  1. Way off base? Actually, you just described Dick Jauron's NFL head coaching philosophy to a tee. He doesn't have a philosophy! And he left his balls back on the field when he was an outstanding NFL d-back in the 70's. As a head coach, he basically disapears and just tries to keep eveybody happy. I guess you can say that Bill Parcells was the anti-Jauron. Was there anything funnier then Parcells telling the press that "she" is not ready to practice when he was talking about a first round draft choice his Pats invested in at wide receiver? Or when he would not call T.O by his name, and only referred to him as "that player", because he did not like Owens' style? In contrast, you will probably see DJ driving T.O.'s golf cart for him from the practice field to the dorms at St. John Fisher this August! Nobody can ever say a "bad" word about Jauron, and his players "love" playing for him. The only thing he cannot figure out how to do is WIN in the NFL. But you are right on. Jauron should absolutely move on without Peters, as soon as he does not show up for the first mandatory OTA this spring. And if Peters shows up a few days before the opening game against the Pats, he should be buried on the bench until he takes his job back away from whoever is starting. And I am one of Peters' biggest fans out here, and think the Bills should pay him the money he wants. That doesn't mean I think he's right to hold out another training camp, and DJ should make him pay for it like a man!! Good post!
  2. Kelsay earns 8 Mill a year?? No way. I thought his extension was for around half that, about 4 Million a year. If Kelsay really earns that much money, Jason Peters should shut it down and stay away for the entire two years left on his contract until the jerks payed him 10 Million per.
  3. Could not have said it better myself!
  4. I used to go to road games back in the late 80's thru mid 90's. It was great because the Bills were great and they were usually favored to actually WIN the games! I could not imagine spending the money and taking the time to go to road games now when the Bills have such little chance of beating teams on the road like the Pats. I admire your enthusiasm, but good luck with all of that these days!
  5. "Tough guy Brandon" showed us yet again, how stupid he & his inner circle jerks can be with football-related decisions. Crowell would have been ready to play right about the time the Bills started to tank their season. Anybody think he couldn't have helped out the defense during those frustrating losses?? Perhaps enough to finish 8-8, or even a more promising 9-7? Who knows? But after he was put on IR, he decided to have more extensive surgery, so as he said to the Tampa writer, things probably worked out better for him and his health.
  6. Yeah, sucks to be him. Right on. Tough love and all that. Forget the fact he hits the holes harder the Lynch. Forget the fact he caught passes that made first downs last season when nobody else did. Forget the fact he loves the game and appreciates evey down he plays. Screw him. The Bills "own him" so why reward him for hard work, even though a nice reasonable 2 or 3 year deal with a respectable signing bonus would not even make a ripple against the salary cap space left - why make a feel-good deal like that to a player that really deserves it, when you don't have to, right?
  7. No kdding, really?? What does all that giberish add to my original post stating the fact that Jackson is a restricted free agent, becuase of the years he has been in the NFL, and all the Bills have to do is offer him a tender offer??? Do we fans now need to be lawyers or player agents to qualify to post on this arrogant board or what??? My point is that Jackson is not happy about it. And why do the Bills want to have an unhappy Freddy Jackson on the team when he is the best running back to lead them into the first three games that Lynch will be on the sidelines for? Research this, becauase we all know it is true: The jerks can afford to offer Jackson a 2 or 3 year deal, right now, that pays him what he is worth to this football team, and make the guy feel like all of his hard work was worth it. They gave Marcus Stroud an awesome new contract, and he never even asked for it. They are still under the cap, and they did not sign any of the free agent running backs that visited. Thus, my post about the inner-circle jerks being brainless regarding Fred Jackson.
  8. Wow, what are you talking about? Jackson's status?.... He is a restricted free agent due to the amount of time he's been in the NFL. The Bills are only required to offer him a tender deal for players that fit into that category, which they did. Of course, he's had a couple of nice seasons that should mean he should get more money then that tender offer, but since the idiots at One Bills Drive don't have to do more, they have not, at least not yet. And Jackson was hoping the Bills would offer a long term contract representing his true value to the team, so now he is pissed off. Now, please tell me what additional "research" I should have done before beginning this thread?? And as for other threads being similar to this one, who cares? Don't read it if you think it's redundant, or "retarded".
