  1. Ya, but which point guard? I think our offense is geared more towards a "Steve Nash" type point guard, whereas Fitzy was playing more like a "Jameer Nelson" point guard. Between his own injuries and those of some of our most important offensive players, I think he was forced into more of a playmaker role. If this can be avoided this upcoming year, he should be able to get us to the playoffs.
  2. This was already posted in the Dumervil thread, and I know this guy has a history of run-ins with the law, but I'm holding judgement on this charge. It was a misdemeanor charge for domestic, which could simply mean a loud argument that someone called the police for, and they were forced to bring someone in. If it were a felony charge or multiple charges, perhaps I'd feel different. I've seen plenty of domestic charges like this thrown out pretty quickly. Lynch's BAC was over the legal limit, pretty open/shut case for him.... again.
  3. I see what you did there.
  4. I feel like you may have missed the theme of this thread; Things are only going to get harder for him.
  5. I like some of the comments on the link provided in this thread as well as the ones on ESPN's article; "Skittles Vodka" I was not one of the mad fans when he was shipped out. Good riddance.
  6. If you still have his email, perhaps you could send him a link of this thread. I'm sure he'd appreciate hearing what some of his fans thought of and still think of him. He was a class act. Absolutely could have started on a number of other teams during his time with us.
  7. It's actually not just a game to them, it's their careers. And to preface what I'm about to say, I really can't stand when a random stranger feels the need to comment on someone else's financial situation, especially regarding their careers, but I'm going to try and keep this civil and respectful; I think perspective is missing from your rant. He's an employee looking to maximize his income while he's still capable of performing at an elite level. We all have that option, though most of us aren't sought out like Mr. Brees is. If you're angry about how much he makes, you're angry at the wrong person. Otherwise, you're angry because he wants to secure his future and do so with the most profit possible. Either way, it smells like envy sprinkled with a hint of jealousy. Also, thanks to your son for his service. On top of the abundant charity work Drew Brees does, I'm sure he's very grateful for the men and women who serve and protect our country.
  8. Nice post, thanks for sharing. I feel the same way. It's troubling how some people can get so annoyed by on air personalities.
  9. I never noticed. I'll bet I start noticing now..... thanks alot.
  10. What dirty laundry? Geez, can't a guy give a couple of lovely young ladies a ride home in a Limo after having too much to drink? Also, this story is false. "After practice" would suggest they were in Western New York, and we all know there are no "hot young ladies" in Western New York.
  11. I agree. Kamar Aiken is a guy I'll be watching very closely this pre-season.
  12. I'll give it a try... I would think Easley stands to gain more playing time as a #2 WR if he's to truly be a contributer in 2012, as Merriman will still be rotating in. Therefore, I would assume he'd have a bigger impact on our team's success. To be clear though, there are a ton of factors that come in to play here even if both are 100%. Playcalling, offensive/defensive schemes changing as opposing teams gameplan against us, etc. Both guys have pretty talented teammates to line up with (Johnson/M.Williams) so both should be able to capitalize on that, but to me there is more of an opportunity for Easley to contribute to the team for playing time reasons alone. * This IS swayed by the fact I believe our #2 WR position is the most key position going into 2012 in terms of team success. That spot has to be filled with someone capable of producing in order for our team to succeed, IMHO. Not sure I even believe what I just typed, but there's an Easley side of it nonetheless...
  13. Maybe if he makes the Pro Bowl we can even capitalize the first letter in his last name...
  14. Take it from a guy who's played in both Buffalo snow and Orlando summer heat; no comparison. Snow every single time. Every. Single. Time.
  15. Fitz doesn't strike me as the type of guy who'd care how high up he was, seems more like a "well, one step at a time" kind of guy. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, and of course, I don't know him personally so I could be wrong.
  16. Wow, nice post! And ya, SJBF is kinda cool, intee!
  17. Ahhh, personal insults, my favorite. Thanks for contributing to this board...
  18. I took it that way as well. He knows who the Bills selected, just not them personally or their on-field skillsets.
  19. I find that hard to believe. I remember you being a pretty cordial poster. Whoever got the bite with the bark probably deserved it. Either way, glad you're back.
  20. Oh, didn't realize you changed your username... carry on.
  21. Of all the posters to scrutinize, you pick "San Jose Bills Fan"??? your aim is off, buddy. This is what this board if for, Bills talk. VY is a Bill, a high profile Bill at that. It's relative whether you agree with it or not. Back on topic, I'm sort of rooting for him to get things turned around. We all fall off the track every now and again but aren't always open to public ridicule. I'm not a better man than VY, and prefer people have success stories rather than failure. Like others have said, however, the true test will be during the season, whether good or bad.
  22. You don't think Patrick Willis is a top 5 LB??? Also, all this talk about not having top 5 talent and still winning, yet nobody mentioned the Superbowl Champs yet.... perfect example, though one could argue for 1 or 2 of their DE's, but they aren't clear cut top 5's.
  23. Next time, a get well card and some chocolates will suffice.
  24. Or maybe I disagree with the idea that player "bounties" will have any affect on a player's chances at the HOF... There's nothing classier than when someone starts a thread and then pisses on anyone who doesn't agree with the content. Well done.
