Beane is just waiting. He knows who he wants and who is going to be available at a fair price. -

Rumor: Rivers to the Colts

What year? 2018? That’s a long time ago and a different team. -
Ravens trade TE Hayden Hurst to Falcons

I wonder which second round pick they are sending to Baltimore? Falcons needed a proven TE. -
Rumor: Rivers to the Colts

Eh, Rivers just doesn’t scare me anymore. If I’m the Colts, I am still drafting a QB. -
Devonta Freeman RELEASED

Big risk with Freeman. Freeman was not the same without Coleman. He would be a nice compliment to Singletary. I always trust Beane. I am sure if Beane did sign a back like Freeman it would be with a deal he could get out of with minimal negative impact. -
Falcons to release CB Desmond Trufant
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quick glance shows he has a cap hit of $15 mil this year, $16 mil next year, and then $14 mil in 2022. No way I’d like that for the Bills. Now a team that plays a similar D to the Bills and doesn’t have a ton of cap tied up in defensive backfield, sure. -
Falcons to release CB Desmond Trufant

The Falcons are just in a terrible position with the cap. They are an example of why ‘going all in’ and over spending in FA or over spending on signing your own guys is a bad idea. Dimitrof and Quinn have believed they are a player away for multiple years. -
Falcons to release CB Desmond Trufant

He is a boom or bust type CB. I think he would do great in the Bills scheme with McDermott and Frazier coaching him. Having said that I do believe Trufant will most likely get a multi year offer at or above what the Bills just gave Josh Norman. With Tre needing a new deal closing in on $20 mil a year, I think the plan for the Bills is to draft another CB this year that plays on a rookie deal to keep the position spending somewhat in check. -
CBA voted and APPROVED by players/owners

I wonder if the league will now push back the start of the league year for a few weeks. The owners wanted this signed before hitting pause on all operations. -

The 17 games is 2021, I believe the 7 playoff teams starts in 2020. very close vote. I want to see what was changed in regards to previous players benefits. I don’t believe the league has done enough to take care of former players. In particular players from 50’s through the early 90’s. -
Cordy Glenn possibly to be released [Update: Released]
atlbillsfan1975 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glenn did in Cincinnati what he did in Buffalo. Started out giving a lot of hope, and then got hurt and stoped playing. Both cases seem similar. Length of service might be off some, but a Bills win for sure. -
It is a very big deal. No other position group regularly has as many players on it working as one. There is communication done pre snap as well as in game that needs to happen quick. Guys familiar with each other should have an advantage. They also have a history to work with. Ie, ‘they are trying to run this type of twist like Tenn did last year’. All of that is important but what else is uber important is the fact these guys seem to like each other. That’s huge. Like to see a late pick in the draft for a develop interior player and Waddle brought back as swing. I still am not a fan of PFF. Ha

Interesting format for approaching what FA‘a will end up where. I’d take Quinn. Why has he been traded 2 times for low picks the last two seasons? Is it all injury concerns?

Predict Shaq Lawson's contract
atlbillsfan1975 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems very low. I’d love it, and hope it’s true. -
This is a great move. Kroft is the best all around TE on the team when healthy. Knox will be better once he gets the drops under control. Kroft is a solid blocker and pass catcher. From all accounts everyone really like Kroft and was bummed he was hurt last year.

For one more season at least. I think the plan was always to give him at least two seasons at tackle. I think with another off season to focus at tackle, Ford is going to look really good. having said that, glad to have Spain back! Big signing for the right price. Love Beane, just another move that shows we have a good front office and are legit.
