  1. So let me get this right, some people on here have now started to be contrarians about Beane? Jeesh, get a grip. He is the best GM the Bills have had since Polian, by far. If you can’t or don’t want to see that, I think that’s a you problem. May want to ask yourself what is YOUR problem?
  2. We got a bunch of very vocal posters who are statisticians. If only it were that easy. Using eyes and stats is the best we can do as fans. Beane, McDermott, and the staff get access to the players on a whole other level. We finally have a staff I can confidently say is way better then anyone’s opinion on here when it comes to player personnel decisions. Harrison might need a little extra time to fully recover. It’s usually a two year period before many players either are comfortable or fully healed.
  3. I think you are right and I think Beane might let the season play out. McD likes his LB’ers. Always had two good one in Carolina in Davis and Keuchly. I think Milano is a tad undersized. Guys like that have a tendency to maybe get dinged up more as their career goes along. Either way I totally trust what Brandon and Sean come up with in regards to LB. V. Joseph is already on the roster, he might be Milano’s replacement.
  4. Not really. You don’t think this staff knows its players?
  5. Biggest loss to the Pats this off season was their O-Line coach. Watch how bad that line looks this year and how dysfunctional the locker room gets without Belichick apologists sprinkled on the roster and staff.
  6. I would not be surprised either way when it comes to Milano. I could see Beane trying to lock him up on a fair value contract like Dawkins got for his position. McDermott always had two good linebackers in Carolina in Davis and Keuchly. I can Also see Beane waiting to see how Milano holds up physically this year. Matt got a little dinged up last year. I like Milano and would love to have him back, his size concerns me a little bit the more years he plays. I trust Beane and McDermott to know what’s right with the D.
  7. Yep. That’s a value. Not cheap not overpaying. It’s another example of why drafting good is so important. This move gives me some hope that Milano might take an extension for 4 years and $45 mil.
  8. What does it matter? There is no salary cap for coaches. McDermott is happy and the Pegulas have shown they will spend money where they can.
  9. I agree. Funny you bring up the Pats. I think the Pats showed last year how much special teams can impact a season. I do think the staff will do what they think is best. I can understand keeping Lee active. I would like to see the young wideouts active too. From what Brown has said they are prepared mentally. In two years Brown and Beasley could and probably will be gone.
  10. I do think Knox can fit that role. i look at it more like 5 receivers and then 2 players (Roberts and Foster) who are specialists. I think the Bills will spend considerable amount of time in 11 personnel; 3 wide, 1 TE, 1 RB. This staff loves having specialists.
  11. Maybe, but coaches really love a TE that can block and catch equally well. No tipping of your hand. Offensive coaches love the element of surprise. Lee Smith gives minimal surprise factor as to what’s coming.
  12. I am not the biggest Lee Smith fan. I know he does a lot in the leadership department, but at some point the young guys got to grow Into those roles. How grown leaders. The whole blocking TE thing is lost on me as well. Heck, Dawkins can catch a wide open pass as easy as Smith can. Bring in an extra tackle on heavy packages. I do think Fromm is on the roster. In a regular year wit preseason games I have no doubt Fromm would beat out Barkley. Fromm will be an amazing backup. 3 QB’s isn’t something I typically advocate for, but if it means they keep Fromm I’d be for it.
  13. I think Brown could take the jet sweeps. What do you think?
  14. I think Knox, Kroft, and Smith are active with Sweeney to PS. I’d like to see Sweeney beat out Smith, but I will believe it when I see it because how much McD likes vets. WR’s- Beasley, Brown, Diggs, Roberts,Davis,Foster, and Hodges. Roberts and Foster are special team guys. The early reviews are that the rookies know the playbook. I like their potential over the other guys. Duke maybe goes to PS.
  15. I hope you are wrong. Three would seem to be a better option, with 7 wide receivers.
  16. I believe from above it states you can place 6 vet players on practice squad this year.
  17. I am not on Facebook. Thank you for proving my point by trying to attack me. The employees of the NFL have a choice if they don’t think it’s safe, quit . Find someplace else to work
  18. The thing some posters here don’t seem to want to acknowledge is their lack of actual access to what goes on in meetings or with players and coaches. The Oline coach, OC, Head Coach, and GM and other pro scouts made a decision. I will take that collection from this Bills regime over anyone on here who watches tape and reads stats. First hand knowledge of particular situations is a big part of how a decision is reached.
  19. Another attempt by the Times to try and stir the pot. Misleading title and very vague article. Par for the course from the Times.
  20. This is the kind of talk I like to see. Ed is going to have a monster year. Transitioning positions and from a second tier college competition level, I still like how Ed played last year. This year and next will show why Ed should of been picked top, glad he slid to us.
  21. I am glad that Ed was more intelligent than you would of been. You always, always comply with police officers. You do whatever they say. Police aren’t the ones who send you to jail ultimately, lawyers and judges are. Complying with the police got Ed off and he gives him a platform to spread the word about his treatment. This case helps draw more light on how people can be treated by an officer. Good for Ed for keeping a calm head and knowing he would have his day.
  22. Eh, you are changing your original statement. All good. Fitz and Tyrod couldn’t win a game when it counted. They are classic choke artists, Tyrod more so. Fitz had a couple nice come from behind games against NE and Oakland one year. Other than that I am struggling to recall him leading the team down the field in the fourth quarter to win a game. Fitz and Tyrod never led the Bills offense into some juggernaut who didn’t need to score points late to win. Bringing up irrelevant names isn’t germane to this discussion.
  23. Either way you look at it you are wrong or comparing something you can’t. Let’s see where Allen is in year 5 and 6. That’s when Tyrod and Fitz showed up here, an unwanted FA. Tyrod and Fitz had average at best seasons with the Bills, and that was after 4 years of playing in the NFL. Jeesh man. Your bias shows through on this and makes you look highly ignorant.
  24. That’s not the same thing at all and you know it. Come on.