  9. Of course Freddy can "carry the load" for 3 games. But he might as well go the Jason Peters route and hold out, since the Bills have no other viable options this late into free agency, for getting through the first games at running back. God forbid the Bills would have been smart, and offered Jackson a nice 4 year deal on tender day, that would have made him happy and excited to take on this important challange to start the 2009 season. Oh no, not the Bills - how could they justify that cost??
  10. You have to love the football smarts at One Bills Drive. Marshawn Lynch gets arrested. Every football fan in America knows he will be missing some games to start this coming season. The Bills still only tender Fred Jackson the very minimum they cold get away with, pissing him off. Then they parade a bunch of veteran running backs through One Bills Drive during free agency and sign none of them. Now we find out Lynch will be gone for three games. Fred Jackson becomes very important for the first quarter of the 2009 season, and as usual, the inner circle jerks have put themselves into a contentious corner forcing Jackson to honor his pathetic "contract" or else. Nice job, Brandon and circle jerks. I guess you can start talking up Xavier Omon along with Stevey Johnson and Demetrius Bell, since you just cannot seem to part with the money needed to compete in the real life NFL.
  11. He got off light. I predicted at least 4 games. I think Goodell was encouraged by Marshawn's willingness to meet with him and to admit what an idiot he was. Lynch is now on track to put this crap behind him. Lynch will be in Canton for the Hall of Fame Game with the Bills. He should talk to Bruce Smith for a few minutes. Smith was suspended 4 games in 1988 for violating the NFL drug testing policy. Obviously, Bruce was able to put that experience way behind him as he enters the Hall of Fame. I'll be looking forward to watching this kid beginning week 4 of this season.
  12. Yeah, Jason Peters = Bruce Smith. Good argument. "Just pay him" and then wonder why the Bills franchise is unsustainable as having the lowest ticket prices in the league and watch us drift back into salary cap hell. "Just cut Chris Kelsay." It doesn't work that way, sorry. First of all, you have no idea whether Jason Peters will end up in the Hall of Fame or not at this early stage of his career do you? In that light, maybe it is not such a stretch to compare him to Bruce Smith, was only five years into his career back in 1989 when the Broncos signed him to that offer sheet. Secondly, despite the general feelings about Peters on this board, he is TALENTED. I believe in today's NFL, you need as many talented Pro Bowl caliber players as you can sign to make a one or two year run at a SB Championship. If the Bills can achieve a two year run with playoffs and maybe even a Conference Championship game or God forbid even a Cardinals-like SB appearance thrown in, don't you think going back into "salary cap hell" would be freakin' worth it?? After nine years without a playoff game to cheer for?? After three straight 7-9-0 seasons, you are concerned about "drifting back into salary cap hell"?? How much worse would that be right about now? So, you sign Jason Peters, the two time consecutive Pro Bowl left tackle, to his huge contract, and he comes to camp happy and blocks his ass off for Edwards THIS SEASON, so Edwards can have time to find T.O. THIS SEASON, so T.O can find the freakin' end zone 10 or more times, and the Bills can have a chance to score enough points to make the playoffs during T.O's one year contract!
  13. Yeah, really great post. Here is what he's saying: After 9 consecutive years missing the playoffs, and 3 consecutive 7-9-0 seasons, the Buffalo Bills are too good of an organization to have to deal with young Pro Bowl players who want to be paid what they are worth.
  14. Nothing?...Other then the fact that he's been voted into two consecutive Pro Bowls, right? But of course you educated Bills' fans know way more then the players, coaches and fans who keep voting him into the Pro Bowl right?
  15. OK, fine. So the Bills will trade Jason Peters to Philly. And then, the Eagles will pay him exactly what he has demanded to be paid by the Bills, and will anchor their offensive line as a Pro Bowl LT for the forseeable future. And the Bills? Well they will use the draft picks to draft more rookies. And if by some miracle, around the same year Peters' gets voted into his 5th or 6th consecutive Pro Bowl, the rookie the Bills draft at perhaps LT becomes as good as Peters, they won't pay him what his demands will be either. Yeah, it's great being a Bills fan, isn't it?? Bill Polian must be shaking his head in utter amazement as to what has become of his old franchise. This idiotic standoff with the talented Peters must remind Polian of the off-season that the Broncos signed young and upcoming Bruce Smith to an offer sheet. You know Polian lost his temper and most likely wanted to let the ingrate Smith shufflle up to Denver. But, his common sense and football smarts forced him to match the offer sheet, and he reaped the benefits of Bruce's Hall of Fame career for that decision.
