  1. Fred is still better than CJ. Yes, I said it. He's been getting the shaft his whole career here. All he does is produce more than whatever first round glamour pick is supposed to be better than him. I love Spiller's explosiveness and think he's a hell of a player, but Fred Jackson has the most unique ability of any running back I've seen here in a long time. He's not the fastest, nor the strongest, but he just gets it done. I think its a combination of elusiveness, patience, and just great football instincts.
  2. Awesome! Drew Magary is hilarious I sent one of those emails he's referencing
  3. This is the funniest series I've read on the internet in a while. Today they roast the Bills.. http://deadspin.com/why-your-team-sucks-2013-buffalo-bills-1221055397
  4. Gilmore really tied the D together.
  5. Great. Joe theismann is doing colour. He's the absolute worst. Wonder if he mentions tedy bruschi.
  6. Stevie.. http://www.nfl.com/videos/buffalo-bills/0ap2000000101298/Colts-defense-fumble-recovery
  7. Coming up this fall on buffalobills.com....the Leo and Kiko show, starring Leodis McKelvin and Kiko Alonso. Free tickets given out to those who can translate.
  8. Now that is just awesome. "Surely you must be joking." "No I'm not. And don't call me Shirley."
  9. Buddy's bro hug needs work. He had the "Did I just get violated?" look on his face.
  10. I like how he carries himself here. Confident, but not douchey.
  11. This is only partially true. Missing on a top 10 pick isn't as bad financially, granted. But, historically speaking, there are a few good players you have missed out on that get drafted within the next handful of picks you now don't have a chance in acquiring.
  12. Mini-byes...I like that term. Having said that...good teams don't B word about the schedule. I'd rather be a team that has a "bring them on" mentality than a "let's get them when they're tired/not ready" way of thinking.
  13. I see what you're saying, but reason has nothing to do with it. His job is to get his client the most money, regardless of where its coming from. Everyone thought it was ridiculous that Peters wanted to renegotiate and ask for as much money as he did. But he did eventually get it, so in terms of doing his job, Eugene Parker hit one out of the park.
  14. An agent's job is to get his client as much money as possible. Not to give a hometown discount to your favourite team. So, in terms of Jason Peters, he's a great agent. And if he can negotiate a long term deal for Byrd to make him the highest paid safety in the league, then he'll have done his job again. Seriously people, we have cap room, and the money is not coming out of your pocket. You need to stop looking at whether he's worth what he's asking and look at it who he's gonna be replaced with.
  15. Couldn't this be construed as good news? I mean, if he didn't want to be here, he could have just signed it and left next year, right? Instead, he wants to sign long-term. Unless he's angling for a trade..
  16. Because we're going from a guy who doesn't know how phones work, to a guy who doesn't know how emails work. That's progress, isn't it?
  17. Can't believe nobody mentioned his TD catch on that fake field goal against the Seahawks from a few years ago. (indistinct chatter)... Wait, who retired today? (more chatter)... You mean that was two different people?
  18. I'd feel a lot better knowing they were going to cut him anyway. Everyone here is assuming as much and I guess that is the logical conclusion but he was supposed to have been cut by a couple of new regimes previously. After some puzzling moves already (Nelson, Barnett), I'm skeptical.
  19. I'm on board with this. In fact, they should go sign Patrick Willis too. Don't even let him play in the game Sunday in case he gets hurt. Just go do it right now. If the niners say he's still under contract, get Willis to tell them he was just kidding when he signed it.
  20. Deadspin just put this out...if he was in on it, which I can't see how he couldn't have been, do you still want this guy? http://deadspin.com/5976517/manti-teos-dead-girlfriend-the-most-heartbreaking-and-inspirational-story-of-the-college-football-season-is-a-hoax
  21. This franchise is a joke. In essence, this press conference was just to say "hey, its status quo here...ralph is not going to be calling the shots anymore though". Which he really hasn't in years anyway, according to most reports. I'm so sick of everyone praising this Brandon clown for being able to sell the Bills during this down time. He hasn't done anything. Newsflash: The Bills sell themselves. Its like narcotics for most of us. There's no way to prove this, but I don't think he's done anything to sell one more seat than would have been sold anyway. Every marketing gimmick they have is low rent and embarrassing. PSY as the half-time show? Have some dignity, for F's sake.
  22. I would, in the small hope that he would one day finally put it all together. It sounds impossible now, I know, but just based on his likability factor I really wish he could be the guy we all wanted him to be. Stranger things have happened. Right?
  23. The look on Fitzpatrick's face after the play pretty much shows that he didn't know it was 1st and 10. Meaningless play, yet no other play perfectly summarizes this year than that. What an embarrassment.
  24. Another thing I always notice, and I think it was brought up by Collinsworth on NBC, is that anytime the Mannings yell "Omaha", its always checking into a run play. Another not so obvious example from our own team is when Stevie lines up in the backfield. He always goes in motion so they can line him up with a linebacker, and they ALWAYS throw to him. Hopefully Jeff Fisher isn't reading this.
