  1. Are you going to say this about every possible ofseason move? Do the Free agent's signed last month help us end our play off drought?

Sometimes you need to add depth and add role players.

This was just a douche statement

if he can tackle, i'd get him to replace poz

  2. Reread my post before you go putting me in a class of unknowledgeable..I said he didnt do it in the big game..Thats all...If thats what your reputation is and thats what the team relies on you to do and you dont do it in the SUPERBOWL tyou dont deserve the hall of fame..I like Andre and I enjoyed watching him..I just didnt enjoy watching him puke in the SuperBowl..He doesnt deserve it in my opionion..The facts are there he disapeared when it counted most..Everyone saw it and If you would like I can ship you the Tapes and you can check it out for yourself again and be reminded..

    neither did kelly or thomas

  3. This is actually a very real possibility given the amount of money at this position. The team thinks highly of Kelsay and Denney, and like it or not they are solid...not great pass rushers, but solid in other aspects. So, I think it comes down to what they team expects to get from Schobel next year. If they feel he can be an effective rusher again, they may look to address other needs first.

My personal opinnion though is that they realize Schobel is coming off a bad injury and if he cant play at the level he was we will have no pass rush. So I think they bite the financial bullet and go ahead and take a top DE in the 11 spot if one is there...if there is a run on DE's in top 10 and there isnt one left they are high enough on to take #11 then I think they look to take one in round 2...

kelsay and denny should be cut asap, they stink and could be replaced with placers making half as much who are probably better

  4. Shane Conlan

    1987-1995.....1987-1992 with Bills(LILB)

77 starts for Bills.....500 tackles for Bills

Defensive Rookie of the Year 1987

    3 Pro Bowls 1988-1990

Conlan was a great mlb, he was all over the field and very effective against the run. and making 3 pro bowls was great

  5. interesting note about this fact: Buffalo's D allowed less points than Dallas' (342-365). You'd think that with such a dominating defensive effort by one player, that their defense would be better than Buffalo's in regards to points allowed...

dallas's schedule was about 50 times harder

  6. Sorry I hate Peters--this time I'll take Bills management side. He stunk this year. I hope Gross signs such a huge deal the Bills will just let Peters walk after his contract is due. If he sits out again--sayonara. The fact is Edwards biggest strength is his poise in the pocket and his fast release. Edwards is not going to get sack often even if Jason Robards is the LT.

The reason I feel this way is the Bills MADE him. Any other team that brought him in might have kept him as a tightend and eventually cut his ungrateful ass.

you're right, edwards throws those 3 yard checkdown passes faster than anyone in the league, yet still manages to find ways to get hurt. edwards sucks

  7. I thought that he already signed an extension with Baltimore? Either way, I'd take him at a REASONABLE price. I picked him up in FA on Madden '09  , moved Poz to LOLB, re-signed Crowell, and traded Mitchell. :nana: Seriously though, this is a "pipe dream" if I ever heard one. Lewis will want to go to a contender, not to the Bills where he will finish out his career in relative mediocrity. Unless we land some "big name" FA's this offseason, then he would consider it possibly. There's 2 places I could see him ending up. First would be down in Miami playing along side of Crowder and Porter. The only other place I could see him going would be San Diego. They are both warm climates, attractive to a player with his skill set, and they also play the 3-4. The age he's at right now, I don't think he'll want to go into a situation where a team is still "building" for the future like we are.

why would you need poz when you've got mitchell and crowell

  8. we shouldn't even think about lewis, we have that pos POZ who's good at repeating the defensive signal from the microphone and can always be counted on to have a running back carry him 5 yards down the field

in fact, now that we know what lewis is worth on the open market, we should give poz a big fat raise and lock him up for 10 years, thus guranteeing our defense to be a bunch of arm tackling wuss's

  9. FYI, this is incorrect. The SB winning Ravens team was a 4-3.

  10. Chris Kelsay is "everyone" on Buffalo? Nice rationalization there buddy. The guy isn't a starting caliber dend, and starts simply because it's a position of glaring weakness, with no legit competition to take his job. His complete lack of production, and game awareness speaks for itself. He's slow off the snap. Routinely Bites on end arounds, and crashes hard on off tackle runs. His pass rush moves are limited, and his closing speed is below average. Way to jump to those conclusions of what I think of the Bills roster though lol.

For the record I've been dogging Kelsay on his lack of talent since before the guy was drafted, while people like Bill and Ramius told me to give him a chance. Listening to guys go "wait for such and such player to take pressure off of him" All so he can continue to suck and be a glaring weakness on the Bills defense. It's not a new innovative "This guy sucks" rant. He simply lacks talent to be a starting defensive end, especially in a defense that is suppouse to create front 4 oriented pressure.

he must be good, he makes more than peters

  11. I think player personell is the biggest difference. Everyone's on the same page and they know how to identify talent. For example moving up in the draft to get Polamalu. The move was really questioned here, but when you'e right it works out. If Polamalu turned out like McCargo, I think there would have been fan dischord even with quality ownership etc in place.

Fans in Pgh are spoiled and I would love to see the Steelers fall flat on their faces, but unfortunately they haven't. We'll see how they progress, because the 2008 draft didn't add much to the team this year. They were also down 3 starting olinemen from last years team but didn't need anyone from the 2008 class because of the talent they were able to find in later rounds of prior drafts or off the street.

Buffalo never had the recovery post steel industry that Pittsburgh had. We also have CMU cranking out highly skilled computer professionals and that has helped the local economy. So they don't need 80,000 seats (even though they could fill that sized stadium) and can sell enough corporate boxes to make money.

that's a big misconception the bills do make money, i wish that myth would disappear

  12. Its everything! owner, front office, coaches, players........they all pretty much suck! I watch these playoffs teams and my friends.....hate to say this but.....the Bills are far far far far far away from being that good. Buffalo has ZERO players that are as good as the guys on these playoffs teams......

i think the title of the thread should be "the value of a talented qb who isn't hurt all the time to be able to react to the blitz"

  13. Poz would probably fare better as an outside backer, which is where he played in college if I'm not mistaken. If the Bills could get Mauluga with their first pick it would be possible to switch Poz back to his natural position.

he's too slow to play olb in the nfl

  14. Poz I thought was a very consistent player for our team, very solid, I hope to see him become more of a playmaker for us like Mitchell, and I'm sure there were many behind the scenes and intangibles that he adds to our defense. It is something definitely to build on.

Poz is no better than a journeyman football player and wouldn't even have made the team in pittsburgh or baltimore
