Ed Oliver hearts Sean McDermott
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People who care about grammar in tweets and posts need to get a life. Ed is a good kid it appears. They way he handled himself during the summer with the arrest proved that. -
Robert Woods 4yr/65m extension
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What sticks out most for me was Woods constantly throwing mini temper tantrums on the field. Decent player, I never trusted his attitude. -

GR Stat of the day, re: Bills vs Jets
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Buftex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, like why Garrett kept trying to run the ball against Pittsburgh last night was mind boggling. The pass was working, heck even the pass the Barkley worked. Running the ball was useless. Take what the D gives you. When the D adjusts to stop the pass, you adjust and call some runs. -
What does Darnold's performance say about Jordan Palmer?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets have Gase as the HC and Darnold is already on his third OC. Guy is getting different messages and playbooks every year. The Jets have given other teams the blueprint on how to give your new QB as little chance for success. -
Miami has good corners. I think we might see a shift to heavy run. It will be interesting to see the game plan. I don’t anticipate Josh throwing 46 times.

MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are
atlbillsfan1975 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. I might even go a step further to say what makes the great ones great is their ability to shake off a bad play and move on. I can see that developing in Josh. I didn’t see him hanging his head yesterday after a mistake. -
Some sneaky stars in the Bills win over the Jets
atlbillsfan1975 replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the NFL level running backs know blocking schemes. Given Frank has been in the league as long as he has, he for sure had information for Williams. Not really sure how that is difficult to understand. -

I think the Jets D line and run game in particular was their strength last year. I also wonder if Greg Williams might of picked Frank Gore’s brain on some of the blocking schemes for run plays. -
MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are

Seriously. Sometimes I wonder if Bills fans ever watch any of the other great QB’s play entire games. They all make ‘bad plays’ every game.- 79 replies

Hmmmm, now that you mention it. Ha

This. I was really impressed with his getting back up. Different from what we are use to seeing out of talented WR’s.

Eh, Klein is better in run D than coverage. Glad to be playing Miami and not KC.

Right side of OL week two
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Oline was a wall in the first half on pass pro. The second half the running lanes opened up. Remember Gore has been over there all offseason. I’m sure he was able to give Williams some useful info in the run scheme. -
The Milano injury is exactly why Beane hasn’t signed him to a long term deal. Matt is undersized, this is about the time those type of guys start to get dinged up more, if their body can’t handle it. I think Milano in there is different than him not in there. I also wonder if another player can be found in the draft in 2021 to step in and fill the role. I think you can find immediate starting caliber LB’ers in the mid rounds.

Brian Daboll is on the hotseat starting TOMORROW
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Penfield45's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
100% overused today. I like the QB run but not so often. Having said that, it did seem like the only thing the Jets were good at for awhile was stoping the run from the RB’s. Daboll called a good game. I think his confidence in Josh is growing and having better players doesn’t hurt. -
I agree but I also think Josh did a better job of hitting guys in stride then waiting for them to get open.

Bills 27, Jets 17 Game Balls!

Addison had a good game. -
Josh looked really good. Room for improvement on a couple passes into the end zone. Really pleased how he looks to of developed from year 2 to year 3.

The play didn’t work. The play works if it is successful or even sets up another play later. I always look on the field first to see if execution was the issue. A coaches number one job is to put their players in a position to succeed. This includes training, practice, plays called, and personnel. Daboll failed by having the wrong personnel running the wrong route. The reason DiMarco was open because the odds favored he couldn’t catch the ball. It’s like leaving a center in basketball open to take the three pointer while you cover the guys who can shoot from the perimeter. Look, I got on board having Daboll back. For Josh’s development it could be the best thing. I hope Daboll was limited by personnel and Josh’s development, both things I believe have seen progress. Time to show it. -

Pat DiMarco streaking down the field should never be an option. Another player lined up there and running that route, fine. Call a different play. Sorry, that’s on Daboll to not realize the game situation. You can break the play down and tell us what happened and why, OR you can have proper personnel on the field to optimize results. You can also call a different play entirely.
