Holy crap Daboll interview
QB Bills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that this is even a possibility at this point, but I'd rather keep Daboll over McDermott if one has to go. I think in time, keeping the Clapmaster while letting Daboll walk will end up looking like a foolish decision. -
Kind of unrelated, but does anyone remember that Clapmaster 2000 wouldn't even play Milano when he first got here even though it was clear to most fans that he was their best linebacker? Reminiscent of the Fred Jackson, Jabari Greer, etc. situations.

He played on the Panthers so by rule he has to sign here. How will he look as cb2 opposite Tre? I don't know enough about him

"That was a real good poop, man. Real good poop. This what we talk about every week, man. It's hard to poop in the NFL. You earned it today. Playoff caliber, man."

Interesting Daboll/Beasley tidbit
QB Bills replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't really see the game that way. If the Bills did the things you're saying they didn't do, KC would have just passed their way to a victory. The score was a lot closer than the game itself. There's been a lot of chatter about how McDermott's gameplan was to keep it close, but the better gameplan was KC's proverbial carrot dangling in front of the horse. Making the opponent think they're within striking distance when they really had no shot. They didn't pass because they were in control of the game from the outset and didn't need to. Why bother when you're getting 9 yards a clip by handing it to an undersized rookie with a decimated offensive line? -
Interesting Daboll/Beasley tidbit
QB Bills replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never understood this line of thinking. Who cares about "identity"? I'd much rather prefer an offense to demonstrate that they can beat you in any way they see fit. Kind of like what KC did on Monday. -
Honest question to all the McBeane fans. What is the path to playoff success here? Not just this year, but going forward. What gives you hope that these two are the guys that will lead the Bills to beat the top teams when it matters. Because it seems to me that the drought has warped the minds of fans to think getting into the playoffs is some major achievement. Newsflash, lots of crap teams (other than ours) have made the playoffs and proceeded to soil themselves since the turn of the century. The Bills of the last three years are no different. This team is a lot closer to being really bad than it is to challenging for the Super Bowl. McDermott is too much of a wimp to have big time success in today's NFL. Coaching scared only works if you have oodles of talent and play mistake free football. Neither of those things are true in Buffalo.

Trouble in Paradise! Diggs sulking on the final drive
QB Bills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was a terrible look. But good on him for not sulking on the sidelines I suppose. Also, he should have probably caught that deep pass in the end zone early on. Btw, Justin Jefferson went 9/166 and two TDs yesterday. Just saying.. -
It's crazy to me how many people are ready to run Knox out of town. He's had a grand total of 12 targets this year. He's really talented and has shown the ability to make plays like no other tight end the Bills have had in the decades I've been watching this team. He's young and raw, and with what he can potentially bring to the table, that talent needs to be nurtured. It'd be understandable if he was a vet but he's only 23 years old! Give the kid a chance. I'd rather find out for sure that he's a bust here than see him become a superstar somewhere else because the Bills cut bait on him too early.
-
Dude, it's been 5 games. And he's only been healthy for half of them.

Is it time to admit Ryan Tannehill is pretty good?
QB Bills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not good. He's in the best situation a player of his limited ability can be in. Look at his stats against good teams last year. Also, the way he's always smiling like an idiot before he's snapped the ball really annoys me. -
He's terrible at his job, but he's winning life by getting paid to talk about his favourite team. It's pathetic how he sucks up to the Bills players and staff and defends them from any kind of criticism, but at least he shows enthusiasm, which is more than you can say for that creep Chris Brown. He's basically the mouthpiece for all the homer fans on this board who hate guys like Mike Schopp and Jeremy White.
-
He's a young player who has showed flashes of elite athleticism. But sure, let's get rid of the guy. His issue is between the ears, not having stone hands. Whether he gets over that or not remains to be seen but it's far too early to cut bait on him. If he turns it around, he can be one of the best tight ends in the league. A good team doesn't get rid of guys like that this early.

I'm one the first to say that blaming the refs is a cop out and is usually done by fans with blinders on but this is getting ridiculous now. How can the officials watch the replay on the illegal forward pass and not see that Tannehill was well past the line of scrimmage? That was the most egregious one. But there were a few others that were real head scratchers. The illegal shift, the phantom PI on Norman, the missed facemask on Singletary. The one that really irked me was the offside call on Epenesa on 3rd and 7. I don't understand how refs call that play dead and penalize the Bills 5 yards when teams are constantly jumping into the neutral zone on Allen's hard counts and allowed to reset. It's not like a Tennessee lineman even did that stupid pointing out thing. I've noticed it a few times now. Maybe I just don't understand the rule, but why is it than when the Bills jump, it's immediately blown dead and they get penalized but when the opposition does it, there's no stoppage?

Dipshi** can't even count to 4 without Belichick. The ultimate system QB. Should have retired after last year.

Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
QB Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The flip side of this is if there are positive tests out of Tennessee tomorrow and the game gets cancelled/postponed, it's the Chiefs who are getting shafted by going against a well-rested Bills team -
Anyone Else Having Trouble Dealing with this Success?
QB Bills replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm in the same boat. BBFS is not letting me convince myself that they are actually a good team. All these years of terrible football has left a permanent scar. -
Zay Jones - What If He Played With This Josh Allen?
QB Bills replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jay Zones is great at picking himself off the ground in that unique way. He pretty much sucks at everything else. -
Could Josh Norman be the missing link?
QB Bills replied to Penfield45's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Luckily he didn't retire at halftime. That forced fumble in the second half was needed. Also, he kinda reminds me of Ol' Dirty Bastard -
A Saints player just tested positive for COVID
QB Bills replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The way this is going, it doesn't look like they'll be able to finish the season. It's only week 4 and things are getting chaotic. If course it had to happen when the Bills are finally good. -
This is crazy. It's been three games and the majority of fans here are saying Allen is a top 5 QB? And some think he's better than Rodgers? That's borderline insanity. Not saying he won't get there eventually, but let's pump the brakes here a bit. It wasn't that long ago that Trent Edwards was supposed to be the MVP of the year after starting out 4-1.

Clearly, Kroft should start at tight end now
QB Bills replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No way. Knox has the potential to be a star in the league.
