/2010 - Scouts don't question his upside, but tell me that Pierre-Paul is "at least" one year away from being a major contributor to an NFL team. He lacked the strength and toughness last year to provide much in terms of run defense for the Bulls and really disappointed at the Combine, struggling during interviews by showing very little understanding of basic football principles. Considering the value of pass rushers, scouts still thought Pierre-Paul would "probably" make the first round, but weren't certain what teams could afford to devote millions to such a project. "I wouldn't even use a second round pick on the guy," said one high ranking team official. "You see flashes, sure, but [the team that drafts him] had better keep things simple. Don't ask him to know gap assignments. Don't ask him to really play football. Just rush the passer." - Rob Rang, The Sports Xchange, NFLDraftScout.com sounds like a lock at #9
  19. They haven't even got past #1 yet they have a retired 70 year old scout working part time from his home in Tennessee now allegedly making the football decisions and he has yet to beef up the scouting dept to more than the 6 scouts they have been relying on . but not to worry, Modrak still runs college scouting on a part time basis from his home in Florida but they bring in a pro scout from Pittsburgh to replace Guy- so the rapist QB could be on his way to Buffalo - Bills fans will rejoice as they will have another criminal thug to keep Lynch company
  20. we've got Maybin - what more do we need?
  21. well, then the God of all sports personalities has made his proclamation all bow- to the great Kuharsky is this the same guy that Jim Schoenfeld told to "eat another donut, you fat pig"
  22. you are correct Gailey's track record over the last 10 years of building an NFL contender through the draft have been astounding same with Buddy- for over 50 years, he has been making the key draft decisions as the head guy the off-season has been just so impressive, the draft will be icing on the cake
  23. uh - no that would be Jason Pierre-Paul
  24. based on history, looks like another undersized DE we plan on switching to LB who was a one year wonder in college the dude from South Florida looks to be a lock
  25. there is no libel when the statement is true
