All Peyton Manning, all the time!
spartacus replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe not - but he is probably already at the Fitzpatrick level -
Barnett does not count as a free agent loss to the Packers However I think he counts as an add to the Bills since he was signed as a free agent
-
Stevie is gone as they have done numerous times in the past, Bills need to cut him loose to justify blowing another top 10 pick on a "small" perimeter player.

Chan already tried to tank a season to get their franchise QB when you are 0-8, it takes some effort but they are so dysfunctional, they screwed that up too they wanted Newton and figured that Luck would come out and #3 would be high enough they got too cute AGAIN, and missed out when Cam went #1 It's hard to lose them all in the NFL

funny how you mention Ted Cottrell he was the worst of the bunch and got fired from 4 different teams Wade Phillips was the last OC or DC worth a damn

Why are we talking about free agency?
spartacus replied to XXL Franchize's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills also like this time as well. they can pump up the fan base with much talk about chasing premium free agents -without spending any money on actually signing any one with any talent. expect many rumors from Chris Brown and other "insiders" about the Bills mancrush on Vjax, Mario Williams, Reggie Wayne, etc. too bad they will be outbid and will have to settle for more practice squad rejects from the PAckers -
talk about mis-allocation of resources it is astounding that the Bills have not spent a single pick in the top 3 rounds of the draft on a bonafide LEFT tackle who could step in and start since Polian left a generation ago Mike Williams was right tackle who couldn't his college position, let alone LT and people wonder why the Bills QBs have been inconsistent and underperforming for the same time frame

Why We're Heading In The Right Direction
spartacus replied to HuSeYiN1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah= why would you expect to hold the asst head coach responsible for anything where was all that defensive expertise last year - when he was on the roster and the defense was one of the worst of all time may be why people with half a brain question his status as savior of a craptacluar defense he was a part of -
uh- pretty much he was a restricted free agent with no ability to go anywhere else his only option was to hold out - and we know how well blinded Bills fans -(like yourself) treat holdouts

If Evans gets cut do you want him back
spartacus replied to ALLEN1QB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
especially since Fitz can't throw the one route that Evans can run -
hit me with those manipulated stats one more time maybe also focus on the part where the Bills obsession with first round RBs and DBs did not severely hinder the upgrading of the OTs and front seven on this team drafting one OT in teh first round in the last 18 years would tend to support the premise that resources were spent on "small" players to the deteriment of improving the trenches regardless of the above, the bigger problem has been that the players selected have not been very good - no playmakers at any position drafted

Why We're Heading In The Right Direction
spartacus replied to HuSeYiN1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what exactly did Wanstadt do last year? other than steal a paycheck why anyone thinks just by changing his title the defense will improve immensely is delusional Buddy spent the last 3 years acquiring 3-4 players, and now everyone expects a 4-3 defense to perform miracles -

spartacus replied to HuSeYiN1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
way to have high expectations Bills could win 7 games and be in the playoff chase until the end not exactly contender material - but matching a Dick Jauron;s mediocrity would be an improvement for Chan -
Godell may just save the Bills afterall...
spartacus replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL already gets the TV ratings in LA- for the best games of each week with a local team that would not sell out - games would be blacked out as they were when the raiders and rams played there - so much for TV ratings The league wants to continue using the threat of a move to LA to extort stadium deals from taxpayers in other cities They don't actually want a team in LA -
Confirmation why defense has been so bad
spartacus replied to GaryPinC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
these conclusions are just wrong When the Bills were in a 3-4 they spend the majority of the time just lining up 3 on 5 and getting their butts kicked. there was no complicated zone blitzes or anything else needed to disguise the defense and confuse the offense. but good thing they brought in Wannstaft this year to turn things around too bad he wasn't here last year to offer his exeprtise oh wait - he was here last year stealing a paycheck can't understand why people think he won't be mailing it in this year too -
so what did Wanny do all of last year other than steal a pay check?
-
players we already have ??? Nix has spent 3 years drafting and signing guys to play in a 3-4 - and all these guys cater to a 4-3? time to start that 5 year re-build all over again

Fitz Has Possibly Had A Broken Rib Since Toronto?
spartacus replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just his effectiveness Trent was a tough guy too - just not a very good QB after being hit hard -
Are the Bills in 2012 a 3-4 or a 4-3 defense
spartacus replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills have no identity Regardless of whether they play a 3-4 or 4-3 front, they should be aggressive and attack the offense- instead of playing this passive, static crap they have been playing forever -
these big name free agents are a target only on the front page of the paper Bills have zero intent on actually coming up with the big bucks to sign these guys - but talk is cheap and they can spin their aggressive pursuit of big name players to appease the fans -- all on a no-money-down approach [

sounds like Trent Edwards syndrome one big shot and he's done the physical injury will heal but mentally incapacitated by fear of another hit at least Fitz got his big payday before he was crippled for life -
Pagano will converting from the Indy cover-2 with an over abundance of small players to an attacking 3-4 players Let's see how long it takes them to make the switch. They are already lightyears ahead of the Bills since they have a defensive coach who knows what he is doing. my guess is that after 3 years they aren't switching to some other defense with their team in total chaos

Buddy loves versatility ( A Draft Discussion)
spartacus replied to ryan42790's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
for a guy that likes versalile players, how could he possibly have failed to draft some OTs that could move inside to play OG. Instead he goes into 2011 with no NFL quality OTs on the roster- It's not versatility he's drafting, its mediocrity -
Lee Evans taking the blame for the loss
spartacus replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
even without the TO, why not take the 5 yard penalty- it's still a chipshot -
Lee Evans taking the blame for the loss
spartacus replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
coach choked why not call a timeout or even take the 5 yard penalty for delay of game why hurry the kick and screw it up
