  1. there will be no lockout. The owners will bargain to an impasse and then impose the last proposal as the new rules. The players can play or strike, but the owners will not lock them out. The NFLPA will then de-ceretify and some players will sue the league for anti-trust restraint of trade violations caused by the draft & free agency rules
  2. funny thing- Kelsay does not get paid if he is cut Stroud does not either, but they sunk so much in his signing bonus, there is more incentive to keep him
  3. Green is just further indictment of the total ineptness of the Bills talent evaluators when it comes to the OL. Probably a good thing they did not waste any high picks on the wrong OL project who would surely bust just as bad as Green. This is a sound plan to check out the players on the roster until replacing them with something better. Using this same approach, Nix should have kept both Incognito and Scott - both who they controlled as restricted free agents for little money. Both would be upgrades to what the Bills are rolling out at OL this year. However, the Bills front office has never met an OL they could not properly evaluate converting a guy that failed at OG to play RT is not exactly a slam dunk improvement
  4. surprised Modrak could find the time in his semi-retirement to make it to Buffalo for a game- although it is sort of hot and wet in Florida this time of year.
  5. so how is it that our crackerjack coaching had him on the bench to start the game?
  6. Well - he admitted Green sucks and needs to be replaced and that was Buddy;s plan - so looks like a failure to me The OL would be light years ahead of where it is now if he had kept Incognito and Scott until some young players proved they were better. The Buddy plan is go into the season with crap at both OTs was irresponsible - unless of course the real objective is lock up a top 3 pick and a stud QB in next year's draft.
  7. flozell adams would have helped they would be better off with Calloway at RT
  8. there is no one in the Bills organization that has any credibility at identifying OL talent. Buddy is the one who brought in Green and gave him $3 mil - so he must know what he's doing with OL - fat chance
  9. well if Buddy does as good a job as filling that RT need with guys like Green, then it may take a lot longer than 8 years. Gotta love Bills fans - Buddy has a press conf where he admits that the OL plan he orchestrated in the off- season is a total failure after game 1, and the fans want to coronate him.
  10. to make it worse, GB took Rodgers one pick after the Bills pick that was given to Dallas for Losman
  11. he had and maintained control when his butt hit the ground. he then rolled and he put the ball on the ground as he was getting up completely bogus call.
  12. the really sad thing is the Bills could have drafted Rodgers one pick before the Packers with the pick we gave to Dallas for Losman
  13. maybe if Evans had talent and savvy that matched his contract, he would have raised his arms early to make the arm-bar obvious
  14. it is unfortunate that he sucks as a a coach, but at least he knows and admits it
  15. ah- grasshopper the master plan is finish with a top 3 draft pick why else does an offensive genius like Chan go in to the season with a total turd at QB and then pretend that Bell, Meredith and Green are anything more than training camp fodder.
  16. another great white hope bites the dust he really should have gotten the instructions before he started taking those steroids and performance enhancing drugs
  17. but our cracker jack talent evaluators thought he was good enough for a $3 mil contract the bulk of the offensive futility of the past 15 years if connected to the fact that our front office is inept at finding and evaluating OL talent.
  18. pretty much spot on Bengals go over which probably means Steelers go under
  19. and yet the talent evaluators that brought in all of those players are still here
  20. nice personal attack
  21. and because their front office is inept in evaluating talent, they targeted the wrong players, severely overspent, and cut them within 2 years of the big splurge. the problem with the Bills, now and for the last 15 years, is the inability to evaluate players - in college, other team's free agents and on their own team. no surprise, since the scouting dept has been pretty much intact for the last 10 years when it is a surprise to the organization that your 2nd round WR never had to adjust his routes in college, you get the idea how weak the scouting and talent evaluation process really is
  22. would have been nice to implement a plan to fix the OL a little bit earlier than the final cutdown date. they had an entire off-season to do something but just hoped that Chambers would turn into a stud in the off season.
  23. personal attacks like this should result in banning but PTR has a history here so he is protected fine you don't like someone calling out the front office, but it hardly justifies the crap you posted above
  24. looks like Dick handed in the lineup card
  25. typical misguided Bills fan blaming the wrong scapegoat. Modrak and his jolly band of incompetent talent evaluators is still running the show and has been for the last decade. he is more responsible than anyone else for the poor results on the field from the last 10 drafts.
