  1. Manny Lawson is a pretty good player. Not sure why people don't see that. Everyone just remembers the 4th down against kc.
  2. He's played like two games! You definitely kick the tires on the guy if he can be had for cheap.
  3. We'll be playing them in the AFC championship
  4. Ya man...screw Tom Brady. Give me EJ Manuel and his regularly-inflated balls any day of the week.
  5. Who really cares though? This is such an insignificant topic. I, for one, appreciate her honesty. And I think she's pretty good in interviews. Much better than Terry Pegula, anyway.
  6. Thought about it... Still hate Marrone more
  7. The NFL is not a team game, as much as they'd love to preach that. It's all about the QB. Put Luck on this year's Bills, and we probably win the Super Bowl.
  8. If I had one wish for Bills fans it would be to appreciate the talent of Fred Jackson. With the clown show he's had to deal with around him in terms of coaching/qbs/oline, and for him to have done as well as he's done is nothing short of miraculous. I almost wish he was the one traded to Seattle instead of Lynch so he could get the recognition he deserves.
  9. Business comes before fair play in today's NFL. Too much money involved. Its unfortunate, but even if they did cheat, nothing will come of this, I would imagine.
  10. Hated among jets fans. Hated among raiders fans (his previous post). Third time's a charm?
  11. I hated this guy from day one. So happy this is going down the way it is. Good riddance, you disingenuous prick.
  12. They just need to revisit the rules and de-emphasize the passing game a tad while keeping the sport as safe as can be. Not sure how that would work. The way it is now, you can't say football is the ultimate team game (not sure you ever could, actually). There is way too much emphasis on the QB position.
  13. Stevie tweeted this out after the Raiders game and again after the Rex (and Roman) hire were announced: https://twitter.com/StevieJohnson13/status/554301711624318978 My guess is he's making fun of the Bills but I don't really get it. Any ideas what it means?
  14. "Everything about Jan's Smoke Shop.....is smokin!" Stick two ice picks in my ears, please.
  15. Hahaha...post of the day Seriously, lee smith looks like a guy who won a contest to be a football player. I'll never forget him tripping over the 5 yard line on that easy lob pass from EJ.
  16. Not saying he does or doesn't. I'm saying none of those coordinators had a decent QB to work with. And Ryan/Roman don't have one here either for that matter. But Rex is one of the few coaches in recent memory to make some noise in the playoffs with a bad QB. Granted that was a few years ago now, but I am optimistic about this choice. I'm curious as to who you would have preferred and why.
  17. Easy there, Debbie downer. Look at the QBs he's had to work with in new york. One of them was mark sanchez. He went to the playoffs with him. Twice. The same guy who looked no better this year under an "offensive guru" who I'm sure you, and most of the board, would have creamed their shorts over had he been hired instead of Rex. Truth is, the bills offense is probably going to suck again next year unless they get lucky at the QB position. And no hot shot offensive coordinator flavour of the week would have been able to do anything about it.
  18. No, him and Richardson are more of those hybrid ends/tackles. They get their sacks, but neither of them can do what Mario can.
  19. This defense is good because of the players mostly. And that will be the case again next year. But if you look at their histories, Rex has a much better track record. Schwartz had some lean years in Tennessee. And another thing...perhaps I'm just drawing a blank but when was the last time a Rex Ryan defense had a star pass rusher like Mario? Or even Hughes for that matter? Be excited for this defense, people. This could be something special. The offense on the other hand...
  20. I have my doubts that Schwartz would have been here after next year if he didn't get the hc gig. This is the right move for the long term. The defense is going to be excellent again, assuming no big injuries. The big question mark is greg roman and the offense.
  21. http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/nfl/180974-greg-roman-signs-bills/ Niners fans don't seem to be too upset about this...
  22. http://www.torontosun.com/2011/11/05/rex-ryan-bleeds-blue-and-white I like him even more now.
  23. This might be just as important as the head coach hire. Doesn't seem like he was well thought of in San Fran. http://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/179586-greg-roman-coordinator-hire/page295/
