  1. He doesn't come across well in this interview. If a few of you could take off the rose coloured glasses, you'd see that too. He hasn't won anything yet so let's hold off on the comparisons to QBs getting drunk after winning a super bowl. That only makes it look worse.
  2. You're right to be concerned about the direction the team is taking. Ignore the pompom waving crowd here. I'm not optimistic about their chances this year either. The roster has been going sideways at best for the last couple of years. The head coach is afraid of his own shadow at crunch time. And some key cogs on the defense are aging and/or coming back from injury. They haven't hit big on a draft pick since 2018. But they do have Allen and you always have a shot to win it all with him. The margin is getting thinner by the season though.
  3. So if this is accurate, he was in on a potentially terrible backup qb but not on Josh Jones or Isaiah Simmons. Good stuff, Beane. Real finger on the pulse of the team here.
  4. And option to buy tickets outside of the usual StubHub, seatgeek, etc. scams is a great idea imo. All for it.
  5. That is actually the opposite of what they should have done. They shouldn't have rushed anyone. Eleven guys drop back and the game is over. Simple situational football that McDermott totally botched.
  6. I watched a few Philly games and the guy has all day to throw and goes through his reads so slowly. Eventually a receiver is wide open and he hits him. Also, he's the only qb that plays the game needing only 8 yards for a first down, as he has a guaranteed 2 yards every time he sneaks it before getting touched. Roseman has created an excellent team and coaching staff so it sounds ridiculous to criticize him for that contract they gave hurts, but I think they'll come to regret that. Give any of the top QBs that surrounding staff and talent, in that conference with that schedule and they'd go undefeated.
  7. Lots of "fitz could win you a game", "fitz could beat anyone" Can we have some examples? Freddie won the Pats game, before anyone chimes in. Can the Fitzpatrick fans just be honest about why they love him more than Tyrod? Don't be ashamed.
  8. The fact that Ryan Fitzpatrick is revered here and Tyrod Taylor isn't should answer this question for you. Not very complicated.
  9. As a die-hard Bills and Leafs fan, this is a point that hits way too close to home.
  10. What a joke. This clown literally stole a potential super bowl from the team with that epic choke job in KC a couple of years ago and people still bow at his feet. He should have been fired on the spot right then and there. The drought really has scarred many of you from dreaming big. We lucked into the most naturally gifted QB in the league. The bare minimum should be a playoff spot. Clapmaster 2000 is the weakest link on this team. I had wished ownership could have seen this even if the pompom waving crowd couldn't.
  11. Thirteen seconds was not McDermott's fault. He said it himself after the game. It was "execution". Who wouldn't want to play for a great guy like that? Throws his players under the bus when it's him and his staff that blew it. Saying this clown is a great coach pretty much tells everyone you are not a knowledgeable nor objective fan. Which is fine. Not everyone is. You have the most naturally gifted player in the league at the most important position. Making the playoffs is the bare minimum right now. Yet the team is actually getting worse if you really look at it. They looked uninspired through most of the season starting with the Sunday nighter against green bay. They were lucky to beat the dolphins at home who were starting a 3rd stringer and then got blown out the following week. If the players look listless, that's at least partly on the coach. All this "leader of men" garbage flies out the window if you don't have Allen behind center. McDermott is Dick Jauron 2.0 who lucked into a great QB or he'd be a DB assistant in Carolina right now.
  12. Murph is actually one of the better local pxp guys out there. Some of you need to hear how amateur other teams' announcers are. Hope he is doing well and is in the booth week 1.
  13. Eagles give up a 4th to get a stud RB on a cheap contract (albeit one year). A pick they'll likely recoup as compensation when he leaves for free agency next year. We give up a 4th to move up two draft spots. Maybe the next trade we should make is Beane for Roseman?
  14. Damn, you were right. Sufficiently depressed now. What is the point of life if Josh Allen isn't part of this list?
  15. Was thinking the same thing. That one simple word is a great litmus test 🤣
  16. You have some of the worst takes on this board so this is totally on brand. Using team wins/losses to critque a receiver is about the laziest argument one can make. What did Calvin Johnson ever win? Guess he's overrated too.
  17. Did anyone else watch that and hope Josh would be the first white QB he picked? Alas he picks Dr Rodgers 🙄
  18. I remember a few people here were really high on Aaron Donald before the draft and said he was the best player in the class. Some may have even said he was a generational talent, but my memory is a bit foggy. I've always wondered who those people were and what made them think that as he wasn't even a top 10 selection. And also what other players they had strong opinions on.
  19. Ya, would suck to have the greatest coach of all time here. Let's stick with clapmaster 2000
  20. A few of mine: James Cook is a below average RB and is a significant step down from Motor. The biggest position of need on the team is the d-line and they should use their first round pick on a lineman (again). Ken Dorsey is a better playcaller than Brian Daboll. But Daboll knew how to coach Allen better. The Bills will never have a head coaching advantage in a playoff game under this regime.
  21. He can barely speak English. But then again, neither could Dan Dierdorf. You may be on to something here.
  22. Current job opening at OBD: Summary: Come in and be the face of a defense that you have no actual control over because it's run by the head coach, without saying as much to anyone. Qualifications: - ability to take misplaced blamed from fans who should know better - cover for head coach's idiotic and static defensive scheme - keep quiet and look around aimlessly when said head coach is wasting challenges and timeouts whilst figuratively $hitt**g all over himself in any pressure situation
  23. Mine would be a big hit by a defensive player, like the one Milano delivered on Mike White this year. It's the best part of football, imo, and it's becoming a rare event. Which is good for the players but not so much for the viewers.
  24. Not sure it's more Dorsey than it is McDermott. He mentioned a few times that some teams are particularly offensively minded. Seemed like more of a high level criticism than anything. Can't say I disagree with him.
