  1. Poz is too slow to play OLB- The OLB needs to be a playmaking wrecking ball - POZ is a slow white guy on a defense overloaded with them.
  2. hey 1 player in 20 years better than most of the scouts the Bills use bit it does explain why the team was compelled to play Wright, even though he was about 50 lbs undersized for the NT role in the 3-4.
  3. This is correct. If your team has a budget for player costs, then you better invest in the best possbile people to help you made the best decsions on spending those limited dollars.
  4. even better, let's hire a former OL as our HC - like Kirk Ferentz or Russ Grimm. they know what makes a good OL (unlike the clown show currently finding our OL talent) and they would force some high picks to be used on upgrading the line.
  5. the reason we have no competent vets is not because they are too young, it is because they have no real talent. our front office consistently blows its evaluation of talent
  6. hogwash If Ralph was serious, he would have slapped Brandon up side the head as soon as it became apparent that Peterzs was holding out and demanded a new deal be done immediately. Just more lip service from Ralph to placate the masses.
  7. Mayhew has actual football experience and knows what makes players tick. Brandon was the spin doctor for the cheapest team in major league baseball. looks like Detroit is moving in the right direction, the bills are not
  8. The only tool Hardy has is his height - which he did not use to his advantage in 2008. He did not exhibit any other skills of an NFL WR, such as ability to catch, run patterns properly, get separation, beat the jam, run the right plays, block and make blitz adjustments. He did not earn the confidence of either QB because he could not be trusted to be in the right place.
  9. Dick has been gathering the talent for 3 years. If there is lack of veteran leadership, it is because he and Marv ran off the vets and have failed to bring in anyone to replace them. gotta love Brandon's creation where no one is held accountable since is there is no one person in charge. Dick seems to have a thicker teflon coat than Toom Donahoe had.
  10. with Dick in charge, we should be able to get the smallest available CB with that pick- who the Bills will play 10 yards off in a soft zone, thus wasting the man cover skills which caused him to be a 1st rounder in the first place.
  11. that's why a real GM (like Polian) builds his team to beat the teams in his division, and then his conference. take care of what you can control, (winning your division) and the rest will take care of itself Unfortunately our brain trust did not realize that the 3 teams in our division played a 3-4 defense, and thus had no clue how to attack it.
  12. he also likes to manipulate his QBs, and he needs a lot of them. He would probably bring in Garcia as his QB
  13. Brandon's "own field" is baseball marketing. He is an expert in selling the cheapest team in the league from his time with the Marlins
  14. The beauty of the Bills front office is that no one person is responsible, so therefore no one is accountable. Marv can be trotted out as the convenient scape goat when things get hot.
  15. they gave up almost 500 yards to a team with no healthy RBs. they were one dimensional and the Bills hardly slowed them down. NE will not stall in the redzone
  16. Replacing Dick with Russ Grimm or Kirk Ferentz, both former OL coaches, would really change the importance placed on the OL, both in terms of performance and talent evaluation and acquisiton.
  17. be serious- that tripe is far below what Brandon would publish He really is good at spinning the company line - his campaign to destroy Jason Peters has been masterful too bad his time with the Marlins did nothing to qualify him with any football expertise.
  18. of course Peters will hold out Brandon promised to re-do his deal this year to get Peters to show up. it's week 17 and no deal. it's all but guaranteed Peters won't show up next year until he gets a new deal. Of course, if we had a real football guy as GM, Peters would have a new deal in January paying him like a pro bowl LT. But Brandon is in charge and he will use the Peters circus next year to divert attention from the product on the field. Then he will claim the lack of Peters or less than stellar performance was the cause of yet another non-playoff year.
  19. Johnson is not tall enough everyone knows only tall WRs are any good - which is why the Bills used a premium #2 pick on a tall guy with no skills other than being tall. if somehow Johnson can add a few inches, then he may qualify as being good.
  20. with poor talent evaluators in the front office and Dick's track record of personnel decisions, don;t count on the Bills adding any signicant play-makers any time soon.
  21. that's what message boards are for - for Brandon's staff to push the team's propaganda under various user names - .
  22. The real interesting thing about Brandon is that he developed his marketing genius as head of spin control for the cheapest organization in all of pro sports - the Florida Marlins BASEBALL team. As noted in Larry Felser's article, the Bills problems have all historically been rooted in Ralph's misguided adventures with hiring non-football people to run his team. It's bad enough to put a marketing guy in charge, but when his background is baseball, the writing is on the wall as to what the focus of the Bills is (and it sure isn't building a contender)
  23. so if Dick stays, who is going to hire the new coordintors?? the same Dick that has never hired a successful offensive coordinator in his NFL coaching life?? (well- maybe offensive, but not very good) or maybe the coordiantors are OK, it's just that Dick meddles too much?? either way - having Dick involved is a recipe for continuing ineptness
  24. my guess is Parcells petitioned the league to play the Bills in Toronto as payback for the mudbowl in Wembly the year before.
  25. like I said - a product of the propoganda from OBD they didn't know what he wanted - sure, this one is the biggest indictment of the low IQ level of Bills fans. Brandon knew full well what Peters wanted - he found out when in January when he told Peters he would not be getting his deal re-done
