  1. The weather in Buffalo was a lot worse than it was in KC, and the Bills are not built for cold, wintery weather. Lots of California dudes, and a coach who prefers Ivy league classrooms to braving harsh climates. Put this team in LA and they would be a whole lot better. Wait a minute....
  2. Being better than the two worst teams in professional football is really all we can ask for. I can say with a sense of pride that Jauron will probably be able to put out a product that's not in the bottom two for as long as he's allowed to stay. In addition, he'll be able to grant us all total consciousness on our death beds, so at least we have that going for us...which is nice.
  3. Can't blame Roscoe; like the rest of the players and coaches, he doesn't like playing in the cold, wind, snow, ice, or sleet. But, I have heard he's made some great catches in the comfort of the field house.
  4. Don't forget the job Dan Henning is doing down in Miami.
  5. Jauron stays on because mediocrity is the perfect result for Wilson. Big success comes with big time salaries, big raises for coaches, and lots of unwanted attention and controversy that always comes with being in the spotlight. Losing 12 games or more means unwanted media attention to spend more money, lower ticket prices, and deal with bad PR, mass public outcry, and less revenue from merchandise sales. Ralph would love nothing more than to have a smooth, quiet 7-9 every year for the rest of his life - whether we like it or not.
  6. Maybe Jauron could just hold virtual practices, where players go online and exchange discussion board responses to coaches questions about their weekly assignments and game plans. This way, they won't needlessly risk injury driving to the stadium in poor weather, and will be able to concentrate on their responsibilities instead of getting caught up in the foolish horseplay and shennanigans that can easily disrupt the live practice environment.
  7. Mike, nice to see you are just as soft spoken over here as you are on the Sabres Forum! -ETC
  8. Gotcha. It's the only answer I would have accepted. BTW, I'm married into Gator nation, but I do like the Seminoles, too. I will say this, if he played up at FSU you'd have a much different opinion of the guy.
  9. It's the lack of progress, or even regression, plus the lack of toughness and leadership skills that makes many of us feel he has strong bust potential...especially when you look at the success Ryan and Flacco are having as rookies. Hopefully he'll turn it around next year, but it's tough to have a lot of optimism the way he's looked this year.
  10. Did T-bow sleep with your wife or something? You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with him. Look, you may not think he'll become a good NFL QB, but what's with all the hate? He's as tough and hard nosed of a leader as they come, but you seem to have a problem with the kid that's personal.
  11. I understand Sam Wyche is rejuvinated and ready to tackle another head coaching challenge for the league minimum salary.
  12. Yale head coach Jack Siedlecki is stepping down...
  13. Besides, we need T-bow's girlfriend in town. http://www.athletenightly.com/2007/12/tim-...-in-bikini.html
  14. I didn't say I wanted T-bow, I just meant I want a tough QB rather than CA pretty boys like Johnson/Losman/Edwards. Toughness and leadership is more important to me than finesse. T-bow is tough, maybe the toughest QB in college football, and I like that attribute.
  15. I do know this: I would rather have a blood and guts factory or farm boy QB than another arugala CA pretty boy who plays deer-in-the-headlights football, or cries for the bench when the weather gets bad and he takes a couple shots.
  16. Not saying I would advocate for bringing in Teebow, but he would NOT be sitting out with a slight groin strain with the season on the line, and he would convert short yardage downs. If he has an NFL arm we'll wait and see, but his toughness, strength and heart cannot be questioned, and those are characteristics that we haven't had in 15 years.
  17. Tebow would bring a toughness and grit that we haven't had since Jim Kelly. Not saying he's the ONE, but it's certainly not a suggestion that deserves mocking.
  18. Of course, we can never rule out Marv Levy...
  19. Very sorry to hear this...
