  1. Serious question -- Maroon has become something of a cancer, it seems, in the prospective HC candidate world. Interviews for lots of jobs, gets none. Can't get out from under the way he left Buffalo -- sorry, $4M doesn't explain it -- and more and more people have come to realize he's something of a tool.

If I'm Sexton, and Marrone doesn't get one of the remaining jobs and has to crawl back to OL duties in Jacksonville, I think my stint with him is done.

Did Marrone steal your lunch money as a kid? Time to move on man!

  2. OK....having slept on it

First of all.....a lot of people call Rex Ryan an idiot around here......now he has had more failure then success but one thing Rex is NOT is an idiot....you don't survive in the NFL like Rex has and be a buffooon......so people that dont have the brain capacity to look deeper need to stop with that stuff. You like him or hate him.....Rex is not stupid.

So my next question becomes. What does Rex think that his brother can bring to this team that is missing.

Is it communication with the defensive players?

Dennis Thurman (in my opinion) does not appear to be a good communicator.....perhaps Dennis is a excellent coach but a bad seller or communicator to players? Perhaps Rob Ryan excells at this area?

Rob Ryan has not had sustained success as a defensive coordinator.....but he keeps getting DC jobs around the league....this means that NFL decision makers think he does in fact have something about him that would allow for him to be successful.

I am willing to wait till we see what this defense looks like next year before I pass judgement on it. Maybe this might be as simple as Rex is trying to convey something to Dennis Thurman......Thurman cant or is late conveying to the players..........and Rex and Rob are on the same wavelength

    Sincerely,

    Russ Brandon

  3. Is anyone forgetting what a mess the Bengals were before Lewis arrived. Geez!

IMO the coaches are just as accountable as the player committing the offense

Personal fouls are a lack of discipline

They sure are a lack of discipline...on the players part.

  4. Lewis was likely given a muligan because Dalton was out had his team not imploded with idiocy to lose the game. After that performace I dont see how he keeps his job.

Sure, it was Lewis who fumbled the ball and was called for two unsportsman-like penalties. Players are accountable for doing dumb things.

  5. Came across this pic recently.

I've got a lot of nostalgia for the 1970's. As much as I can appreciate an arcade like the one at Dave and Buster's, I'd give almost anything to be able to spend an hour or two at a vintage arcade like this one at the defunct Two Guys Dept. Store.

Big Ball Bowlers, Pinball, Home Run Baseball - man, those were the days.

I faintly remember Two Guys in Buffalo...or was it Twin Fair. To me it was like a Kmart. In any event, I think it later became a similar store called Gold Circle.

I too am fond of the video game machines that used to be in the front of stores, the neighborhood deli (before they morphed into gas stations that sold snacks), and in malls. All the neighborhood kids lines up to play Space Invaders. Then Asteroids, Berzerk, and Missle Command came along. Those were the days.

I used to love the Penny Arcades! This place on Fisherman's Wharf is a lot of fun.

Was there about 4 years ago and glad to hear it's still in business. A truly awesome collection of games long before my time.

On a side note, is that navy submarine still available to tour around the corner? Never got a chance to go below deck. My 4 year old son gashed his forehead on a pipe on the front deck. Spent a nice "daddy and me day" in the ER on my first day of vacation. He's fine and we laugh about it now. :wallbash:

  6. Just announced: Tom Modrak will be running the 2016 Philadelphia draft from his single-floor ranch in Sarasota.

:worthy: And John Guy will endorse the free agent signing of OT Jonathan Martin and WR Justin Blackmon.

I was a big fan of donahoe. He had some great pickups and drafts here. His problem was choosing greggo as coach.

Worst move: letting Pat Williams leave via FA when he wanted to remain a Bill. That move crippled the franchise for years. :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Best move: signing Brian Moorman. Don't laugh- great punter and person who made the pro-bowl
