Strangely, tomorrow's game isn't even all that important anymore, relatively speaking. The game against KC is pretty much a playoff game. Lose, and I don't think we make it. The week after against the Texans is huge too. Win those two, and the one against the Jets and one of the NFC games, we should be good at 9-7. We do? Perhaps I'm missing a game or two, but we've won the last couple of times there, no? The season opening blowout a few years back. And another one before that with Trent lighting them up for 50+ points.

Refs admit wrong call at end of Jax/Ravens
QB Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I contemplated starting a thread about a really concerning play in the Bills game on Thursday. Did anyone notice that one play where they called for a first down measurement for the Jets and then didn't even extend the chains fully? It was completely ridiculous. I wish I could find it online. They measured for barely half a second and called it a first down when it was clearly short. -
We're on a one game winning streak there. It'll be a cakewalk, don't worry. As BADOL put it in another thread, jam the receivers and spread out the d-line and let them go to work after their patchwork o-line. I'd like to see Rex find his balls and throw in more blitzes too. We have the defensive backs to cover their guys man to man. Or don't do that and save that strategy for when we go to Foxboro in the playoffs.

[closed]The criticism of Tyrod Taylor
QB Bills replied to NextYearGuys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who's criticizing Tyrod? The only thing I've seen people say is that he needs to go through his progressions better, which is fair. But that's to be expected from a new QB. That and the fact that we've been burned before gives fans pause. But you really can't complain about how he's played so far, at least not objectively. -
What week does ESPN put out that playoff generator? I'm embarrassed of how much time I spend on that thing. edit: Yahoo already has one up, even though it starts at week 13! Goodbye productivity for today.. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoffscenario

Monday Night Football is a free swing - be aggressive!!
QB Bills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post OP. I was always under the impression that Rex was all about aggressive defense. I didn't expect this passive approach he's taken. We have the guys who can cover. We need to send more guys after the QB and dare teams to beat us deep. I'm wondering if there's some sort of disconnect between Rex and Dennis Thurman. Rex's most worrisome quote to me all year was when he was asked about this and said something to the effect of "well, if you press guys, then they beat you deep...what are we supposed to do?". Find your balls, Rex! -
All joking aside, if we do miss the playoffs by one game, then of course you can logically say that EJ blew the season for us that game by crapping all over himself. Obviously it depends on what happens the rest of the way though. Agreed. But not to get too far ahead, getting that 5th seed as opposed to 6th would make the difference between playing at indy instead of playing at one of ne/den/cincy.

He's better than Gilmore already.
-
It's unreal to me that anyone would actually lament the loss of this awful football player. What do you miss more? The soul-crushing interceptions, or the ball slipping out of his baby-sized hands when he tried to put a little extra on his throw? He seems like a nice guy, but I hated him as a QB. You just knew that the team was going nowhere as long as he remained behind center.

PASS PROTECT FILM REV- WEEK 8 MIA-MILLER STRUGGLES
QB Bills replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the post, as always. I can't understand stand why they left miller one on one against suh. That's just poor coaching. Can't really blame the guy. Suh is a dominant force when he wants to be. Wood should have been helping with the double team there. -
Cleveland and Minnesota would be huge. Denver and Cincinnati would also help. The rest are next to irrelevant, realistically speaking.
-
What kind of nonsense is this? Fitzpatrick is and always has been a garbage QB and the definition of anti-clutch. Give me an example of him willing a team to victory and I'll give you 2 of him blowing a game with a late interception or fumble.
-
Doug: Great game Sammy. Where's Jerry? Sammy: 15 yards behind us. He got flagged again. (both look back) Doug: Yup, there he is.
-
I hear you, but being who he is will get him injured sooner or later. I think he needs to be smarter about avoiding hits. The coaches need to stress this also. For example, the play in Tennessee on that long 3rd down conversion, he already had the first down after scrambling then went for an extra few yards and get bent over backwards. Completely unnecessary. He's got a lot of talent and a great attitude, and has only started 6 games in his career (less than half of EJ). The sky's the limit for the guy but he has to do everything in his power to stay on the field.
-
Yes, he was sliding. Face first and at the last second, where defenders can still roll up on him without worrying about a late hit penalty. That's not a recipe for staying healthy. If you read what I wrote, I said that he needs to learn how to slide.
-
He needs to learn how to avoid taking hits. He doesn't know how to slide and he doesn't get out of bounds when he should. If he gets hurt and we have to watch EJ crap all over himself again and kill our playoff hopes, I'm going to break my tv.

Rejoice! For Kiko Has Returned and the Legend Lives!
QB Bills replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They could easily have had mccoy AND kiko this year. The fact that Philly called them and they completed the deal in 20 minutes tells you how eager chip kelly was to get rid of him. A linebacker who can cover is just what this defense is missing right now. We had one of the better ones in the league and gave him away. -
Brian Moorman is "leading the charge" vs Miami
QB Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was at one point the fastest guy on the team apparently. Might have been a punter, but that doesn't mean he wasn't a great athlete in his own right. They should have ran more fake punts with him.
