I actually started a thread 3 or 4 days ago that showed NFL all-pro's stats in college compared to these guys in this draft. I think I'm gonna dig it up now.
C'mon dude Ayers has super-mega-extreme upside! Who cares if he had 9 sacks in four years? He had an awesome senior bowl game! I think we should trade up with Detroit and take Ayers #1 overall.
I never once said I had a problem with trading up. If we can grab a guy like Curry or Raji.
But this is being considered one of the most overrated OT groups in awhile. And we're going to take the biggest question mark out of all of them.
Would you really want Smith over Raji or Curry? I think one of them will be there. If we pass on them to take Smith I think this will be another draft we look back at and say look at who we passed on to get this guy.
Best receiving core in football??? We have pass rushers??? This lost credibility when those two things were said. That and the fact that Marshall Faulk is making selections.
I love Robiskie in this draft. I would love him on this team if it wasn't so crowded at WR.
That being said. One of the SC LB's is available in the mid-late second round is my prediction.
Excellent points. Pettigrew is a second tackle with hands. He is a special player.
This guy would have a huge impact in Buffalo immediately.
I honestly feel that Curry, Raji, and Pettigrew are the only 3 prospects that are near sure things in this NFL.
You should check highlights on youtube. He plays smart. On counters he gets in and kills running backs. And on a couple reverses he stays home and makes plays 10 yards in the backfield.
The one-trick-pony thing is just not true. Because he's a Florida State DE he has no moves. His play speaks for itself. This is IMO the best DE in the draft.
Great point. We have 4 good return men right now. Parrish, McKelvin, Freddy, and McGee.
When was the last time we had a bad return man? That's rhetorical. My point is it has been a while and it won't change much with Roscoe gone.
I really don't see us taking an OT with either of our #1's. And I can't see us taking one in the 2nd or 3rd because no one in the second is ready to start and we don't need another project considering many believe Bell could be our LT of the future.
I do think Cushing will fall. I'm not sure it will be as far as I projected. But many have said he is very overrated in this draft.
No chance at Barwin in the 3rd
Assuming we don't move in the draft:
1a. B.J. Raji DT
1b. Larry English DE
2. Brian Cushing OLB
3. Chase Coffman TE
4a. Antoine Caldwell C/G
4b. Cecil Newton C
5. Zack Follet LB
6. Orion Martin DE
7. Tony Fiametta FB
2000 was when it all went down hill. You can't have every player in your draft be a non-factor.
Drafts are what have killed us these past 9 years. People care so much because they mean so much.
See Patriots, Steelers, Ravens
MURRAY HEWITT!!!! Hands down funniest person ever on HBO.
