  1. Really? I think he's been the one weak link on the defense. That whiff on the Newton scramble is probably the worst play I've seen a LB make in a little while.
  2. To each his own, but I think watching a great defense that plays aggressive, hits hard and creates turnovers is more exciting than a prolific offense. Everyone has their own taste though. I bet you'd love the CFL.
  3. Fine, I'll say it. He is a top 10 qb. Look at what he's had to work with at receiver last year and this year. Look at how crappy the pass protection is with this o-line. They took away any deep threats, thereby negating one of his best weapons. He's had to work with a different coordinator every year he's been here. And this year, we've got another run, run, pass specialist. His scrambling ability is the best in the league. He rarely makes big mistakes in terms of turnovers. All of these things factored in, I'd place him as a top 10 qb. Fans who trash him just don't watch other QBs with the same critical eye.
  4. To those who opposes the OP's view, what are your thoughts on Tyrod? Not as a wall of fame candidate, but just whether you think he is good, with the potential to be great or whether you think he sucks with the potential to be average at best. Kind of a tbd litmus test.
  5. Kyle Orton looks like he could have been the ugly older brother of Pacho from Narcos
  6. If home field counts as 3 points, then on an even field, the oddsmakers think we'd have a better shot against the Falcons than the Broncos. Interesting.
  7. I wonder if the coaches will rub each other's head for good luck before kickoff.
  8. Sammy is light years ahead of Zay Jones in terms of talent though.
  9. Not a coincidence when you are bad at hiring people to run your team. It's incompetence, not coincidence.
  10. It's funny to me that people justify the trade to ship him out the same way other fans justify the draft day trade to get him. Draft day: great trade because we were going to draft Ebron Trade to rams: great trade because we weren't going to pay him So basically fans consider these to be shrewd moves by the front office because that same front office was first stupidly going to take Ebron over obj and then secondly, stupidly not going to pay market value for an elite talent like Sammy after stupidly not picking up his option. The circular logic can make your head spin.
  11. I'll summarize: It's easy to play qb in the NFL when your coaches can manipulate the helmet microphone and tell you where to throw the ball. I couldn't read a defense to save my life at Michigan but won a super bowl in my first year starting in the pros.
  12. Seven guys blocking 4 rushers. Nice job Dennison. Although you're right, he might have had what looks like Kaelen Clay (not Jones) up top for the TD.
  13. It's great news that McDermott acknowledges that there's a problem. It's terrible news if he thinks it's just the receivers and not the awful game plan from Dennison. The OC is going to cost us a playoff berth in a weak AFC this season unless something changes quickly.
  14. Where have you seen this? Was it reported somewhere?
  15. great view of the play...they were a tripped foot away from stealing this game https://www.facebook.com/justin.manuele/videos/10214451746875474/
  16. This is exactly right. Only one player shouldered the blame for the play and it wasn't Tyrod. And I highly doubt Taylor would have not admitted to fault if he was to blame in any way. Reading between the lines, this one's on Zay and the route he ran.
  17. Just perfect. I wish we could print this post out, wrap it around a rock and throw it through Dennison's office window.
  18. haha...not upset at all..it's just football you're just wrong about tyrod, that's all
  19. Milloy was just about done. Played a few more years on some bad defenses. Clements didn't live up to that contract in SF from what I recall. We went with the cheaper McGee and got lucky with Greer. So I can't fault them too much for that. I remember they were in love with Patrick Willis but he went right before Lynch. So Fletcher turned out to be a big loss, and even Spikes to a lesser extent. Their issue was not having a QB nor a decent offensive coach on the staff. The defense was not dominant by any means, but they were good enough. The FO just couldn't and/or wouldn't assemble an offense.
  20. Bahaha...you added that horribly uncreative nickname to your sig line now? Dude, did Tyrod hit on your mom or something? Relax
  21. Jauron gets a lot of hate here because of his personality, but he took some dog-turd rosters to 7 win seasons. In retrospect it hurt their draft picks, but he's not as bad as he's made out to be.
  22. Be completely honest. With a perfectly timed throw to either of them, do they make the first down? They'd have been met by a defender before the sticks without a chance to beat them. He's being handcuffed by awful playcalling. You just don't like him and your opinion is coloured by that.
  23. I'm guessing you wish he threw to Matthews. Where he would have been tackled as soon as he caught it. They ended up getting just as many yards, if not a couple more with the pass to McCoy. If that was third down, which I believe it was, it was an awful play call and Taylor absolutely made the right play to try and get a first down.
