  1. Interesting rumor that the new CBA is looking to possibly discount the QB’s cap hit to say 70% of its actual value. my first thought is this would be great for the Bills with hopefully the potential franchise QB contract coming for Josh in a year or two. The complicated part is how it impacts QB’s already under contract? That not withstanding, I think the Bills are sitting pretty. I agree this is the FA to sign one or two superstars. It seems to me it can take more than one season for talent to gel. Signing the big ticket FA’s now gives them a couple years before some tougher decisions will need to be made.
  2. Thanks for posting. Newest piece of information from that for me was Beane explaining how he and McDermott work together. I like Brandon’s approach and sounds very positive and non biased when it comes to player evaluation. It also sounds like Brandon values culture, but won’t let Sean get complacent with less talented players who know the system.
  3. Great team down the stretch. Jets looked really good that last game.
  4. This was more what I was speaking to. He just doesn’t strike me as a guy who is all in on football.
  5. No, not really. Saying Wallace was inconsistent and you saying the Bills had a top 5 ranking doesn’t mean everything is ok at DB. The Bills have a serious need for another cornerback. I don’t think it’s a first round need, but it is high up there.
  6. how do you feel if Lawson wants over $10 mil a year?
  7. Good write up on the injuries. I don’t like him compared to Watkins. It seems Shenault might be a little tougher than Sammy, coming back his Sophomore year and playing with two injuries which ultimately needed surgery after the season.
  8. I agree. I’d rather try to find another one in FA like AJ Green. He could be a great option if he would take a 1-2 year deal with a $10-12 mil per year. Bills could draft a WR in the second or later to develop for a year or two.
  9. I do agree wide receiver is a tougher position to project than some others. I am not opposed to spending big on a FA vet. The pick and the spend get me caught up.
  10. It does matter. I think Beane will be able to pick a good one Or two somewhere In the draft. Let’s not give up a pick and then have to negotiate a contract when we don’t have too.
  11. We didn’t have Beane. None of those other drafts matter to this one.
  12. I don’t agree. He was ok , very bad, and then good.
  13. Exactly. Was it the Pitt game he went out for a play or two? My stomach sunk.
  14. Really? Besides Tre there isn’t a real solid starter under contract. CB 2 is a very real need. Ask yourself this, if Tre gets hurt, how do you feel about the secondary?
  15. I agree 99% of the time. Every once in awhile there is a generational back that comes along. Problem is you get teams then like the Giants who take them in the top 5 when they have glaring other needs. Last half of the first round to a playoff team isn’t that far fetched. Bills have glaring needs at DE, WR, And CB to make a luxury pick like this. Not to mention Swift is good, but he doesn’t make me feel like Gurley did coming out. I am a UGA fan and was more impressed with Swift early in his college career. I think Swift will be good but think the Bills can find a great running mate to pair with Singletary in the 3-4 rounds.
  16. Then I stand corrected. I was thinking given he had a decent year last year and his name plus being a pro’s pro, he would command $6-8 a year. Less than $5 and it’s a no brainer. Structure the deal similar to Kroft’s now, get out after a year if need too. I hear ya. Sounds like I might of been a little high on my projections. If they structure the deal so it’s an easy out in a year, I wouldn’t think $4-5 mil a year is crazy. 3 years and then done so Knox and Sweeney take over?
  17. As others have said, Kroft would be the player and contract replaced by Olsen. Olsen is going to command even more than Kroft, but a lot more than Smith. Also Smith and Olsen don’t have the same skill set at TE. Olsens skill set is closer to Kroft. If Beane and the trainers think he is good to go, I like the move. I think Olsen would fit right in with the culture the Bills have and would provide another vet leader.
  18. I thought more highly of McShay before this.
  19. That’s happening this summer I believe.
  20. Every year you wait, the average for a position can increase . There is a benefit for signing one of your own players sooner rather than later.
  21. Beasley is not a process guy. I don’t think he gets an offer from the Bills.
  22. That poster reminds me of someone who says something which such conviction people will believe it. Like you stated this is an opinion. I’m not really sure why posters like that come here, they believe their opinion is fact and won’t listen to anyone else’s opinion, even when facts are supplied. But it takes all kinds to make the world go round!
  23. Shanahan showed he didn’t learn anything from the 28-3 debacle when he was the Falcons OC. Could of taken another minute and a half off the clock. Or forced KC to use timeouts. Now I’m not sure it really would of mattered but the Look and Feel of the game when KC got the ball back would of been different.
  24. I didn’t think it was trolling. More like sad. Like wouldn’t you want to share the moment with fellow KC fans in real life? Like people you have watched and cheered the Chiefs with for your entire life? I could see coming on here later today or this week. To come on Here within in minutes after The win is kind of well, sad. I feel for you KC fan. Wish you could enjoy the win with other KC fans.
  25. Well that’s it, Yoda is a Bills fan! Put the kids college fund on the Bills.
