  1. Yup. It is just you. Congrats fellow Bills fan, but know you'll never know how this felt for more invested fans if you think it's "whimpy" to get emotional over this.
  2. This thread exists. THIS THREAD F'N EXISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to 26CB, Yolo, etc. for all your contributions over all this time. Don't even know how to articulate this all. Let's just embrace the moment. Happy new year everyone!!
  3. Up at 3:30 am with a severe case of anxiety/hopefulness/fear/anticipation. In all seriousness, the team actually kind of sucks. Not really much better than the average bills team throughout the drought. But dammit if I'm not ecstatic about the possibility of a playoff game. Go Bills!
  4. The simple answer is that football players are pussies.
  5. Been busy so I still haven't gotten around to watching that game yet. No spoilers!
  6. I suspect if we had hired McVay/Wade and kept Sammy/Darby/Dareus, we'd be winning the AFC east and anointing Tyrod as the franchise QB we've been waiting for. But no, Russ and the Pegs' chose wrong. Again. Hell, even if we'd had Benjamin from the beginning of the year, we'd be in the playoffs already. Funny how Tyrod never "throws guys open" or "trusts his receiver on a 50/50 ball" until he gets a receiver worth a damn. Maybe it's not Taylor? Maybe it's the practice squad rejects he's had to work with this year along with an OC who is completely lost now that he doesn't have Kubiak's teet to nurse on. No, it's just easier to blame the QB without any context so let's stick with that.
  7. And this board is littered with threads on QBs for next year and PEOPLE {idiots} complaining about Tyrod. What happened to this place? There have been a couple of good posters come over from BBMB but it seems as they've been vastly outnumbered by the mouth-breathing table jumpers. That can't be all of it though. I think the Bills have finally broken some of you when I read that you'd rather miss the playoffs than get knocked out in the first round if Tyrod is the QB. We have a realistic shot at the postseason for the first time in forever and there is zero buzz around here. What's the deal? EDITED by Moderator. No Name Calling.
  8. It wasn't a catch by the letter of the law. Get over it. Having said that, neither was Cooks' catch against the Texans that gave the Patriots that win earlier this season. The inconsistency of it all is what's maddening. Also, almost every fan is missing the point of the catch rule. It's written up that way to take out as much subjectivity as possible on what a catch is and what is not. Otherwise, you'd have all sorts of scenarios where a ref would have to use his "common sense". And I don't want to give that much power to an Ed Hochuli in a Bills game that may matter sometime.
  9. The Titans game today matters because if they lose, then lose again next week we don't beat the Chargers in a 9-7 tiebreak. If the the Chargers win their last two, which they probably will, and we lose today, which we probably will, we need the Titans to finish 9-7 with a win today and a loss next week. Simply put, you want the Titans and Chargers to have the same result today. Either they both win. Or they both lose.
  10. Spoken like someone who doesn't understand the tie breaking scenarios in the NFL
  11. Probably the best case scenario assuming we lose this week is Colts and dolphins winning. That means we beat Miami next week and we are in pretty much regardless of what else happens.
  12. Apparently the game he played against the Steelers (where Stevie dropped the ot pass) was one of the all-time greatest games ever played by a defensive lineman, according to some fancy stats. Hopefully he's back next season, but it doesn't look likely with how he was acting leaving the field yesterday.
  13. No offense, but if that's your opinion then your opinion sucks. I want to see them in a playoff game as should any real fan at this point. Only a complete fool would hope for anything else while sitting at 8-6.
  14. Brain fart. I meant the Titans loss today hurts us.
  15. The way it's looking now is that the ravens and chargers will make it and the bills and titans are on the outside looking in. This is assuming we lose next week and beat Miami week 17. And that the chiefs win one of their final two (home dolphins, at broncos) This changes if: 1. the titans beat the rams next week or 2. the chargers lose one of their last two (at jets, home raiders) or 3. ravens lose one of their last two (home colts, home bengals) this is why that titans loss today sucked so badly for the bills...we need them to go 9-7 just as badly as we need to go 9-7, with that 9th win not being against an afc team because there's a good chance the ravens and chargers are going 4-0 the next two weeks
  16. yup..can't be overstated enough how much better it would have been had the titans not choked the game away against the niners earlier today
  17. After going through the NYT simulator, it just hit me that I was cheering for the wrong team a little over an hour ago. Needed the Titans to win that game in SF. It's a longshot now, but we would have been in good shape if the Titans could have held on. Garoppolo to Goodwin got them in fg range...ouch.
  18. Not all 11 guys are receivers on the hands team. His job is to let the ball go by him while he holds the kicking team at bay. I hate Crossman as much as anyone, but this one is all on stupid Preston Brown. You can't be a winning team with dumb players like that. Hopefully he's gone after this season.
  19. Not Taylor's fault. He can put up points if Dennison had any clue on how to use him. He's done it in the past. The team's downfall is coaching. Again. For example, how would Tom Brady do in a wildcat or read/option offense?
  20. Any scenario involving the bills going into new england and beating them in a late season game that the Pats need is just not rooted in reality. No way they win that game unless something completely unforeseen happens. I'm as hopeful as anyone, but to be completely objective, the team has gotten worse as the year has progressed, which is a bad sign for this coaching staff. I really don't see them beating Miami twice. Maybe not even once. Let alone the Patriots. You never know though, I guess.
  21. Do we have a new insider? Where do you rank on a scale from Leroi to Nevergiveup?
  22. Glad you remembered that. That was ridiculous. He looked/spoke like a certified lunatic. There's zero chance he was sober at that moment.
  23. Get embarrassed playing the Jaguars or titans? You should watch more football.
  24. Not sure how or why it happened but this site has gotten exponentially worse since it did.
