What to expect BILLS vs PATRIOTS
QB Bills replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo wouldn't even be playing a featured game on opening weekend if it wasn't for T.O. And the ESPN commentators are pretty good and entertaining. -
And the word is spelled "humourous", you illiterate yankees!

Good post, man. Logic does have a place here, regardless of how it may seem sometimes. What you're saying is the likelier scenario, I would have to admit, but the reason why people here aren't discussing it much is simply because the end result is us missing the playoffs. Again. Meaning, worst case scenario is that we're not really any worse off this time next year as we have been the last 9 years. On the off chance that you are wrong, or even if you are right, but he still helps the Bills make the playoffs, it will be a successful venture.

The Consummate Professional:
QB Bills replied to UpstateSwagger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where do you get this from? I've heard from many people that he has to 'improve his route running'. Am I missing something here? How do you know what route he was supposed to run, and if he ran it correctly or not? I don't remember all of his plays being iso'd. Just seems like a general blanket statement people come up with when they have to figure out why a receiver isn't putting up numbers. What I witnessed about the former #81 this year: 1. Wasn't thrown to enough. No matter how crappy a receiver he may be according to some here, there's no reason why he should have ended up with only 9 catches on a team this thin at WR. 2. Looked bad on two consecutive deep balls thrown to him against the Rams (perhaps the main reason he's been labelled as someone who didn't 'fight for the ball'). Both of which were woefully underthrown by Edwards and would have been difficult catches even for a vet. 3. Made two great TD catches. First one against Jax, pass that came a bit too late, but he still adjusted. The second against New England was in garbage time, and behind him, but he made a really good adjustment at the end. This team really needed to grow some balls and air the ball out. Whether that is the fault of the coaching staff or Edwards, they pretty much beat themselves most weeks by not trying to stretch the field. I almost hope T.O. blows up on these fools early this year if things are still the same. -
I think it's great. Irrelevance is worse than being hated.

Anyone concerned about EDWARDS this season
QB Bills replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geez...give this lame moniker a rest. Why couldn't your father have worn a glove? -
I think your helmet is on too tight. The Bills don't play the Cowboys this year, and that is not a conspiracy...it's the way the schedule is set up. And it isn't being set up to give the Pats an advantage against the Bills. In case you haven't noticed, they haven't really needed it lately. As for the commentators, Jaworski is a bills fan, and Tirico and Kornheiser have given no indication of NE 'ball washing' and in the last two monday nighters at Buffalo have actually praised the Bills more than the opponent. I actually like that broadcasting team, not sure why people don't. You're thinking of Joe Theismann verbally fellating Bruschi. He's doesn't do those games anymore. I think this is great news. Sure the Bills usually stink it up in primetime, but they've been doing that a lot no matter what time they play. The atmosphere and excitement ratchets up quite a bit when you're playing on monday night.

Garcia is gay? Have you seen his wife? Can't believe a guy that looks like Boggs from Shawshank could score a girl like that. -

I believe you just suffered a premature evaluation. Don't worry...happens to the best of us. -
Jeez, can you please find a place on the net that is more suitable to your level of intellect? We all get a little dumber after reading your latest inane post. Or you could go back to riding the gear shift on your aston martin. Just make sure it's in park.

Great X-Files reference! His character was apparantly killed when the show ended in 2002. Seeing as how the Bills still haven't won the super bowl, I think he somehow escaped.
-
Well that's great news. I figured Ralph would ask you before the Bills decided, so it's wonderful that you don't care which game it is. Thanks, you xenophobic douche. Us 'dumb canucks' are eternally grateful to Homo the Robot.

This is hilarious. Is he really this much of a buffoon?
-
Indeed...we are fans, we're allowed to dream. Beating the cowboys in the super bowl...I could get gonorrhea, herpes and a kidney stone the next day and still be the happiest guy in the world.

Guessing you're the bastard child of the Hardy family that had to pay double. -

Ya, the 4 people in the world who bought Hardy jerseys are going to be quite pissed about that one. Luckily they are all in his family. Besides, Hardy made them buy them at gunpoint. -
Greer is gone in another bonehead move by the inner circle of squares (I'm copyrighting that one). It would be one thing if he was getting 8 million a year, but at under 6/year, he should have been resigned for sure. Unfortunate truths: 1. He was easily the best corner on the team last year. Just because McGee is #1 on the madden 09 depth chart doesn't mean squat. I don't know how anyone can think otherwise if you watched the games...he played some of the best defense I've seen a corner play on this team in a long time. 2. He was not always "covering the other team's #2 receiver". The Bills defensive scheme (don't laugh) doesn't work that way. He lined up against the top receiver on the other team just as often as McGee. 3. McGee will walk next year...no way they will be able to sign him for what Greer got from the Saints. McGee has the notoriety and is a good kick returner, while Greer is still a relative unknown (not for long though). 4. The Bills know all of this and have been preparing to lose Greer and McGee in consecutive years anyway. They are happy with McKelvin/Youboty/Florence/Corner. Guess it could work out...the top 2 are good players also. 5. God, I hate this f'ing team sometimes. Anyway, good luck to Jabari...the guy was a class act and a really good player the time he was here. The saints got a steal, IMHO.

umm... Dockery was our best O-Lineman

umm... Dockery was our best O-Lineman
QB Bills replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In cases like this, people usually overreact to how good or how bad a player was. In regards to Dockery, I don't think you can overstate how pathetic this tub of lard was. He was the worst starting player on the offense (apologies to Robert Royal). I can't even fathom how someone who watched the games could think he was our best lineman. Maybe he is talented and just wasn't motivated, I don't know. But the last couple of years that he was here, he was completely useless. -
That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read on this message board. Unless you were joking. In that case, ha & ha

Just watched it also. Damn that is depressing. What an unbelievable team that was though.