  16. Or....could it be possible he is the best center on the Bills current roster now with only Fowler hanging around until he signs with another team, and that kid Gaddis?? You know those "tricky" inner circle jerks, they never seem capable of pulling off much more then the obvious, the desperate T.O. one year deal notwithstanding.
  17. WTF? Sometimes I think the Inner Circle Jerks do this illogical spending on purpose, just to justify their own salaries. They have the big obvious Pro Bowl LT in the prime of his career they should have spent that money on. They have the older valuable running back who has earned a solid contract they could have spent that money on. Instead, they waste it on the former Pro Bowl NT already over 30 years old on the downside of his career, who is already making good money for the next two seasons, and has not even mentioned wanting a new deal!?! What next? A new deal for J.P. Losman because he hasn't sold his home in downtown Buffalo yet, and he could be the best 3rd string QB in the NFL???
  18. OK, so that means that the Bills will receive a servicable "system veteran left tackle" and TWO first round draft picks for Jason Peters. Yeah, sure they will.
  19. Yeah, Jackson "racked up" a whopping 500 or 600 yards rushing as a number two running back, while all Peters did was get voted into his second consecutive Pro Bowl! Absoultely, pay Jackson and screw the two time Pro Bowl left tackle that is in the prime of his career, while Jackson is almost 30 years old. It's all a conspiracy right? We as Bills fans know better then the other NFL players and coaches that voted Peters in right? We know that those other players and coaches only want to see Peters get his money from that cheap idiot Wilson, right? While we experts in Buffalo know that Peters really sucks, and he gave up his 11.5 sacks, and he needs to be traded, right??? Two things. the circle jerks should give Freddy a better long term contract, because I like the guy too. But that doesn't change my stance on the fact that yes, Peters should get his money too, since the team that the jerks trade him to will sign him to the contract he demands anyway. And even though all you expert fans are sure that he will suck and get cut like big fat Mike Williams, I think you are all nuts. Jason Peters is a special talent, and he will be a franchise left tackle for whoever signs him, and that is the way I see this.
  20. Higher ground? What does that mean? Has Peters become a criminal now? Who did he shoot, himself? A photographer? And stop with this 11 sacks allowed crap! I watched every game last season. I did not watch Peters' assigned man blow around him 11 freakin' times for easy sacks! This sacks allowed stat is about as stupid as the "hits" stat in hockey. Here's one point nobody wants to bring up about "sacks allowed": You know those LT's who are so much more talented then Peters on your sacks-allowed list? How many times were they beat clean, only to have the running back chip out and keep the guy away from the QB just long enough for him to get the pass out of his hands?!? Or, how many times did the QB escape the guy who blew right around the "more talented" LT and get the pass off, thus, no sack being counted against the "more talented LT"?!? If the Bills don't offer Peters a better contract worth a Pro Bowl caliber left tackle before training camp, they only have themselves to blame.
  21. Kevin O'Connel huh? Let's see, he is 6'4, 220, and will throw for 3 TD's and no Int's against the Bills on MNF to lead the Pats to a 31-3 blow out win.
  22. If the Bills take the best OT on the board at 11, OT is deep enough for the kid to be able to start at RT this season, in my opinion, and it would not be the first time the Bills "reached for need" with their number one pick. (Can you say Donte' Whitner?) It's a vaible plan. However, I still think the circle jerks should just pay Peters and lock him up for 5 years around the money he's looking for. Franchise Pro Bowl caliber LT's are hard to stumble apon in the NFL, and if by some miracle the rookie they drafted at 11 became that good himself, then the Bills would have to find the money for him eventually too.
  23. Wait a minute, isn't Jay Cutler supposed to be working out in Orchard Park right now according your sources? Now it's the best rookie QB available when the Bills pick number 11?? You really don't like Trent do you? And the Bills signed a viable back up who has started games in the NFL. Remember, the guy from Cincinnati - Fitzpatrick?
  24. What's wrong, is that not a real word? "Stupid, stupider, stupidest" I've heard "that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of" many times. Come on Weo, you can do better then that.
