  1. Disheartening, to say the least. My hope is that he either up and quits for his dream job in Carolina that has opened up or failing that, Allen has a chat with Pegula and tells him "it's him or me".
  2. In the small chance his lady friend reads this thread, in the future just put a rickety chair in between the two of you and he'll just jog ten yards around it and won't get near you.
  3. They can. It just gets a lot harder when you also have to beat your own coach and the refs.
  4. Need to change this to the 8 wonders of the world or some other earthly phenomenon with a higher multiple.
  5. I had a bit of a different approach to overtime. The loser of the coin toss picks a yard line. The winner then chooses to take the ball from that point or have the other team start from the corresponding yard line on their end of the field. No kick-off. No ties. First score wins. The equilibrium point would be different for different teams based on which side of the ball they felt stronger about.
  6. Josh is better than Mahomes. I'm sure I'll get called a homer for that but you give Allen one year of Andy Reid designing plays for him with receivers running wide open on every play, he'd break every QB record in the books. It really can't be overstated how much of a coaching disadvantage Josh Allen has had in his career. Daboll and Dorsey aren't exactly offensive geniuses. And more importantly, he's had to deal with his idiot head coach constantly crapping all over himself at the ends of close games.
  7. Not sure I agree with this. They were covering up the short passes just fine up until late in the game. Orlovsky makes a valid point here. The biggest adjustment Philly made in the second half was getting those stretch runs working. That opened up the deeper shots to Smith.
  8. If I had to guess, I think that catch and run by tyreek hill in the 13 seconds game (right before the final Davis TD) has given McDoormat PTSD. Ever since then he is so terrified of giving up a long TD that he concedes yards at the ends of close games to the point where he's willing to give up a field goal attempt and take his chances. Granted, yesterday's kick was borderline miraculous, but it still shouldn't have gotten to that point.
  9. I see your point. And it does make sense to a certain extent. But a 48 yard field goal attempt for Bass..you have to think that's almost automatic even with the rain. The result of the play was a backbreaker but not the decision, imo.
  10. You wanted him to punt it from the opposing 31 yard line? I think we've found the one guy who thinks McDermott is too aggressive out there.
  11. No he's not. The Bills were 7-9 the year before he took over, not a basement-dweller. Let's not re-write history here.
  12. I can't believe that after everything we've seen from this guy that there are still McDermott fans here. The drought really has given some of you lifelong PTSD.
  13. First part, agreed. But give Allen a competent coach and we've probably already won a super bowl. I can't see how you can include him in that conversation. How many times has he left the field after giving the team a lead in the final minute only to have his idiot coach and his soft defense give it right back?
  14. James Cook is a prototypical drought-era Bill. Talented player, but a complete mental midget who will lose you a game with a critical mistake. You can't win with players like him.
  15. This is so patently obvious to anyone who doesn't have blinders on. People make it look like McDermott inherited an expansion team. They were 7-9 the year before he took over. He won a couple more games than Rex with a creampuff schedule and that team was actually worse than the team before it by many metrics. They proceeded to blow up the roster and rebuild and then lucked into a dynamo at QB. McDermott would be back in Carolina coaching defensive backs if it wasn't for Allen.
  16. Players like Cook and Philips lose games for you. A winning team can't employ players like that. No matter how talented they may or may not be.
  17. Anyone have any advice on the ideal place to watch a game while staying in Manhattan now that McFadden's closed? Heading out there in a few weeks. I've read the Penn 6 is the new spot but there are other options as well. Kelly's? Redds? Anyone here been to these places?
  18. Never understood this signing in the first place. It's not like they were losing to Chiefs in the playoffs because they couldn't get to Mahomes. The guy was getting rid of the ball so quickly that it didn't matter if you had prime Bruce Smith out there. Should have used that money to help the offense.
  19. Lots of reasons to love the guy. But one reason I hate him is that he's not only saved mcdumbass' job over the past few years, but he has most people convinced our idiot coach has had a hand in turning around the fortunes of this franchise when all he did was luck into a generational talent behind center. Yes, I turned this into a McDermott hate post. Not sorry.
  20. I can't tell if you're being serious. Their play styles are vastly different.
  21. Joe "Chad Pennington" Burrow is a system qb a la Tua. Not great at improvising. Don't think the dropoff to this jobber they have now will be too steep to overcome.
  22. Poor English. Reading comprehension problems. Yup, sounds like a Habs fan to me. Make sure you hydrate while eating those paint chips, bud.
