  1. BTW, if the Bills go 3-13 and get the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft, can anyone see Ralph breaking the bank for that? No chance...look for a massive trade down.
  2. Agreed. Plus, good special teams and an average defense will get you a win or two. I could see them pulling out 3-4 wins this year.
  3. DiCesare is right. Train wreck ahead.
  4. I guarantee a win on Monday Night, too...for New England.
  5. Realistically, this team shouldn't win a single game. As an optimist, I suspect they'll win as many as three if they can catch a few breaks.
  6. ...you have been rescued from a deserted Island with no phones, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury.
  7. Touche, and back at you with another appropriate theme song...
  8. I actually hope they wear the Donahoe clown suits rather than disgrace our proud championship uniforms in front of the entire country.
  9. Bills brass felt it was time for an update that was reflective of the team's new direction.
  10. Congratulations to Ralph Wilson for saving another $3 million dollars! So, that means he has now saved $5 million in the past week by cutting Rhodes and Walker, plus who knows how much he may have pocketed terminating Schonert. I'm so happy for Ralph!! Hopefully he'll dump some more payroll before this is over, because I am a big fan of Ralph Wilson and get excited when he increases his net worth! Remember, just as many fans here have astutely said in the past, Ralph is the Bills, who in turn represent Buffalo, which represent the communities that include friends and family members, so when Ralph clears a few million by cutting players, coaches and operating costs, plus pockets some big payola moving games to Toronto, we all can celebrate like our own flesh and blood just grew his portfolio! Go Ralph, go! You da man!!
  11. Better record last year: Big whoop, they both suck. More talent: Says who? Less senile owner: Debatable More accomplished head coach: Accomplished at losing. Less potentially criminally liable head coach: Uh, okay... More explosive weapons on offense: Really? You think this is explosive? Fewer concealed weapons in the locker room: Only until Marshawn returns A better quarterback: No. More talent on defense: No. ETC ETC ETC: No, no, no.
  12. Did the coach drop the pass in the endzone that would have won the game for FSU? Sometimes it's just a player gagging in the clutch, and a coach can't do anything about that. Was it Marv's fault that Ronnie Harmon dropped the winning touchdown in the playoffs against Cleveland back in '89?
  13. Think dollars, not sense.
  14. Bottom line: FSU choked as per usual in this series. The final pass hit the receiver in the cage in the end zone and he still dropped it. Didn't notice the clock runoff, but does anyone really believe FSU would have converted even if they had another shot? They always gag vs Miami in nail-biters that come down to an epic final play. Great game, and a perfect example of why college ball > NFL.
  15. Wrong. 1990: 5 RBs 1991: 5 RBs 1992: 4 RBs 1993: 5 RBs 1994: 5 RBs 1995: 5 RBs 1996: 5 RBs 1997: 4 RBs 1998: 6 RBs 1999: 5 RBs
  16. Maybe the Bills only have 2 RB's, one of whom is more practice squad than NFL calliber, while the other has an injured hand, but so what? Ralph Wilson is $2 million dollars richer today because Rhodes was cut, and besides, the Bills would lose no matter how many RBs were on the roster so might as well save some jack. It's all good in the hood.
  17. Well, they say bad press is still good press, so being the laughingstocks of the NFL is better than just being bad and boring, I suppose.
  18. Socialism, by contrast, is the force of good. Kill free enterprise and prosperity will follow! Chicken in every pot, no more mortgages, universal everything...utopia, baby!
  19. Shut up, doody head.
  20. Don't kid yourself; the Bills could win as many as 5 games if everything goes right, they stay healthy, and catch every officiating break. Of course, 1-15 also isn't out of the question if none of the above happens, but, hey, that's why they play the game.
  21. NE: 56 - 3 Call me a cockeyed optimist for giving the Bills that field goal.
  22. Hey, it's just [blank] being [blank]. Besides, [blank] is still just a young kid that made a mistake like all of us did when we were that age. Anyway, [blank] grew up in a rough neighborhood without much family support, so we probably need to cut him a little slack. Yes, [blank] did something he shouldn't, but we were all young once and did dumb things, so why should we string up [blank] for it when we've all been guilty of doing plenty of stupid things when we were young? Better to just chalk this one up to immaturity and let [blank] move on with his career. Give the guy a break!
  23. Look in the mirror, bub... Allen Wilson: But money may have been a bigger factor in Rhodes' release than his performance. The Bills save more than $2 million in cutting him. He was due to make base salaries of $750,000 this year and $1.25 million in 2010 as part of a two-year contract, which included a $200,000 signing bonus. He also was scheduled to get a $150,000 roster bonus by making the team. Cutting Rhodes is still a surprise because his departure leaves the Bills dangerously thin at running back. Xavier Omon, who appeared in only two games as a rookie last season, is the lone backup to Jackson for the first three games. Fullback Corey McIntyre, who re-signed in February, also made it even though the Bills don't use the fullback much in their no-huddle.
