  1. Thats what makes it worse - shes a model that somebody handed a microphone, and Dickerson's a HOF running back. And it seemed she had more knowledge of the game then he did.
  2. It's really sad that Dickerson is even worse at sideline reporting than Lisa Guerrero.
  3. That was horrible. Come on TJ. No need to point out that Ricky Williams made a great block on him.
  4. The Ball Washers are out, and theyre going straight for Hines Ward. Obviously it makes sense for the national announce team to make an annoying huge deal over Ward now tying Stallworth for most Steeler receptions. Who gives a schitt. I think Reuben Droughns is now 75 TDs back in Cleveland history, why not talk about that?? That and Richard Colclough got beat on the long pass to Bryant, but Ricardo Colclough was back to return the kick. Nice one Mike Patrick. Now there's a replay - whatever Theismann says, the opposite will be true. Guarantee.
  5. Not to be outdown, Kevin Harlan also knows zilch about football, but he DOES know the former team of EVERY player on both teams. The guy next to me at the bar heard it and told me as the game started, so obvious. One quick example that I remember - "Jeff Posey who has worked his way around the league, most recently with Houston, coming up with a big fumble recovery". What the hell does he playing with Houston 3 years ago have anything to do with the fumble recovery?? And don't worry, if they're a rookie, he still does his research: "Eric King breaks up that pass, drafted out of Wake Forest where he started all 4 years" wow, what a feat, starting 4 years at a mid-level acc football program. Seriously, next time Harlan is the PBP guy, listen for these references, I never noticed but it was painfully obvious.
  6. Why not - Big Bennie has been horrible all season, and it's seems obvious to the coaches that after a half a game MW is done. The Duke has been alright IMO from what I've seen. Keep him in there.
  7. Peters looked servicable on the right side of the line as well..
  8. Best part of this broadcast - Sam Ryan
  9. They were talking about this on Stern this morning, it was hilarious. Lonnie, the guy quoted in the article by CNN, is a frequent guest. Even Stern couldn't get the $241K.
  10. The triple post -- notice he said at the downtown casinos. Thats like night and day to the big strip casinos. Trust me - anyone dealing on the strip, where Excalibur is for The Real - makes ALOT of money. Any job on the strip that deals with tips is great and dealing is the best of those.
  11. FYI havent heard great things about the place. Keep your eyes open at the MGM properties, as was said earlier after 6 months you can transfer to anywhere in the company.
  12. Pretty much what he said. I moved out here in May, it's awesome. Right now its 71 at 8pm, I was just outside and its perfect weather. 8pm in the middle of October in Buffalo you need either a jacket, umbreall, or both. I actually work for MGM Grand, same corporation. Excalibur isn't bad, although since the merger we (my dept at MGM) has worked alot with the new properties ie Excalibur, Mandalay, and Luxor. There were definitely a lot of things that needed to be improved, business wise, for them to get to "MGM standards". Things are improving, partly because so many executives, directors, managers, etc transferred or were promoted to positions in those properties. Working at Excalibur now will be a lot different than it was 6 months ago- better. Anyways, yes most of the shifts tips are pooled, and remember for everyone that tips $.50 when they leave, or not at all, there's someone else tipping in the thousands, routinely (although not as much at Excalibur). You'll probably start off on grave, but that can still be busy. As for the important stuff - make sure to go to the aforementioned Johnny Macs on Boulder Highway in Henderson for any and all Bills related activities. Its rough to get up in time to ge there by the 10 am kickoff, but well worth it.
  13. Who cares about Thurman - where was George Siefert???
  14. I pretty much agree, but why did Theismann say it on a Sunday Night broadcast that has nothing to do with TO?? Makes no sense as usual from the sunday night crew.
  15. Definitely picked up on that, especially cuz they made a point to mention it was a sellout with 66,000 fans. At least 4 sections were covered. They do it consistently there. I can only assume it is to lift the local blackout, since all "available" tickets are sold?? It's pretty ridiculous.
  16. Compared Chad Johnson to TO and Moss - said he's similar to both - claimed that TO was very selfish and talks alot of trash. Apparently Patrick and McGuire weren't fond of it lol. Another thing that pisses me off about this game is how they said at the beginning - "sellout crowd of over 66,000" yet you can clearly see at least 4 sections COMPLETELY covered up because of lax ticket sales, something Jacksonville always does. Pathetic.
  17. That's actually a big deal - because I assume Stewart is going to be in the new FieldHouse that seats about 8-9,000 - a far cry from the 2,500 or so they crammed into Clark Gym for other years (saw Tracy Morgan there). Although I did see Jon Stewart in 2001 at Brockport - very good show, highly recommend seeing him do standup.
  18. FYI I got in my RIT newsletter that he will be at RIT this weekend (Saturday) for parent's/alumni weekend. Luckily I just graduated and moved to Vegas so there's no way I can see him for what is I think $10 for students/alumni.
  19. "I'll tell ya what" and he said nothing
  20. 8 of 10, and the 2 I got "wrong" I picked the right answer first then switched. Too bad there are about 1,000 people or so between me and the CEO of the company I work for...
  21. The reason why it's logic is simple - there are more cards worth 10 in the deck than any other. There is a MUCH greater chance of hitting and getting a card worth 10 than getting any other card in the deck. This is why more times than not, it hurts the other people at your table if you hit when you shouldnt.
  22. Blackjack at a casino is vastly different. The whole object of that is for the dealer to bust - and if you got a guy at the last seat who keeps hitting when he shouldn't and then the dealer ends up with a 19-21 and everyone at the table loses when the dealer should've busted, then you should get pissed. If say the dealer is showing a 2-6, you shouldn't hit on anything you have that's more than 11 - some might not even hit at all. If the guy in the last seat hits no reason and gets a 10 (and maybe busts), then the dealer's turn is up and they turn over a 10 as well, making their hand a 12-16, they would have busted immediately if the guy hadn't hit. A guy was doing that the last time I was at Fallsview Casino and I got REALLY pissed because I lost about $100 and at least half of the hands were when he hit and took the dealer's bust card.
  23. Always works best when you have the nuts and know it - like a full boat or ace high flush - and you check and the guy after you raises BIG because he's either got a flush that you beat with your boat or a lower flush than your ace high - then raise all in. So easy.
  24. Where's Robin Adams? Not only is she hot, but she knows her sports. She is by far the hottest news babe in Buffalo
  25. Forgot about Hofbrauhaus. Always a good time - although I think Oktoberfest there officially starts NEXT weekend. It's on the corner of Harmon and Paradise - about 3 blocks or so east of the strip and across the street from Hard Rock - which has the best pool and best looking ladies of anywhere in Vegas IMO! - Just realized this was started this morning at about 7 am pacific - Hops Guy is here already. Oops. Thought it was just general tips oh well
