I'd like to cast an underdog vote for Arthur Moats as one of the special teams captains.

Andre Davis is not on the team anymore. My guess: Fitz, Freddie, Barnett, Kyle, Wilson, Moorman.

The superficial about looks part of me would say no. However the superficial about money part of me would say absolutely.

Aaron Maybin and Scam Charities
biglukes replied to TheLynchTrain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could very well be totally wrong, but I kind of see it like they just get rid of Vernon Gholston who was a first rounder who totally busted for them then turn around and sign Gholston 2.0 in Maybin. He lucks into a few garbage sacks and now he's a weapon. I kind of feel like the only reason a Jets fan would have to really talk about Maybin is to try and get the goat of Bills fans. Because outside of a handful of plays he was still pretty worthless. Again, I could be way off base. And if I amdodo ahead and tell me. Just kind of the way I read it. -
Aaron Maybin and Scam Charities

He may only be a fan favorite with the jets fans because he was a Bills castoff who lucked into a few sacks. If they didn't get him from the Bills, the jet delusionals wouldn't care about Maybin in the least. He'd just be another former 1st rounder who busted into a borderline NFL player. He's just something they want to try and hold over out heads. -
James Bond driving a Honda Civic? Guess the endorsements aren't pouring in like they used to.

Coming to Buffalo to see my first NFL game

I would definitely go to the Canadian side of the falls if I were you. It's way nicer than the US side. -
Has the left lane become the new right?
biglukes replied to plenzmd1's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The thing that gets me is when people slam on their brakes when they see a cop on the other side if the highway going in the opposite direction. Forget, the median or barrier or the fact that they're going 65+ in the opposite direction or am already have someone pulled over. -
I went with Peanuts. I've always been a big fan of the strip and Schultz. I bought my mom the 50 years of Peanuts book for Christmas this year and ended up reading it myself. Pretty cool to look at the progression of the strip from when it started in the 50's until the end.

There's no reason that we can't keep them both. Teams typically carry 3 TE's and a FB. So McIntyre is your FB and and Dickerson takes the place of that last TE who is rarely utilized anyways. So now you keep your battering ram and special teams ace while simultaneously adding a new dimension and getting better use out of a depth spot.

One of the reasons I love being at the games. The breaks are all still the same but I don't have to repeatedly sit through commercials of old people getting ready to do it, being continually bombarded with the benefits of the cold activated can, and don't have to sit through promos for whatever CBS's newest destined to crash and burn shows are.

I can't remember looking forward to a preseason as much as I am this year. Now I normally get excited for the start of the preseason just because actual football is back. But this year there are so many guys that I can't wait to get a look at who aren't even projected starters right now like Easley, Bradham, Carder, Graham, and Jasper that there should be more than enough to keep my mind from wandering during the second halves of the games.

More time for commercials during the early games.

Ray will be kind of filling the Pierre McGuire role. Granted I want to drive a tire iron through my face everytime Pierre talks but Ray be filling the Harry Neale role just from the ice. As far as Rick and Harry's relationship, Rick said he's going to miss hanging out with Harry on the road a lot so I don't think there is any animosity between them at all.

Elmo doesn't like being tickled by the jews

I'm at work so I don't want to pull up the links and therefore have no idea what's going on but I found the title to this thread hilarious. -
The Buffalo News is obviously running a speakeasy to avoid the 4 am closing time. Many a Bucky Gleason article have been written in the wee hours of the night from there. That's really the only way to explain the things that guy writes.

What can I say? My age bracket and I don't get along in that regard. I've come to accept my lot in life as untrendy and unfashionable.

CBS Sports Top 10 Jerks in the NFL
biglukes replied to The Cincinnati Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A couple of excessive celebration penalties hardly make a guy a jerk. He's never been in trouble with the law, thrown a teammate under the bus, bad mouthed the fans or the city, held out, or even passed blame for his mistakes. He accepted full responsibility and said he respected Chan for sticking to his decision and accepted the consequences for the benching. He's nothing like TO. -
Nothing drives me nuts quite like flat brimmed hats, with the stickers still on, worn barely sitting on the head and cocked in some ridiculous direction.

CBS Sports Top 10 Jerks in the NFL

Stevie Johnson is not even close to being a jerk. Taking a penalty and having fun after he scores does not making him a jerk. The guy has always been personable, humble, a hard worker, and has always taken responsibility for his actions. Have you ever listened to any of his interviews? Just because you don't TD celebrations doesn't make him a jerk. You're way off base. -
Every indication is that Wood will be more than ready by the time the season rolls around. Nothing to worry about right now.

I would highly doubt we see any kind of move with Levitre. He's very good where he's at and has been since he came into the league. I don't think they're concerned about having him on the right side in case of a rollout. Plus having a savvy vet like him next to a rookie or 2nd year LT can only be a positive. There's been no talk about him moving nor has he gotten a single rep on that side so I would think it next to no chance of happening.
-
I would think that Asper vs Brown is going to be the battle for the last online position. I think we see it end up as Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Urbik, Pears, Hairston, Reinhardt, Sanders, and one of Brown/Asper/Jasper with the losers going to the practice squad.

The way Gailey is talking about Brad Smith and what his role will be, I would be stunned if he isn't on the roster. I don't think there's any way he's cut.

Former Buffalo Bill Marcus Stroud retires
biglukes replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Marcus Stroud doesn't care". Always liked the guy and hope he enjoys retirement. He's pretty funny and personable guy, I wish him nothing but the best.
