I'm old enough to remember the days before ESPN when your only chance to see a highlight from a Bills game (or any other team for that matter) was during halftime of the MNF game. Then came the "ten minute ticker" pioneered by NBC that flashed scores every 10 minutes on the bottum of your tv. Before USA Today, you could read one to two sentences about the bills in The Sporting News' weekly newspaper publication. Good times! Also used to subscribe to Shout magazine. Is that publication still around? Personally, I loved the Flutie years. He was such a leader on the field. Great excitement watching him play.

Watching that cheap shot erased any doubt about not letting any of my boys play tackle football. Dude should walk away from the game...while he still can. I would be shocked if he didn't have a disability policy in place so he should be ok financially. Hockey has a code that if you take out one of ours, we take out one of yours. On that note, how long ago was that MNF game in the Meadowlands around Halloween when the Bills blew out the Jets and fans were setting fires in the stands?

Just came back from a trip and stayed at Hotel Pennsylvania. This is an enormous hotel. The rooms are old and plain but the rates are reasonable (for NYC) and it is in a great location. Subway is there, Macy's, Bryant Park, Times Square, and Empire State Building are a few blocks away, and plenty of restaurants. Did I mention MSG is directly across the street!

They do not need to rebuild...they were never built to begin with. Ronnie Lott would have amputated the toe in the preseason .

Maybe Sammy just had a streak of bad luck but between the ribs and foot he's been injured most of his career in Buffalo. Sadly, I think we may never know how good he could have been.
