QB Bills

The drought has emotionally scarred many Bills fans. We're finally a good team and people are afraid of any kind of big change for fear that we'll go back to being an afterthought. The reasons for keeping McDermott are all backwards looking in that sense. Some of you need to dream bigger. From what I've seen the past few years are seasons with the most naturally gifted player at the most important position in his prime being wasted. I was screaming to fire McDermott after the first KC playoff loss after it became clear to me that we would only ever win big in spite of him. It sucks when you just wish your coach won't get in the way. I don't have any confidence that we'll ever have a head coaching advantage in any big game. I'd rather we turn the page sooner instead of having this same conversation a year from now with another season of Allen getting beat up.

I know everyone is still upset about that no-show against Cincinnati but what is going on with this fire Leslie Frazier movement? Don't know whether he's a good coordinator or not, but I've come to realize that his best quality is to take bullets for his incompetent boss. Do fans not realize that McDermott is running the show on that side of the ball? Can you imagine if the Chiefs' offense continually crapped the bed in the playoffs and people said "you know who needs to go? Bienemy. He's really making Andy Reid look bad." Would anyone take that person seriously?

That sucks. Really wanted Allen and the Bills to crush him once before he retired. Never thought he was the most talented QB but definitely the most accomplished player of all time. How much of that success was obtained fairly, we'll probably never know.

Did they add a hot dog eating contest to this year's activities? That's the only way this makes sense.

Its possible there was an inexcusable equipment blunder that we may never hear about. Look at the way Cook was running compared to Mixon. It's like our guys were on skates.

Was a pretty tame post actually. Not sure if you're overly sensitive or just deflecting because of how much of a buffoon you've come across as in this thread. The heart/3 was in support of their teammate who almost died on the field in front of them. He is mocking that. There's nothing said on this board that can't be justly countered with "relax, it's just a game". It's a lazy reply that contributes nothing to the discussion. I care. And so do some other Bills fans it seems. And making light of a guy who was briefly dead on the field in front of him isn't innocuous in my opinion, but you do you. For the life of me, I really don't get your schtick. You spend most of your time on this board criticizing others' posts on how irrelevant or unimportant they are. Most of us get that we cheer for laundry and this isn't anything more than a hobby. You seem to be constantly advertising this enlightenment though. Why? Sticking with the hockey theme, it dawned on me that this Bills team is kind of like the Leafs in all the wrong ways. Talented and likable, but soft and not able to step up when the games count. They both need a little sandpaper on their rosters. I unabashedly cheer for both and think I should seek therapy at this point.

I have my doubts we were winning that Monday night game against Cincy so we might have gotten lucky too.

Not a popular take, I'm sure, but I would prefer the Bills go into KC rather than play a neutral site game. We've beaten them 2 out of 3 times there and for that 3rd one, well..you know. Would also love to go into Cincy the week before and beat them there too. Just to avoid any kind of doubt who the actual best team in the league is. If that means losing this week, then so be it.

There's no way he'd come back if there was a risk he could make it worse. Not only would he not risk it, but there's no way the team doctors would let him. There's too much money involved in the sport now. He wants to make it and the Bills don't want to be sued and give it up. All this "I hope he doesn't play because I care about him" stuff is ridiculous. If he thinks he can play and the doctors clear him, more power to the guy. We certainly could use him.
